I have my domain purchased at GoDaddy and the code lies on heroku.com's hosting. I have my account on cloudflare also, on which I was provided with the name servers to insert in place of godaddy's name servers.
My Primary need is free SSL certificate on my site www.koalastore.in, but whenever I open " https://koalastore.in " I have been shown the error as mentioned in the image below
Any troubleshooting for this problem ? Experts please help.
Thank You in advance. :)

I recently purchased a domain name with namecheap.com, and added a CNAME record from my Heroku app where I am running the application. I am sure that I added the correct domain name to my Heroku app, and the correct DNS target to my CNAME on Namecheap web settings.
Previously it was working, but this morning I purchased an SSL certificate on Namecheap, and my domain just points to a Namecheap page saying "This domain is registered with Namecheap".
I followed all the steps to properly activate the SSL certificate, and it even says it's activated on Namecheap on the domain I want. Also what's strange is the the Heroku domains appear to have good ACM status.
So on the surface everything seems to be all right, but when you go to my domain my app doesn't show up.
Any idea as to why this is? Also if you have any more information you want to know feel free to ask.
I figured it out. I had to delete the default records on the domain. Initially namecheap sets a reroute, and CNAME for their parking lot page.
These need to be removed so that they don't interfere with the domain routing that you want.
When a user signs up on our website, they get an email verification link, but whenever they try to click on any link in that mail, they get the alert error message:
Suspicious link
This link leads to an untrusted site. Are you sure you want to
proceed?
We are using the sendgrid mailer system and we are certified to https.
Where is the problem coming from?
This is mostly in newsletters(Mailers), we need to verify the domain in Google
For authenticating domain using the steps below:
Go to postmaster.google.com.
On the bottom-right, click the + button.
In the box that pops up, enter your authentication domain.
Next, prove that you own the domain by adding a DNS TXT or a DNS CNAME record.
For reference: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/apps/xSV6J-Nmkmc;context-place=forum/apps
Also it happens when we have https(ssl) but we are using the link http
We were recently having this issue in our account verification emails as well. Verifying our domain through DNS records as recommended by Google was not enough.
The ultimate solution for us was ensuring that every link has an alt tag with descriptive text.
Verify!
Please check once for a DNS record. You can check it from below url
https://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx
And also check for the DMARK record which is found in your mx records or not.
Go to sendgrid.com > Settings > Sender Authentication and configure DNS
I am trying to use my hostgator registered domain on my node.js application deployed through heroku.
I have added the domain to my heroku application through the custom domain feature, and when i type "Heroku Domains" in the console, it shows up with a target of: "photosbysalwa.com.herokudns.com" and a type of ALAIS or ANAME.
When I try to add an ANAME record through hostgator, I try to set the address to "photosbysalwa.com.herokudns.com" but it won't let me submit the record because it says the address must be an IP address.
If you could help me with how to get the domain pointed, that would be fantastic.
Check this video its about how to point your domain name to heroku hosting.
It have godaddy domain name and its the same way to hostgator I think
in the heroku page in the settings add three domains:
1 *.xyz.com
2: xyz.com
3. www.xyz.com
open your Hostgator account and in the DNS Management page add in the cname the host: www and in the point to: your heroku url

I believe this will solve your problem
I currently have 3 DNS records:
www.erbij.app - CNAME - www.erbij.app.herokudns.com
api.erbij.app - CNAME - api.erbij.app.herokudns.com
erbij.app - CNAME - erbij.app.herokudns.com
Our web app and api are functioning fine. However, I'd like to have our email hosted by Google Suite, so I'm trying to add MX records:
erbij.app - MX - ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.
But I get an error that I can't have two records for erbij.app.
I've tried contacting my domain registrar, but they don't have a blue.
In this SO question the possible solution of subdomain redirection is mentioned, but how does this work? If erbij.app is not pointing to a server, how can I use server software to redirect all requests to www.erbij.app?
My apologies if this is a silly question. I know very little about DNS records.
I ended up signing up for CloudFlare (thanks Luke Ramsden for the tip) to manage my DNS. Cloudflare does allow users to add CNAME/ALIAS records to the root domain.
Simply change the nameservers in the control panel of your registrar, configure the domain on cloudflare.com and you're done.
Is you zone erbij.app? In that case you shouldn't have a CNAME record that has the same name as your zone in the first place, and also, a CNAME record name must be unique so you cannot have an MX with that name if you have the CNAME
I have a domain registered with godaddy and a free hosting in 5gbfree, installed wordpress in this and I don't know how to map my domain to this hosting. can you please help.
According to the knowledge-base article here , 5GBFree has following default nameservers.
NS1.5GBFree.com
NS2.5GBFree.com
Just login to Godaddy domain control panel and set above nameservers. Here's the tutorial you should follow.
