Post a form on click of table row - ajax

I wanted post a form on click of row of table and pass that row data with it. I am passing data to controller using ajax.
$("#return_table tr").click(function(e){
$(this).addClass('selected').siblings().removeClass('selected');
var name = $("#cityName").val();
var initial = $("#cityInitial").val();
$.ajax({
headers: { 'X-CSRF-TOKEN': $('meta[name="csrf-token"]').attr('content')
},
type:'post',
data: $('#return_flight').serialize(),
success: function () {
alert('form was submitted');
}
});
});
This is my ajax.
My route is Route::post('/dashboard/return','Users\BookTicketController#retrunTime');
When I click on any row then I am getting error that POST http://127.0.0.1/dashboard/return 500 (Internal Server Error)
What is a issue with this code?

The issue is not in this code It probably occurring at your backend code, check your retrunTime function implementation.
check out this link understand more about why and when 500 error occurs.

refresh ajax function after remove

I got strange situation. after when i delete by ajax some row from table, and got button wich reload ajax function (getlist) i got still this row in table, need to reload browser then this row is not any more on list. How to reload list proper to get result after delete row.
<script>
function getlist () {
$('#getlist').html("<center>Pobieram dostępną listę analiz...</center>");
// Do an ajax request
$.ajax({
url: "views/getjoblist.php",
}).done(function(data) { // data what is sent back by the php page
$('#getlist').html(data); // display data
});
}
$('#getlist-reload').on('click', getlist);
getlist();
</script>
in other page I make delete with ajax POST:
<script>
$('.table').on('click', '.delete', function () {
$(this).closest('tr').remove();
job = $(this).attr('id');
$.ajax({
type: 'POST',
url: 'views/delete.php',
data: { jobname : job },
})
});
</script>
This is likely due to the cache. I suggest you set the HTTP header "Last-Modified" in the HTTP response header and the browser will automatically refresh the cache if it older.

Laravel 5.2 post route returns plain html text

whenever I send a post request to 'tasks/add' i want the user to return to a new page, but all I get is plain html text in a popup.
Route.php code
Route::post('tasks/add', function() {
return view('secrets');
});
this is my ajax request :
$("#frm").submit(function(e){
e.preventDefault();
var customer = $("input[name=customer]").val();
var details = $("input[name=details]").val();
var dataString = 'customer='+customer+'&details='+details;
$.ajax({
url: "tasks/add",
type:"POST",
beforeSend: function (xhr) {
var token = $('meta[name="csrf_token"]').attr('content');
if (token) {
return xhr.setRequestHeader('X-CSRF-TOKEN', token);
}
},
data : dataString,
success:function(data){
console.log(dataString);
alert(data);
},error:function(){
alert("error!!!!");
}
}); //end of ajax
});
});
Anybody has had this issue before?
You are using Ajax to call your Route method. So when Route::post(...) returns the view 'secrets', it returns it to the Ajax method and becomes held by the data variable. Saying return in your Routes file doesn't magically mean redirect to a certain view, it is just like any other function that returns a value.
You currently have alert(data) which just says make an alert with whatever is held by data which in this case is the html text of your view.
Instead, take out the alert() and put
window.location.replace('<path/to/secrets>')
to redirect to the page you want upon success.
Assuming your Routes file has something like :
Route::get('/secrets', function() {
return view('secrets');
});
You could say
window.location.replace('/secrets')

How to perform ajax call to doaction in ofbiz

I would like to use Ajax to perform an action in OFBiz without the page refreshing. The task will be like filters. When I choose any Checkbox it should perform some action and display the result in the very same page.
What are all the steps i need to do?
I would appreciate some sample code for controller.xml,javascript calling Ajax ..etc
Thanks.
You can use form submission through ajax on an event in your ftl's. Here's a sample code for ajax call from say an ExampleCreateParty.ftl:
$.ajax({
url: '<#ofbizUrl>addSecurityPermissionToSecurityGroup</#ofbizUrl>',
type: 'POST',
accepts: 'xml',
data: $("form#Permissions").serialize(),
success: function(e) { console.log(e);
var xmlDoc;
try {
xmlDoc = $.parseXML(e);
var error = $(xmlDoc).find("Message").find("Error").find("ErrorCode").text();
var errorMsg = $(xmlDoc).find("Message").find("Error").find("ErrorMessage").text();
if (error=='0'){alert(errorMsg);}
console.log(xmlDoc);
} catch (err) {
alert('Saved Successfully!');
}
},
error: function(e) { console.log(e); }
})
Here in response to the service called i.e. addSecurityPermissionToSecurityGroup you can specify the response in the controller.xml which you can get within the success key in the ajax call itself.
To see a full end-to-end example have a look at this OFBiz page
As you can see whenever you change the product configuration, the product price is updated with Ajax call. Then you can find out for yourself the freemarker file containing javascript and the controller doing calculations and returning it back.

Retrieve post value in the controller sent by ajax call

I am unable to retrieve value sent as a post through ajax call in cake php controller file
$.ajax({
type: "POST",
url: "share",
data: country,
dataType: "json",
success: function (response) {
if (response.success) {
// Success!
} else {
console.log(response.data, response.code);
}
}
});
I have tried with the below ways of retrieving the data sent in the above code through POST. But none of them worked.
$this->params
$this->data
$_POST[]
$this->request
The url points to the function in the controller page.
Please can any of you let me know how the value can be retrieved.
When submitting data via ajax and you want cake to pick it up in the usual way just use $('whatever').serialize().
if you don't have an actual form to serialize you can fake it by submitting the data as follows:
$.ajax({
...
data: {
data: country
},
...
});
Note how cake generates fields like data[Model][field]. you don't need the Model part but the data part is important.

Putting a JSON response into a hidden field and retrieving it into a function

I'm retrieving the number of rows contained by a table in my database with the following function using JSON.
function rowCount()
{
$.ajax({
headers: {
'Accept': 'application/json',
'Content-Type': 'application/json'
},
datatype:"json",
type: "GET",
url: "/wagafashion/ajax/CmsRowCount.htm",
success: function(response)
{
$("#rows").val(response);
},
error: function(e)
{
alert('Error: ' + e);
}
});
}
In the success handler, the response is arriving as expected. There is no problem on the server side.
The response is just mapped with the long type of Java which represents the number of rows in a database table.
I'm putting this response in a hidden field whose id is rows using $("#rows").val(response); in the success handler.
The above function is invoked when the form is submitted using the following jQuery function.
$(function() {
$('#dataForm').submit(function() {
rowCount(); //Invokes the above function that makes a JSON request.
var rows=$("#rows").val();
alert("rows = "+rows);
return false;
});
});
The alert box attempts to alert the value contained by the hidden field (which is the JSON response as described above) but it is empty for the first time. It alerts the actual value only when I press the submit button once again (without a page refresh).
Also tried to replace the preceding function with the following.
$(function() {
$('#dataForm').submit(function() {
rowCount(); //Invokes the first function that makes a JSON request.
var form = $(this),
url = form.attr('action'),
rows = form.find('input[name="rows"]').val();
alert("rows = "+rows);
return false;
});
});
But it didn't work either. Why does this happen? What is the way of retrieving the correct value of that hidden field into the preceding jQuery function?
The alert box attempts to alert the value contained by the hidden field (which is the JSON response as described above) but it is empty for the first time.
Ajax calls are asynchonrous. When you call rowCount, you start the call, but then rowCount returns and your code continues. The call doesn't complete until later (which is why ajax accepts a callback).
If you trigger the next step in what you're doing from the callback, you'll have the value. You typically do this by having rowCount accept a callback of its own, like this:
function rowCount(callback) // <==== Accept the callback
{
$.ajax({
headers: {
'Accept': 'application/json',
'Content-Type': 'application/json'
},
datatype:"json",
type: "GET",
url: "/wagafashion/ajax/CmsRowCount.htm",
success: function(response)
{
$("#rows").val(response);
callback(); // <==== Call the callback
},
error: function(e)
{
alert('Error: ' + e);
callback(); // <==== Probably want to give it a value telling it things failed
}
});
}
Then using it:
$(function() {
$('#dataForm').submit(function() {
var form = $(this); // <== Grab this outside the callback
rowCount(function() {
var url = form.attr('action'),
rows = form.find('input[name="rows"]').val();
alert("rows = "+rows);
});
return false;
});
});
If you want to decide whether to allow the form to be submitted on the basis of the callback, you'll have to always cancel the submission, and then trigger submitting it programmatically from the callback if you want to allow it.
