OSX: Unable to open mysql workbench main window after closing it - macos

I have a problem with re-opening the main window of MySQL Workbench after I close it.
When I close the application (using the red close button on the top left corner of the MySQL Workbench window), the "main window" disappears.
The App Icon in the Dock shows that the application is still active.
When I want to re-open MySQL Workbench, I press again on the Dock icon. However, the "main window" does not open again. The only way to get this window again is to really QUIT MySQL Workbench (Right click on Dock icon, then choose Quit), and then to re-open it.
How can I re-open the main window without having to really close the application time after time? Do I something wrong? Or is this a bug?
I have version mysql-workbench-community-8.0.13-macos-x86_64.
I am using MacOs Mojave version 10.14.2.
I noticed that sometimes I can reopen the main window using the top bar menu View -> Home, but a lot of the times this does not work either!

The top-left red button doesn't mean "Quitting", only closing the window (some application automatically quit after closing, but some don't)
To make the Main Workbench window appear again, you can select the Menu "View" --> "Home". Then you should see a tab on top of that window, where you can click to go back to your view.
(So you don't need to quit, and open the application again)

How to close Vscode window without closing all tabs in macOS

I switch between many projects, all having triple panes and many tabs open. When I'm not working on a project I close the window using the GUI by the normal red close window button. When I open it again all my tabs are as I've left.
How do I do it with a keyboard shortcut? Cmd+W closes the current tab (which I don't want), Cmd+Q quits Vscode completely (which I don't want either), closing all windows. How do I close a single Vscode window with keyboard, identical to hitting the close button with mouse, so that when I reopen the window in the future all my tabs are intact?
Okay found the shortcut after searching with a better query on Google. It is:
Cmd + Shift + W

Xcode: "Hide Navigator" ⌘, 0 stopped working. Why did it disappear?

In Xcode, there is a keyboard shortcut to hide the navigator, ⌘,0. But it stopped working. I went to system preferences and manually added it back but it disappeared again. Why does this keep happening?
I just realized that I had the developer documentation window open. For some reason, when this window is open, the "Hide Navigator" keyboard shortcut is no longer active. For all currently open Xcode windows. However, the command (⌘, 0) works only once to close the navigator in the developer documentation window then stops working until you close the window.

Xcode: How to keep IB & Assistant editor opened when app crashes in simulator or debug is enabled

During editing I keep open Interface Builder on left and Assistant editor on right side. When a breakpoint is added or when the app crashes during runtime, the Interface Builder pane disappears, and it shows file which has breakpoint or crash. It's annoying as I've to go back to IB after each such instance and it takes too much of my time.
Is there anyway I can stop Interface Builder disappearing and crash/breakpoint file to be shown on Assistant editor or in any other window?
A simple workaround would be simply to duplicate the current window by using keyboard shortcut Command + Shift + T before hitting run.
That way when the breakpoint hits the offending line, it will happen in the new window which you can simply close, and resume work in your old, organised editor environment.

Xcode: On debug, is there any way to prevent it from opening the navigator on the front-most window?

I'm trying to figure out how to use Xcode in a multi-window setup. I would like to have one window be my main window, and then have others that I use to do occasional spot editing. Here's the rub: I never want to have the navigator (or the debug console, for that matter) open in those other windows. I only want the navigator and console to open in the main window.
Right now, when I run the app the debug navigator and console open up in whichever window is frontmost (causing me to have both the main window and the secondary window with console pains and navigator open). Is there anyway to prevent the console and issue navigator from opening on the secondary window while preserving this behavior for the main window?
I'm not sure I fully understand what you want - but you can configure some of these things in the Xcode preferences under "Behaviors". Under "Running" you can click on "Starts" and it will show you the behaviors for when you run your application. You can set it to show a particular tab in the active window or a separate window. You can set up that tab to contain just the debugger. If it does show the debugger in the other tabs, you can minimize the debugger panes, and I believe it will save that state for the next time it launches. See here for more details.
Go to Xcode -> Behaviors -> edit behaviors. Now under build and running uncheck shows Navigator.
In Xcode Preferences > Behaviours > Runnings > Generates output, uncheck Show debugger with Current Views.

Restarting firefox using the developer console (shift+F2) makes every restarted window have the developer console open

When I restart firefox using the developer console, i press shift+F2 and then I write
restart
in the command line that comes up at the bottom and press ENTER.
This is of course a very useful feature, every window dissapears and comes back, but each restarted window will also have the developer console opened as if I was pressing shift+F2 on everyone of them.
Why?
The Developer Toolbar is a global thing, just like any other toolbar (e.g. Nav Bar or Bookmarks Bar). Firefox will remember the visiblity state and will restore it when opening new windows, either the usual way, or after a restart.
Just close the toolbar in one window, and it will be closed in every other window as well.
