Thanks for the help.
It is a bad idea to mix versions of a library/framework, generally the versions should match. If you don't match the versions you might (and will) run into compatibility issues.
Further more I would suggest to use the so called Bill Of Materials files to make your life easier. Those include all needed dependencies, and require the definition of a single version.
Finally it is better to use a property to define the version and use that, so that everything is in a single place.
<properties>
<springframework.version>5.3.20</springframework.version>
<springsecurity.version>5.6.3</springsecurity.version>
</properties>
<dependencyManagement>
<dependencies>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.security</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-security-bom</artifactId>
<version>${springsecurity.version}</version>
<type>pom</type>
<scope>import</scope>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-framework-bom</artifactId>
<version>${springframework.version}</version>
<type>pom</type>
<scope>import</scope>
</dependency>
</dependencies>
</dependencyManagement>
<dependencies>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-webmvc</artifactId>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-orm</artifactId>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.security</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-security-web</artifactId>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.security</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-security-config</artifactId>
</dependency>
</dependencies>
With the BOM included you can remove the <version> from your regular dependencies, as those will now be managed by the BOM. You could also cleanup your dependencies a little spring-tx is already included in spring-orm and spring-core basically in everything. spring-security-core is also already pulled in by the other spring-security-* dependencies.
Now you can manage your dependencies with 1 single property/version and they should always match.
Solution found for those who have the same problem. The error is related to using of different versions of spring-core, spring-webmvc and spring-orm libraries.
It is for this reason that it is preferable to use the generalized method to specify the versions of the libraries, this is done with the tag of the pom.xml file.
Here is the modified version of the pom.xml file:
<properties>
<springframework.version>5.3.19</springframework.version>
<springsecurity.version>5.6.3</springsecurity.version>
</properties>

I also check for older jar libraries to be sure that there is no compatibilite issue.
Also followebd the api structure of the spring-core https://docs.spring.io/spring-framework/docs/current/javadoc-api/org/springframework/web/WebApplicationInitializer.html
A java.lang.NoSuchMethodError means that the class org.springframework.util.ReflectionUtils could be found but that it does not have a method with the signature accessibleConstructor(Ljava/lang/Class;[Ljava/lang/Class;)Ljava/lang/reflect/Constructor;.
The javadoc says that this method was introduced with Spring 5.0. Hence, it should be available in your spring-core dependency.
The spring-core dependency is also listed when issuing mvn dependency:tree (here just the relevant snippet) and it has a version >5.0 (here 5.0.3.RELEASE):
[INFO] +- org.springframework:spring-context-support:jar:5.0.3.RELEASE:compile
[INFO] | +- org.springframework:spring-beans:jar:5.0.3.RELEASE:compile
[INFO] | +- org.springframework:spring-context:jar:5.0.3.RELEASE:compile
[INFO] | \- org.springframework:spring-core:jar:5.0.3.RELEASE:compile
[INFO] | \- org.springframework:spring-jcl:jar:5.0.3.RELEASE:compile
The only conclusion is that Wilfly finds an older version. Either in your war/ear or as a module inside $JBOSS_HOME/modules. Please double-check that you cannot find a version of spring-core.jar with version < 5.0.
I am developing a spring mvc application where i have included elasticsearch dependencies in order to have some search functionality, which works also when running with tomcat plugin maven goal using mvn tomcat7:run but as i move to deploy on dedicated tomcat server it fails to run and gives some error.

I am creating a Spring Boot REST API that leverages WebSockets/STOMP to send messages to an Angular front end using SockJS. I have gone through great lengths to get the application to deploy in WebLogic 12.2.1C with out using a web.xml. I seem to be close but am having an issue with the Spring Boot Web Socket implementation I am using. I would like to use Spring Boot's implementation and not WebLogics. When I attempt to deploy the war file in WebLogic, I get the following error:
<Could not load user defined filter in web.xml: weblogic.websocket.tyrus.TyrusServletFilter.

Below is my entry point to the Spring Boot Web Application
#SpringBootApplication
#Import({
WebAppConfig.class,
CacheConfig.class,
SwaggerConfig.class,
HibernateOracleConfig.class
})
public class Application extends SpringBootServletInitializer implements WebApplicationInitializer {
public static void main(String[] args) {
SpringApplication.run(Application.class, args);
}
#Override
protected SpringApplicationBuilder configure(
SpringApplicationBuilder application) {
return application.sources(Application.class);
}
#Override
public void onStartup(ServletContext container) throws ServletException {
AnnotationConfigWebApplicationContext context = new AnnotationConfigWebApplicationContext();
// <some context configuration>
ServletRegistration.Dynamic spring = container.addServlet("Spring", new DispatcherServlet(context));
// <some servlet configuration>
// Here, set desired context class using 'contextClass' parameter.
spring.setInitParameter("contextClass", context.getClass().getName());
container.addListener(new ContextLoaderListener(context));
}
}
Please let me know if any more information is needed. I have little experience with WebLogic so am not sure how to proceed, any help or suggestions would definitely be appreciated.
I have changed the maven dependencies to the following...
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-boot-starter-web</artifactId>
<exclusions>
<exclusion>
<groupId>org.apache.tomcat.embed</groupId>
<artifactId>tomcat-embed-websocket</artifactId>
</exclusion>
</exclusions>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.apache.tomcat.embed</groupId>
<artifactId>tomcat-embed-websocket</artifactId>
<scope>provided</scope>
</dependency>
It still works as a Spring Boot application using mvn spring-boot:run, I will let you know if I get any errors when I deploy on WebLogic.
The application was able to deploy successfully but now I have the following error.
2016-04-14 16:16:10,304 [[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'] ERROR o.s.boot.SpringApplication - Error handling failed

Have you guys seen this issue before?

What is wrong ?
My repository is:
public interface IDomainRepository extends MongoRepository<Domain, String>{
}
when I add to it QueryDslPredicateExecutor like :
public interface IDomainRepository extends MongoRepository<Domain, String>,
QueryDslPredicateExecutor<Domain>{
}
it's error ->NoClassDefFoundError->Predicate.
Tnx
Querydsl dependencies are not transitive here. I suggest to remove the optional=true from querydsl-mongodb.
The Querydsl version seems to be ok, but very old.
