I am trying to make a 3D table in Powerpoint with a gradient effect that look somewhat like the image shown below but unable to make it. None of the default designs/styles look like the one I displayed below. I could not find a matching gradient effect in the Fill and Line option. When I select the table and go to format shapes and select Effects, everything is greyed out under 3-D format.
How can I get this desired effect in Powerpoint?
This is not a 3D effect, it's just a gradient fill
Select all the cells of the table
Go to Format Shape
Under "Fill", check "Gradient fill"
Edit the gradient to taste

I textured an object in Blender because it wouldn't texture properly in Unity, and then imported the object and texture to Unity.
I don't know how to fix this, I'll put both pictures here.
Blender Texture Before Import
Object In Unity
Okay, so based on your screenshots..
You're going to select everything then add a modifier called "Solidify", then set this to something very small like .03. (Unity doesn't like objects that are just planes).
double check all your normals are facing out. Let me know if you don't know how to do this...
Go into edit mode select all edges, then right click, select "mark as seam".
Open UV editor window (should be split screen with Edit mode on one side, UV view on the other). In the Edit side select all, then go to UV dropdown menu and click "unwrap". You should then see your object unfolded into flat planes over on the UV window side. There's different unwrap options, like smart UV unwrap, etc. I think just "unwrap" has worked for me, but play around and there may be something that shows your object shapes in a less distorted way..
At this point, since your pattern is basically repeating. If you export the OBJ file and take it into unity, and you add the image file (make sure it's dimensions are perfectly square) it should receive the image file as an Albedo texture much better than in your screenshots. You can play with the 'tiling' and "X/Y offset" till it looks right (you might face issues with rotation though.
BUT
If you want to line it up very specifically, you can export the UV layout as a png from the UV window in blender. Then use photoshop or another photo editor to change/rotate and arrange your texture so the sides line up properly. In blender in the Edit window (assuming you still have both UV + editor open) when you select a side it will highlight in the UV window the corresponding flat plane, based on this you should be able to figure out what should be rotated up/down, etc. Then when you change that 2d image and drag it into Unity, it will adjust and wrap around the object.
I'm pretty new to both, but the advice I've been given is to not do the texturing in blender, but instead to do it in Unity.
This is a 10-month-old post but incase anyone is curious or struggling the same, Blender exports models with a scale of 100 so you need to scale up the tile of the material (in material settings) to see it.
This is a bad solution however because then you are not working with objects on a scale of 1 so you actually want to check "Apply transformations" when exporting the FBX model in blender
I'm working on a report project and would like to avoid making a separate image for each indicator color. Ideally, I like to put a transparent circle in a white rectangle. I have Snag-It available and general Windows tools.
My plan is to put the Image in a table cell and change the color of the circle by dynamically assigning the background color of the cell. I think it would be much easier to embed this one image, rather than creating a bunch of different colored circles that all have to be embedded.
Any suggestions on how I can do this in Snag-It or Paint, or any tools that are free for commercial use that you can recommended for this?
This sounds like a good workaround to get an indicator with whatever color you want.
Paint.net is a free image editor that you could create this in. Start with a white square. Use the Ellipse Select tool to select a circle in the middle. Press the Delete key to make it transparent. Save it as a .PNG file and embed it in the report.
How do you customize the shape of the interactive hover box in Wix? I am wanting to make the box a 3 right angle pentagon with the other two angles the same degree.
Donnie:
Take a look at these articles on the hover box.
https://support.wix.com/en/article/creating-hover-box-effects
You may be able to find a vectorArt image in the images collection that you can add to the hover box
Sample Vector Art Images Available on Wix
You simply select the Add Element Menu item and then Shapes and then the "More Basic Shapes" link...
Adding Shapes in the Wix Editor
Now if you cannot find the shape you need then one approach would be to either create an image using an application like power point and upload that. Alternatively if you can create/find an SVG image that meets your need you can also use that:

IN SSRS:
I can only add Solid color fills to the data cells inside a matrix.
How do I add Stripes or Patterns as background fill instead of a solid color.
Is there a particular color code like '#xxxx' for stripes?
There are certain rows in my report that need to have stripes or patterns as backgrou fill.
Thanks
I have found some methods around this:
1- You can use image gradients to fill text boxes by right-clicking the cell and selecting text box properties. You can use the Fill tab to select a small image or item that has a gradient or pattern and apply it within your cell(s)/report.
2 - Another approach is to use a combination of Font/Color/Bold/Italic/Underline and Boarder colors/weight to achieve your desired result.
3 - Apply a gradient-style scheme to your report by using one or more colors and dynamically changing the hue as you go up or down the report. That way, the top could be darker than the bottom, or vis-versa.
I hope this helps.
Numerous fonts can be used.
Open the Character Map
Select Arial in the Font drop down
Scroll to near the bottom, select the cross character
Hit the Select button a number of times, grab as many characters as the SSRS textbox may require to fill its width
Click copy
In SSRS select the textbox then Ctrl-P to paste
Experiment with font size and font color to get the desired effect
Setting padding to zero may help
Setting row CanGrow to False may help
I find there is a little gap between cells vertically but it is close to perfect for me. There is likely to be a character in Arial or another font that works even better.
I wanted to draw a rectangle with rounded corners in SSRS. But, after lot of research i got to know that currently there is no property for that. So, i am trying to use an image of a rectangle with rounded corners and on top of that trying to align the table and other controls within the image. But, when i am previewing it or exporting it to a PDF file, first the image is getting displayed, then below that all other controls comes. Am i doing anything wrong. Please let me know.
Why don't you try to enclose your image rectangle and other controls etc. within an SSRS Rectangle with BorderStyle = None...
Try following:
Create an image (the rectangle with rounded corners) in your favourite image drawing program. I did mine in Microsoft Paint
and save it as JPEG.
In SSRS report design, in Report Data pane, right click on Images >> Add Image and point to the image that you created in Step 1. (Untitled, in my case see the fig. below)
In SSRS report design, add a Rectangle from the Toolbox to the design surface and in the Properties Pane:
a) look for the BackgroundImage property Click its + sign. then
b) Enter values for Source as Embedded, BackgroundRepeat as Clip and the Value property , when you click the dropdown for its values, should show you the name of the image that you embedded in Step-2, select this name
Resize your rectangle to fit the shape and add your items to this rectangle.
EDIT:
Regarding the question in the Comment, I don't think that the size of the image rectangle can be increased dynamically. If that's the case then you may need to find some other work-around
