Zuul and Eureka setup acting strange - spring

I have setup a zuul proxy with eureka(not as a separate service).
Sometimes when i try to proxy to my service I get the following error:

Need to use Eureka Discovery Client because you have mentioned eureka.client.service-url.defaultZone for Eureka Client and you are using in Application #EnableEurekaServer.
You need to use #EnableDiscoveryClient, So that Your Application will be registered with Eureka Naming Server.

FIX
Steps to fix the error:
Specify username and password for your Eureka Server in its properties file
spring.security.basic.enabled=true
spring.security.user.name=theusername
spring.security.user.password=thepassword
Create Web Security Configuration for your Eureka Server
#EnableWebSecurity
public class WebSecurityConfig extends WebSecurityConfigurerAdapter {
#Override
protected void configure(HttpSecurity http) throws Exception {
http
.csrf()
.disable()
.authorizeRequests()
.anyRequest().authenticated()
.and()
.httpBasic();
}
}
Specify username and password in your Client properties file
eureka.client.serviceUrl.defaultZone=http://theusername:thepassword#localhost:8761/eureka
EXPLANATION
My Eureka Server requires username and password to authenticate, which means its endpoints are protected. Any request without valid credentials will obviously go through a 401 or 403. Please read the warnings above the stack trace (I forgot to add it to the question because I thought it's irrelevant. Sorry).
2020-03-03 19:56:07.716 WARN 13368 --- [nfoReplicator-0] c.n.d.s.t.d.RetryableEurekaHttpClient : Request execution failure with status code 401; retrying on another server if available
The error disappears when you provide proper credentials
Remove eureka.client.fetch-registry property from client side as this property is used by eureka server to get the registry annotated with #EnableDiscoveryClient
why this property added on the client-side?
eureka.client.fetch-registry=true
eureka.client.register-with-eureka=true
this is added on server side.

Camel routes to resume/start Activiti task with variables

I have setup spring boot with activiti and camel. I am trying to configure Camel routes to poll email to do the below. Some examples on the same would be really helpful:
Resume a activti task
Start a activiti task
For e.g. to resume a user task we need to pass something like the below to Acitviti Rest API which works fine
{"action" : "complete", "variables": [ {"name":"id, "value":1}, {"name":"outcome", "value":true} ]}
I started with the below for setting up Camel Routes, but not sure how to add variables that needs to be passed into activiti process:
#Component
public class MyCamelMailRouter extends RouteBuilder {

The above throws the below exception during spring boot startup, going by few references from various google searches revealed that I could direct to activiti using the notation I have used but as the error points it is not there by default. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to add the JAR / maven dependency of the activiti-camel component. Its not from Apache Camel but from the Activiti project so look there what the dependency is named.
You can see that from the last stacktrace saying the component is not found.

Spring Boot WebSocket Rabbitmq Stomp Broker Not Keeping Connection

Couldn't find any other questions related to this specific error.
I can't seem to hook up my Spring Boot WebSocket demo project with RabbitMQ. Note that everything works fine when using the "simple" broker, but when hooking up the stomp broker with Rabbit, I get the following error (keeps trying to reconnect):
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM warning: You have loaded library /tmp/libnetty-transport-native-epoll8916930274033685449.so which might have disabled stack guard. The VM will try to fix the stack guard now.
It's highly recommended that you fix the library with 'execstack -c <libfile>', or link it with '-z noexecstack'.

I have a feeling my problem has to do with the netty/reactor dependencies I'm bringing in. Any input is appreciated.
First of all you really should be consistent with the Spring Framework (Boot) dependencies and don't use Reactor 1.0.0, but exactly the latest 2.0.7.RELEASE.
Not sure from here that you need reactor-tcp at all...
Regarding RabbitMQ part. You should be sure that you really have installed the STOMP plugin: https://www.rabbitmq.com/stomp.html.
Note: the default STOMP port is 61613.

jersey error java.lang.IncompatibleClassChangeError: Implementing class in jetty embedded

running jersey 2.5.1 and embedding jetty jetty-9.1.2.v20140210
I want an embedded jetty server capable of servlet 3x as well as jersey. I know that my jetty instance works as servlet handler and static file hander. however the following details I get this error:
java.lang.IncompatibleClassChangeError: Implementing class
I am sure it is related to cglib / asm but not sure how to fix it.
The pom looks like this:
