I am new to aerospike and wanted to create a new namespace in aerospike.
How can this be achieved?
I have installed aerospike using vagrant and running aerospike using following commands:
vagrant up
vagrant ssh
Please suggest.
It can be achieved by following steps:
Go to the vagrant VM
vagrant up
vagrant ssh
Open the aerospike.cong file in etc/aersospike directory
sudo vi /etc/aerospike/aerospike.conf
Add the new namespace in file as follows:
namespace kvtest {
replication-factor 2
memory-size 1G
default-ttl 5d # 5 days, use 0 to never expire/evict.
# To use file storage backing, comment out the line above and use the
# following lines instead.
storage-engine device {
file /opt/aerospike/data/catalog.dat
filesize 5G
data-in-memory true # Store data in memory in addition to file.
}
}

I just follow this page to build custom oracle linux machine image.
I want to use cp cp --sparse=always like Converting the VM Disk to a Machine Image of that page in my Mac. But, my Mac cannot recognize this option. How can I follow this step in my Mac?
I found out that cp in linux is same with gcp(GNU cp) in Mac.
I can run gcp --sparse=always in my Mac.
If you cannot run gcp in your mac, Please refer this page.

I recall from a while ago, I used a command that enabled me to see what version of SMB (CIFS/SMB1/SMB2) active mounts were using.
For the life of me I can't remember the command nor can I find it anywhere online.
What is the command line command to display active mounts and their negotiated connection method in OS X?
Thank you for your help in advance.
First establish a connection to a shared volume, and then, enter the following command in Terminal:
smbutil statshares -m /path/to/mount
The -m switch means that you will specify the mount point. You can also use the -a switch to specify all.

I'm trying to use the bmon command on my Ubuntu Server but without success on my OVH VPS (Works well on other servers)
$ bmon
No working input module found
Something to pass in param ?
Thx
This is working fine :
$ bmon -i proc
-i for input mod
proc (Linux)
Provides interface statistics on Linux using the proc filesystem (/proc/net/dev). It is one of the fallback input modules on Linux and will work on nearly every Linux kernel version.
See manpage ;)

I want to run a script on Ubuntu when the network is connected. The main aim should be to update the time as soon as the first connection to Internet is established.
I know that scripts from /etc/network/if-up.d/ should be executed. Placing a script in this folder with just
date -u > /tmp/test.time
is not executed cause /tmp/ doesn't show any test.time. I don't know if this has an influence, but I have configured a static IP-address.
So my question is how to execute a script (resp. commands) when the connection to Internet is established? and How to install it to run after boot?
Have a look at Upstart: http://upstart.ubuntu.com/
You can hook-up your scripts to various system events. Their documentation explains that all. I think you need net-device-up event, look for it in documentation.

I'm using a Mac to remotely access a computer in my university's computer lab. The Mac serves as a terminal. If I need to transfer some files from my computer into the one in the lab, is it, firstly, possible? If yes, then please guide me to it.
Absolutely, use the UNIX / Linux command scp (secure copy):
$ scp user#server:directory/SourceFile TargetFile
Update based on OP's response:
$ scp path/to/my/file.txt user#server.com:/path/to/copy/to/file.txt
