I would appreciate any help.

Check the official Springboot sample of Google Cloud Platform to see what you might be doing different.
For example, I see that in the <properties> section it requires <maven.compiler.source> and <maven.compiler.target>:
<properties>
<java.version>1.8</java.version>
<maven.compiler.source>${java.version}</maven.compiler.source> <!-- REQUIRED -->
<maven.compiler.target>${java.version}</maven.compiler.target> <!-- REQUIRED -->
<project.build.sourceEncoding>UTF-8</project.build.sourceEncoding>
<appengine.maven.plugin>1.3.2</appengine.maven.plugin>
</properties>
Note that you are using version 2.0.0-rc5 for the appengine-maven-plugin so if you add it in the properties like above you should use the same version as in the plugin section:
<plugin>
<groupId>com.google.cloud.tools</groupId>
<artifactId>appengine-maven-plugin</artifactId>
<version>${appengine.maven.plugin}</version>
</plugin>

Thanks. I followed the sample app and add the differences to my pom.xml. That alone didn't fix the issue. Additionally, I added legacy health checks that to app.yaml that allowed to deploy the app (which took quite some time) -
health_check:
enable_health_check: True
check_interval_sec: 5
timeout_sec: 4
unhealthy_threshold: 2
healthy_threshold: 2
But after deployment when I try to access the app as https://< project-id>:appspot.com I get below error -
Error: Server Error
The server encountered a temporary error and could not complete your request.
Please try again in 30 seconds.
UPDATE
I added the resources section to app.yaml as in GAE Java is known to consume high memory as identified in this article
resources:
cpu: 2
memory_gb: 2.3
disk_size_gb: 10
volumes:
- name: ramdisk1
volume_type: tmpfs
size_gb: 0.5

Spring Security Authorization Server (experimental) - Sample projects, from Gradle to Maven (Dependencies)

As recommended here I now want to try the sample projects given in the experimental Authorization Server project.
I use Maven, don't know much about Gradle. I assume, that the samples folder is independent of any other artifact in the Authorization Server project?
I created via start.spring.io the 3 projects, added the missing dependencies manually, and the pom.xml look like this:

Are these pom.xml correct? Is anything missing, are the versions OK to use, etc.?
I want to change my webservice (Spring Boot, REST controllers) from Basic Auth to OAuth2. My webservice is build with Spring Boot 2.5.3 and OpenJDK 15 (might change to 16) and Maven. That's why I use the latest versions in the pom.xml. But sample projects don't specify versions or use older version, that's why I don't know what versions are OK to use.
Is auth-server necessary or can it be replaced with 127.0.0.1?
AS
return new ProviderSettings().issuer("http://auth-server:9000")
->
return new ProviderSettings().issuer("http://127.0.0.1:9000")
RS
issuer-uri: http://auth-server:9000
->
issuer-uri: http://127.0.0.1:9000
Client
issuer-uri: http://auth-server:9000
->
issuer-uri: http://127.0.0.1:9000
Also, at https://github.com/spring-projects-experimental/spring-authorization-server/tree/main/samples/boot/oauth2-integration there are 4 projects.
The README says
Run Authorization Server
Run Resource Server
Run Client
what for is the project authorizationserver-custom-consent-page ?
I'm asking about the versions I use, latest in fact, because for example I need OpenJDK 15 as I'm using """ all over the place in my webservice project (which will be the Resource Server in context of OAuth2). I cannot therefore switch to versions like Java 8 or so, as stated here:
Prerequisites
Git and the JDK8 build.
Be sure that your JAVA_HOME environment variable points to the jdk1.8.0 folder extracted from the JDK download.
I'm not sure if my problems are related to newer versions of dependencies I use.
Meanwhile, with Maven all 3 projects compile and start, but I'm stuck at the login page. After giving the username and password, it remains on the login page. It seems to accept the user credentials, but loads the login page again. If I misspell the username or password, it complains bad credentials. This is with samples from the downloaded sources of 0.1.2.
It is not stated why auth-server has to be used, and therefore I did the replacements described earlier.
What value will be replaced for registrationId in redirect-uri: "http://127.0.0.1:8080/login/oauth2/code/{registrationId}" ?

spring boot application starts up fails with Azure cosmos DB
Description:
An attempt was made to call a method that does not exist. The attempt was made from the following location:

reactor.netty.resources.ConnectionProvider: file:/Users/vishnuvuyyur/.m2/repository/io/projectreactor/netty/reactor-netty-core/1.0.1/reactor-netty-core-1.0.1.jar
Reason for the error:
As in the logs it states :com.azure.cosmos.implementation.http.HttpClient.createFixed(HttpClient.java:56)
The azure cosmos library is not updated with the latest spring boot version
Current issue can be reproduced with spring-boot 2.4.0 and azure cosmos db 3.0.0-beta.1
<groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-boot-starter-parent</artifactId>
<version>2.3.3.RELEASE</version>
<dependency>
<groupId>com.microsoft.azure</groupId>
<artifactId>azure-cosmosdb-spring-boot-starter</artifactId>
<version>3.0.0-beta.1</version>
Fix, lower the spiring boot version to 2.3.5 since azure db version 3.0.0-beta.1 dosen't support spring 2.4.0
Changing the spring boot version worked for me

I've solved using java 11, i created webflux from intellij for reactive microservices.

I had a spring-boot project which is connected with the google cloud MySQL database. I need to deploy this project as a service in the google cloud app engine. Once I deploy this project It doesn't show any errors and deploys successfully. But once I run the service It gives this error shown in the below screenshot.

I think this is due to using same GCP project again and again to deploy backend. As a solution i use heroku and deploy backend it is vey easy to deploy backend using heroku rather than using GAE.
