Xcode + OSX upgrade issue - xcode

ALL,
I hope someone here knows something about OSX and Xcode..
I have and had for a long time a Mac laptop with OSX 10.8. I did install the latest available Xcode for this version and was developing my program on it.
The compilation/linking process was working and I was able to successfully start the program from inside Xcode. And of course I was able to do debugging there.
Recently I bought myself a newer Mac laptop. I did install newer Xcode on it and since my program is located on GitHub cloned my repository there and tried to compile and run.
While compilation and linking were successful, executing failed, even before it even started (the failure was somewhere inside the Assembly code).
All libraries I'm using had been compiled with the same set of options. And compilation of my software was successful.
How do I find where/how to fix the issue?
I'm sure something inside Xcode changed which made the code generation fail. But how do I find what exactly?
Thank you.
[EDIT]
I just tried to run the program from the Terminal. Here is the output from the crash:

The error said the the library can't be found.
This library is coming from my projectand it is written by me. But I don't see a way in the Xcode to install the project.
On top of that everything on the old Mac works out of the box.
Does this an indication of 32/64-bit incompatibility?
[/EDIT]

Something that might help is:
do you get some message on the output / issue navigator?
what type of program are you writing?
since this was a new install, did you also installed the command line tools?
if it is an iOS program do you have the right components?

Faced the same issue on Big Sur update. Git stopped working as well. Fixed it by running following command in terminal.
defaults write com.apple.dt.Xcode DVTDisableMainThreadChecker 1
Original Answer Reference: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/651985?answerId=637934022#637934022
Faced the same issue after updating to Big Sur.
Found a temporary workaround:
Go to Xcode10.app/Contents/Developer/usr/lib
Rename the file libMainThreadChecker.dylib into anything else (I named it _libMainThreadChecker.dylib)
NOTE: If your project has "Main thread checker enabled" it may crash somewhere, so it's better to disable it.
This is a known issues
Currently there is one workaround for this.
You've to run the following command in the Terminal app to avoid crashes when starting Xcode:
defaults write com.apple.dt.Xcode DVTDisableMainThreadChecker 1
Now deactivate "Main Thread Checker" in your Xcode project: Edit
Scheme -> Run/Test -> Diagnostics -> Uncheck Main Thread Checker.

Any suggestion or idea how to resolve this?
Ok I managed to get it up and running by deleting ~/Downloads/Xcode_10.3.app/Contents/Developer/usr/lib/libMainThreadChecker.dylib
It compiles my project.
To be safe, I have copied this same dylib file from latest Xcode 12.2 and put into that folder. It is still working so far.
I had the same problem, I initially solved it using defaults write com.apple.dt.Xcode DVTDisableMainThreadChecker 1. After this, Xcode 10 seemed to work on macOS 11, and everything would build from within Xcode.
I then had the weirdest issue - when compiling from the command line using xcodebuild, the whole machine would grind to a halt and eventually hang, requiring a "hold down the power button" restart. The problem turned out to be that ibtool (used for compiling IB files) was not honouring DVTDisableMainThreadChecker, and was still crashing. This was somehow causing the machine to get into a state where it stopped responding.
The solution was to copy libMainThreadChecker.dylib from Xcode 12 into the Xcode 10 package. After that the problem went away.

Error message: "Electron Framework: file too short" on USB stick

In my company, we have a problem with software that we are planning to distribute using USB sticks. We tested on various systems and everything worked fine, so we gave it to production. After production we tested the sticks again just to make sure, and none of the sticks worked on macOS.
Also, none of the old test sticks (before production) are working anymore, but also only on macOS.
We keep getting this error message. Can somebody help?

iOS Simulator cannot start

I have upgraded my Mac to OS X El Capitan (version 10.11.4) and updated Xcode (version 7.3 (7D175)). I'm working on Xamarin (version 5.10.3 (build 27)). I get all iOS Simulator components (from Xcode Preferences/Components), versions 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 8.4, 9.0, 9.1 and 9.2, no version 9.3 available..
After all upgrades and a restart I open my project in Xamarin and launch it and an error message raise to say that the iOS Simulator cannot start. I tried to create a new project on Xcode (to see if it was related to Xamarin), tried to launch it and the same issue occurs.

I don't understand why the /usr/local/lib/libwep library is not loading.
There is no explicit message or information to understand the issue and try to fix it. I do not find a lot help on similar issues.
I tried this solution, but it just removed the iOS Simulator components that I just download with Xcode.
I need help, if you have any ideas, as I can't debug anymore until this simulator will start.
The issue is caused by your use of WebSense. This software injects a library (usr/local/lib/libwep) into every process, and that practice is not valid for processes utilizing library validation for increased security. Simulator.app is one such process that is making use of library validation.
You need to reach out to WebSense for a compatible update to their software.
What fixed for me is
sudo chmod +x /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Applications/Simulator.app
I was getting this too when trying to open the simulator via Spotlight Search (⌘ + ⎵)
Despite seeing it open
My solution in the end was Force Quit then yarn ios to get back up and running.

Trying to compile an .m file with DeployTool on MAC OSX

I saw there are several discussions on the subject but none of them managed to help me solve mine.
I am trying to compile my Matlab proj. without much success.
I saw this video and pretty much followed it guidances: -> I used 'deploytool'.
When I tried to build the project, I got the below plot. The line has been showed a lot:
2013-03-10 14:29:21.014 mcc[39814:4303] This process is attempting to exclude an item from Time Machine by path without administrator privileges. This is not supported.
Some discussions stated I need to do write "sudu matlab" somewhere but I do not know where...
