I am attempting to create an integration test which will test connections to the database and the data which is returned. However, I am running into the following error which has me puzzled and left unsure what to do next. Despite what I have read on Stack Overflow which indicates there are version conflicts within the pom.xml file I cannot figure out which dependencies are clashing or if things are left out. Any assistance would be very helpful!
Thanks!

Integration Test File: If I comment out #RunWith(SpringRunner.class) then it executes and prints the line. However, that line is need to access the JUnit4 features.
#RunWith(SpringRunner.class)
#SpringBootTest(
webEnvironment = SpringBootTest.WebEnvironment.RANDOM_PORT,
classes = webServiceApplication.class)
public class ReportControllerTest {
#Test
public void testRun() {
System.out.println("You are in here...");
}
}
why don't you use test dependency remove:
Its seems spring-test dependency is the issue.
Replace the first dependency with the second one :
remove :
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-test</artifactId>
<version>4.3.14.RELEASE</version>
<scope>test</scope>
</dependency>
add :
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-boot-starter-test</artifactId>
<scope>test</scope>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>junit</groupId>
<artifactId>junit</artifactId>
</dependency>
Also check this pom file: https://github.com/ibrahimkarayel/todo-boot/blob/master/pom.xml
To me, it looks like you have mixed Spring Boot dependency versions. I'm not familiar with maven, but doesn't the spring-boot-starter-parent initialize the dependency management with its own version?
You declare
<parent>
<groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-boot-starter-parent</artifactId>
<version>1.3.3.RELEASE</version>
<relativePath/> <!-- lookup parent from repository -->
</parent>
This is version 1.3.3, while you explicitly include spring-boot-starter-test and spring-boot-test (which you shouldn't need to add additionally) in version 1.5.10.
Spring Boot 1.4 or 1.5 introduced completely rewritten testing support, which makes it plausible that the TestContextBootstrapper is not found.

And when i make a ControllerTest, it can define method is
I tried to import as many as i can find but it still not work. I had delete spring-boot-test-autoconfigure folder but still nothing
You need to import the is() method for it to be available for use in your class, add at the top of your file:
import static org.hamcrest.CoreMatchers.is;
You might alos need to add Hamcrest Core to your Maven dependency list.
<dependency>
<groupId>org.hamcrest</groupId>
<artifactId>hamcrest-core</artifactId>
<version>todo.x.y.z</version>
<scope>test</scope>
</dependency>
I found a useful way to did it
.andExpect(MockMvcResultMatchers.jsonPath("$.size()", Matchers.is(listOrder.size())));
But when i perfom like this:
MvcResult result = mockMvc.perform(MockMvcRequestBuilders.post("/api/order")
.content(ow.writeValueAsString(orderEntity))
.contentType(MediaType.APPLICATION_JSON)
.characterEncoding("UTF-8")
.accept(MediaType.APPLICATION_JSON).andReturn();
result.getResponse().getContentAsString()
is a empty String. I dont know why

The code works:
.from(Http.inboundGateway("goods/{operation}")
.requestMapping(m -> m.methods(HttpMethod.POST))
.requestPayloadType(String.class)
.headerExpression(MessageHeaderName.OPERATION, "#pathVariables.operation"))
//......
It still works when #EnableFeignClients add to Spring Boot Application entry.
But once the #FeignClient instance wired to(by #Autowired) any config Class(#Configuration), it's not working.
I have checked http://myproject/mappings (The request mappings info provided by Spring boot), mappings "/goods/**" disappeared.
It's a simple project that explains this problem: https://github.com/Princelo/demoForSiAndFeignProblem/blob/master/src/main/java/com/example/demo/config/AnyConfig.java
Please, see https://github.com/spring-projects/spring-integration/issues/2752 for more info and for tracking the fix.
Meanwhile as a workaround I suggest to have a #Lazy whenever you try to inject Feign client interfaces.
The problem that FeignClientFactoryBean initiate a new child ApplicationContext for each Feign cleint and calls a ContextRefreshedEvent for them too early. The IntegrationRequestMappingHandlerMapping doesn't check for the context of the event and marks itself initialized wrong way, missing the scan for appropriate HTTP components.
I have a tricky situation here. I am using
spring starter parent 2.0.0.RELEASE
spring cloud version Finchley.BUILD-SNAPSHOT
The latter will provide jersey-client 1.19.1 at runtime. However another company internal library that I have to use is reliant on version 2.23.2 of org.glassfish.jersey.client.ClientRequest. In particular the accept method
/**
* Add new accepted types to the message headers.
*
* #param types accepted types to be added.
*/
public void accept(final String... types) {
getHeaders().addAll(HttpHeaders.ACCEPT, (Object[]) types);
}
uses a javax.ws.rs.core.MultivaluedMap.addAll which is not present in version 1.19.1.
What I tried
First idea is to exclude version jersey-client 1.19.1 that is brought in by spring cloud eureka and instead rely on jersey-client 2.23.2.
This gives another error:

with this pom I get this new error:
***************************
APPLICATION FAILED TO START

Description:
Parameter 0 of method cachingLBClientFactory in org.springframework.cloud.openfeign.ribbon.FeignRibbonClientAutoConfiguration required a bean of type 'org.springframework.cloud.netflix.ribbon.SpringClientFactory' that could not be found.
- Bean method 'springClientFactory' not loaded because #ConditionalOnClass did not find required class 'com.netflix.ribbon.Ribbon'
Thanks for the help!
It's not spring boot, but spring-cloud-netflix. Eureka client in particular was built with it and is a problem.
See this section of the docs: http://cloud.spring.io/spring-cloud-static/spring-cloud-netflix/1.4.3.RELEASE/single/spring-cloud-netflix.html#_eurekaclient_without_jersey
We've built a RestTemplate eureka client. To use it, do the following in your pom.xml
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.cloud</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-cloud-starter-eureka</artifactId>
<exclusions>
<exclusion>
<groupId>com.sun.jersey</groupId>
<artifactId>jersey-client</artifactId>
</exclusion>
<exclusion>
<groupId>com.sun.jersey</groupId>
<artifactId>jersey-core</artifactId>
</exclusion>
<exclusion>
<groupId>com.sun.jersey.contribs</groupId>
<artifactId>jersey-apache-client4</artifactId>
</exclusion>
</exclusions>
</dependency>

Please let me know any one know the solution.
First of all, Spring Boot with Weblogic, I think here you are mixing two web containers (probably wrong approach).
Regarding only to JPA exception is because is expecting JPA 2.1 and WLS 12.1.3 has support of it, but not by default. It is necessary to enable it (it is not in the classpath).

I don't know how do I solve this issue. Please take a look and if possible let me how do I solve it. Here is my pom.xml file.

I am basically getting the following error:
Detected both log4j-over-slf4j.jar AND slf4j-log4j12.jar on the class path, preempting StackOverflowError.
See also http://www.slf4j.org/codes.html#log4jDelegationLoop for more details.
Go to your pom.xml and on the bottom tab and click "Dependency Hierarchy" tab. From there search for log4j-over-slf4j. Exclude all instances of this dependency (right click on the instance and "Exclude Maven Artifact"). After you have no more log4j-over-slf4j appearing and have resaved try to run the program. If it still doesn't work then undo the changes you just made (might be smart to backup your pom.xml in the beginning) and exclude all instances of slf4j-log4j12.
I was hitting the same problem when working with Apache Storm . . . an example why one might work and not the other is how Storm pulls in log4j-over-slf4j at runtime despite the fact that I added "Exclude log4j-over-slf4j" to the storm-core dependency
You can solve the problem by adding "sl4j over log4j" in pom.xml
