I would like to add Spring Data JPA to Java-project generated by Heroku. Berofe I tried to do this, a template of the application was working properly on Heroku-domain and local. What am I doing wrong here?
I've lost a whole day's work stuck in here. It is finally working now.
The solution is as follows:
I created new project by following: https://devcenter.heroku.com/articles/spring-boot-memcache (instead of https://devcenter.heroku.com/articles/getting-started-with-java#introduction as before) But the tutorials are incomplete and inaccurate, so I decided to leave little clues:
Use https://start.spring.io/ to choose needed dependencies.
git commit -m "message" instead of git commit -m 'message'
Enter:
spring.autoconfigure.exclude=org.springframework.boot.autoconfigure.jdbc.DataSourceAutoConfiguration and server.port=${PORT:8080} in application.properties
If the application still doesn't work try in the terminal: heroku ps:scale web=1 in Heroku CLI in the correct catalogue.
Procfile can't have apostrophes, only: web: java -Dserver.port=$PORT $JAVA_OPTS -jar target/*.jar

After reading OAuth2 document I resolved this issue by adding "autoconfigure" dependency.

I have fixed this problem by adding the following to pom.xml:

Maybe it shouldn't have xalan in the Maven dependencies.
I'm using Spring Boot 2.0.6.RELEASE. My application uses the Oracle jdbc driver and works nice with this kind of configuration:
spring.datasource.url=jdbc:oracle:thin:#my-data-server/database
spring.datasource.username=username
spring.datasource.password=pwd
spring.datasource.hikari.maximum-pool-size=10
spring.datasource.driver-class-name=oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
But... When adding actuator, the application fails to start. It seems that the /health endpoint causes this problem (maybe because it is the first bean which needs a datasource?).
The problem is that the datasource can't be instanciate... But it works well without actuator.
Any idea ?
I was wondering if DataSourceHealthIndicatorAutoConfiguration could be the source of the problem: this class has the anotation #AutoConfigureAfter(DataSourceAutoConfiguration.class)... But it seems that Hikari doesn't use this autoconfig class, does it? I see org.springframework.boot.autoconfigure.jdbc.DataSourceConfiguration$Hikari in the stack trace but not DataSourceAutoConfiguration...

If you read the log again, you will find
