I have 2 questions need your help.
I would like to add a button on each plot to be a setting button. I use label with event listener and it works well ( as shown in attached file). However, my client asked me to change from normal text to graphic icon? How should I proceed?
As you can see from the attached image, the third plot is macd series. The value rage is from -3e-8 to 3e-8 (by my observation). I manually set the maximum and minimum, and it get incorrect scale as shown.
How should I set the maximum and minimum for yScale?
I don't know how to get maximum and minimum value from a series. Can you suggest me?
A1 – Unfortunately, the current version of AnyChart doesn't provide an opportunity to add custom-made buttons inside the chart. But you can use a trick and use stage based layout. It means that the container includes a stage. The stage includes the stock chart all other elements by layers. Using this approach you can place an image (icon) upon the plot and set a listener just as for the 'settings' label.

A2 - We are planning to fix this behavior in 8.4.2 update (approximately by the end of November 2018).

As a temporary workaround, you can get min /max value from your MACD indicator. For details, please, check the sample in the comment below.
You can apply min/max to the yScale of plot #0 like this:
chart.plot(0).yScale().minimum(minValue);
chart.plot(0).yScale().maximum(maxValue);
We are glad to inform you that we have released 8.4.2 update which brings many fixes and improvements. This update also includes a fix on the issue you reported. Now calculation of min/max of Y-scale works properly with small values. Update your binaries to get the fix.

I have the following result set giving me a specific status of an item . I need to build a SSRS 2015 Gantt chart to represent this data. I am having difficulty getting the data to display.
Result Set: StatusDate,Status,BegDate,EndDate, StatusDays
In the chart, I want the category to be on monthly intervals of the range provided (BegDate – EndDate) and the series to be each DAY in the range provided (BegDate – EndDate).
The bars should represent the item being Up or Down with “Up” being Green and “Down” being black for each day (x-axis) of each month (y-axis).
Hoped for Results
The current preview shows the X & Y axis' correctly, but does not show any "bars" to represent the data.
This is my first chart using SSRS and I am quite lost. Does anyone know where I can get a true tutorial on Range Bar Charts for SSRS 2015 or how I might overcome this “data Display” challenge I am stuck on? I appreciate any direction / guidance offered.
This issue was ultimately resolved by #AlanSchofield through another (and probably more clear) question, found here.
After choosing the correct chart, setting the correct properties, and determining the correct values I was able to get the chart I needed, but the behavior was still off. It would not show the a status more than once.
To fix this, and simply put, I needed to sort my data using Dense_Rank and then add the new "sort" column to my Series Group in the Chart properties. Worked like a charm!

I am trying to show machine states over time. Part of this is to reproduce/automate a report that used to be done by hand. It consists of coloring 2minute 'time slices' in Excel based on what the machine is doing.

The total state duration (for selected time frame) is shown in the pieChart, followed by the individual state lines and then the heatmap that people are used to. (the ZOOM and date selection buttons do not work in the fiddle but are there to select specific data ranges or zoom in if you like).
The line charts uses the original representation of the states, which consists of a time the state is entered and a duration.
In order to make the heat map work, I had to (I think) take the original data and convert it into individual minute chunks and mark them with a state. So for instance the original data specifying:
RUN state starting 14:30 for 300 seconds
becomes:
14:30=RUN, 14:31=RUN, 14:32=RUN, 14:33=RUN and 14:34=RUN
The code in lines 233-297 loops through the original data and generates a new one that does this. In cases where there is more than one state within a given minute, the last state survives.
This works okay but it seems that this code is exactly what is normally done in group().reduce(add,remove,init). But in this case I need to add multiple timeslots depending on the duration of a state.
Also, because it is now using a different crossfilter, maps do not update each other.
Here are my questions related to this:
Can I display a heatmap without supplying information for all individual
'cells'? (i.e. straddle cells based on a value, similar to rowspan in a table)
Can I add multiple values at once inside group().reduce()?
Is there an easy way to invert the yAxis so 0 is at the top?
When clicking a row in the heatmap, it selects a column and vice-versa?
I'm not sure if this should be in the crossfilter group. If so please ignore my rambling. If someone knows how to keep the charts linked by grouping better, please let me know.

Concerning Question 3:
DC.js heatmaps currently do not support custom order functions on axis but there is a pull request that has been merged into the developing branch and should be accessible to the public soon.
You could manually edit the dc.js file to set the sorting in heatmaps to a custom function. In the latest (2.0.0-beta10) version it is the following line:
rowValues.sort(d3.ascending);
and accordingly
colValues.sort(d3.ascending);
My crosstab looks fine in the web viewer but when I export to PDF it's clipping it like showin in the image. It's also making the columns much wider than they need to be. (The web version isn't doing that.)
Does anyone know how to fix it? I tried searching for an answer and didn't see anything.
Without seeing the parameters you're passing to your RenderTask it is hard to tell exactly, so I'm going to guess that you have PAGE_OVERFLOW set to CLIP_CONTENT rather than FIT_TO_PAGE_SIZE.
A note of caution though. This discussion on the Eclipse forum mentions that page-break interval settings might override the page size render options. Note that the OP on the linked discussion was having a problem with the PDF exported from the HTML viewer.
EDIT: according to the docs inside genReport.sh you are able to pass parameters on the command line (-p pageOverflow=FIT_TO_PAGE_SIZE) or you can create a parameter file (-F params.txt)
It is unclear to me whether you can pass the constant (FIT_TO_PAGE_SIZE) or must pass its expected value (2), so you might have to try both.
I think you have restricted the width/height of your report
goto Master Page then click on the general settings and there you find the type drop-down choose Custom.
Through this custom options you can give your own height/width of your report and too in the report layout.By doing this you can expand your report width
NOTE: The master page width should equal to the width of your layout.
I am trying to make a demonstration using cubism. I have created a custom context.metric, similar to the random() function on the cubism homepage. This loads my data set and renders correctly, showing a new row each second.
What I want to do now is have the axis scale domain update as well, using the date column from my dataset. For the purposes of demonstration, I want each second that passes in wall-time to correspond to one row in my dataset, which is hourly. I can set the scale domain when I create the context, but I cannot get it to update when new data is fetched.
I have tried to listen for context events such as change, and beforechange and manually update the domain there. It does not seem to work, or I am doing something wrong. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The context's time domain is fixed by the context step and size. For example, if you have a step of ten seconds and a size of 1,440, then the domain is the last four hours. If you use context.axis to display the axis, it will update automatically whenever the context fires a change event; you don't have to do anything. Cubism is designed for realtime dashboards, so it doesn't support advancing an hour per second.
So I've recently had to create a report that emulates a Canadian customs form. The problem is that the report is printed on 11" x 14" paper, but uses a metric layout. As my FoxPro installation is on a machine with US-English units-of-measure, FoxPro tries to oblige by using an English ruler, and doing snap-to-grid on inch-based measurements. This creates some minor design issues obviously.
I understand that the reports are really just tables in disguise, and I have figured out how to turn on the Metric ruler (instead of the English one) by changing a record, and that is working as intended. However, the snap-to-grid functionality appears to want to snap on 48 units-to-an-inch, instead of something Metric. So moving a box around using a mouse results in the box being offset (again) in English measurements.
To get around this, I have taken to openning up the report as a table and manually converted all Metric units with a spreadsheet, and entered the offsets and sizes by hand. While this has worked well and appears to be very accurate, it's still error-prone.
So the question is, how do I get FoxPro 8 to snap-to-grid in Metric units on the report, so that I don't have to keep re-entering numbers by hand? It would be nice to get FoxPro to accomodate Metric in a fashion where I can align objects in the report using a mouse, rather than punching them in as numbers and "flipping" the report into design view to check it.
For reference, currently there are the following translations:
25.4 mm = 1 inch = 10,000 report units = 48 grid snap points
Obviously I'd like something closer to this:
25.4 mm = 1 inch = 10,000 report units = 25.4 grid snap points
Note: Yes, I have considered setting up a Virutal Machine with FoxPro that uses a Metric install, i.e. a Windows XP install set up for Canada. However, that will take another day or so to get the installation done, along with the rest of the development environment, so I'm trying to avoid that.

Modify your report.
Right-click, get to properties of the report.
On the tab for Ruler / Grid, there is a combobox which is defaulted to ruler of "inches", but you can change it to Metric/cm or Pixels. Below that is your grid snap and you can change the default of how many pixels to snap to.
Additionally, if you use your cursor keys, you can move the controls one pixel at a time for more precise alignments as needed. And if you need to resize a control's width, if you hold the Ctrl key down and use the arrow keys left/right, will shrink / strecth one pixel at a time instead of moving the control. Likewise for the moving and sizing if you pick multiple controls, they will ALL move or resize respectively.

Just spoke with a freind lastnight who has VFP8 installed. Based on that version, there MIGHT be a way to get metric for your reports. There is a setting on the reports from showing based on PIXELS, or SYSTEM METRIC. If you system configuration is based on inches, so too is the report. If you change your system metric to that of centimeters (or whatever equivalent it would be), so too should the report respect in design time.
