spring security : GrantedAuthority is not importing - spring

i am using the spring security. I added the dependency in the pom.xml but the GrantedAuthority class is not importing in the code.

in the user file the UserDetails and the GrantedAuthority is not imported from the security package. the github link is

I was having the same problem and I was able to solve it by updating spring security dependencies to the latest version and refreshing pom.xml

Could not disable default password generator in Spring Security , even after adding user and password in application.properties

I am adding spring security to my project. It is generating the default password in the console. I want to disable it. Many discussion says that just add user.name and user.password in the application.properties.
But even after adding it, the system still generates an auto password and does not recognize the user name configured.
Are there any recent changes in Spring Security related to this?

Maven fails to compile spring-boot empty project

I have downloaded a spring-boot empty project from Spring Initializr and when compiling it gives me the following error:
[ERROR] Failed to execute goal org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-surefire-plugin:2.22.2:test (default-test) on project demo: There are test failures.
I've tried with both jdk 8 and 12, looks like it doesn't change anything.

Spring boot and JPA

After creating project by spring boot and choosing JPA and WEB dependencies to my application I cannot build it and I have errors in output

I can't get springboot devtools to work

I'm using STS 3.8.4, I've placed the spring devtools dependency on my pom.xml, I tried to run my springboot project on the IDE, went to a page (template using thymeleaf) and tried to modify something on the template, I hit refresh but nothing happens. Is there any other configuration needed? I also tried setting thymeleaf caching to false but still no luck. Below is my pom.xml.

I finally found the solution. The problem was my eclipse is not automatically building the project upon saving.
