I have eCommerce systems with ads so I want to count every click from the ad card , so I add ad=true to check it in my controller. It counts fine and work smooth

but the problem is that if the page has been refreshed it will count more and more , so I need a way to remove this parameter
how can I do this. if there any way else I am open to suggestions
Upon processing the request, you can just redirect to the same route without the parameters.
E.g.,
public function action(Request $request)
{
/* Process the Request */
return redirect('theRouteName');
}
You can try this

I'm creating an api through which anybody can view a page, however only admin can see all posts, while users are restricted to approved only. This is implemented via is_verified boolean variable where admin is given value of 1 and user the value of 0. I want to create a function like this

However Auth:check only works if I have sanctum api in my route

If I run this code on Hoppscotch, it only shows if the admin is logged in (User don't require login). So a user can't see any post. If I remove the auth:sanctum middleware, only the else part of the code runs and no auth check or any stuff can run .
I need a way to incorporate both in a single function so that I can create a single route instead of creating two routes for different persons. Any way of doing such things?

I'm trying to capture the intended url in my LoginController so I can execute some logic in a showLoginForm() method I added to the controller so I can send the user to a specific view based on the intended URL.
I've tried the following and I cannot get it to work:

I'm using Laravels starts_with() method to try and match the start of the url string.
I just figured it out. I needed Session::get('url.intended');
I am inserting data to the database and redirecting back to the previous page using the code below in laravel

You can try this
return back()->withInput();
You can save the previous URL in session so that you can easily redirect back to their previous URL,
Try this in your function,

return redirect($request->session()->get('url.intended'));
}
Here, the Previous URL is generated by Helpers function of laravel.

In my crud controller I am trying to get the name of the person who is currently being edited.
so
http://192.168.10.10/admin/people/93/edit
In the people crud controller

This returns the first person not the person currently being edited.
How do I return the current person (with an id of 93 in this example)
Ok, So since you use backpack look into CrudController to see how the method looks:

$this->data['fields'] = $this->crud->getUpdateFields($id);

So now you can overwrite the edit function and change whatever you want. You can even create a custom edit page if you so wish.
Setup on the other hand is usually used to add things like
$this->crud->addClause(...);
Or you can even get the entire constructor and put it in the setup method because setup call looks like this:
public function __construct()
{
// call the setup function inside this closure to also have the request there
// this way, developers can use things stored in session (auth variables, etc)
$this->middleware(function ($request, $next) {
$this->setup();
return $next($request);
});
}
So you could do something like \Auth::user()->id;
Also it's normal to work like this. If you only use pure laravel you will only have access to the current id in the routes that you set accordingly.
Rahman said about find($id) method. If you want to abort 404 exception just use method findOrFail($id). In my opinion it's better way, because find($id)->name can throw
"Trying to get property of non-object error ..."
findOrFail($id) first fetch user with specified ID. If doesn't exists just throw 404, not 500.
The best answer is:

It looks to me like you're going around in a loop.
You check to see if the fullname element in your $username array is empty and, if it is, you redirect back to the same controller. I'm willing to bet it goes around in a circle like that for a while before the webserver throws up the error you mention.
If I'm reading what you're trying to do correctly, wouldn't you call another function within your Timesheet constructor if the fullname element is present to show whatever information it is that you're trying to display?
I'd suggest changing your logic to do the following:
if($username['fullname'] == ""){
redirect('login');
}
else{
//go to another controller method here
}
OK. I got it. The error is just because of I am redirecting to same controller where I have written the code. Everytime when it redirects to timesheet it enters into the construct function and it redirects again to timesheet. And the same thing is working like an endless loop.
So the fault was redirecting to the same controller.
