I have developed a Website on a dev environment, using Laravel and Socialite.
Months ago, I set up a project on Facebook Login in order to use it on my website. Login works fine on this environment, no errors.
Now I deployed it to a production environment, and set up a new FB Login for it. But now I got a generic error in the first login attempt.Image below.
Messages are in portuguese. In english: "An error occurred. Close and open your browser again".
If I try again, I get no errors, and Login works.
I have tried with 3-4 test users provided by Facebook, and with all of them the same occur: that error on first attempt, but works fine on a second attempt.
Use the same process on dev (create test user, try to login) and everything works fine. Login with no errors on first attempt.
The first project, for dev, was using API version 2.1. Update to 3.3 and everything continued to works fine.
The second project, for production, already started with API 3.3, and got all the errors described above.
As I copied all files dev->prod, every version (Laravel, Socialite... ) are the same on both environment. Just update hosts, users , database name (...)
Have now idea how to troubleshoot it.
Any help will be appreciate.

I am trying to use recaptcha enterprise. I got the necessary key in the console, I registered the domain (and even tried turning off domain verification). Everything works well for me on localhost, but when I check on the server, I get the following error:
'java.lang.RuntimeException: The CreateAssessment call failed because the token was: BROWSER_ERROR (of class java.lang.RuntimeException)'.
Can you give me some pointers on where to start and where to look. Thanks!
created a new key in the console and everything worked on the destination domain
I've got a working basic Java App that uploads some data to a google sheets file of mine.
I uploaded it to a git client, pulled it to my other computer, and it doesn't work on that with a 401

Any idea what could be different between the two machines? I understand it that if I'm using the same client_secret.json, it should be irrelevant which machine I'm on?
UDPATE 1:
ok, some extra info - i just tried my project at work on my work laptop and it worked fine! On first run it opened a browser window and asked me which google account I wanted to use, I chose the correct one, and that worked. On the laptop I have that didn't work, I wasn't given that option (that I remember) so how can I reset the google account that has been used to authenticate against?
I saw this in my cmd line
Please open the following address in your browser:
https://accounts.google.com/o/oauth2/auth?access_type=offline&client_id=blah-notputtingmyrealid.apps.googleusercontent.com&redirect_uri=http://localhost:42299/Callback&response_type=code&scope=https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets
Attempting to open that address in the default browser now...
Since it's working on your previous computer, the issue might be concerning the location of your client_secret.json. If you check the Java Quickstart setup, there's a part where you need to download the JSON file and place it on your working directory. Since, you're on a new machine, that file is now missing.
g. Click the file_download (Download JSON) button to the right of the
client ID.
h. Move this file to your working directory and rename it
client_secret.json.
Or the access token has expired.
Request assistance with hyperledger composer. I have created a network and web app around the REST API that was built with the composer-rest-server. I am able to add participants, assets and execute transaction with the default settings. I am now trying to add authentication to the REST server as well as add identities to new participants. However I got stuck. I have reviewed the information at
https://hyperledger.github.io/composer/integrating/enabling-rest-authentication.html
But I'm not sure where I should place the export COMPOSER_PROVIDERS='{.... information to continue the setup.
Any assistance, tips and tricks are much appreciated.
Ok so I figured it out. The problem was that I was running off an older version of composer-rest-server.
I installed the developer tool back in Sep 17 and did the tutorial soon after. I tried the tutorial again and noticed that the deployment command was different and it would not let me deploy my network.
So I updated the composer-rest-server and component cli and it deployed fine. I then followed the steps on the authentication webpage that I referenced above and it worked as intended. I deployed my personal network with the new command and it worked as intended.
Lesson learned this stuff is still being updated and I should be more aware on what changes. Thank you very much #nilakantha singh deo
Open a new terminal from inside the project folder.Format your COMPOSER_PROVIDERS in notepad according to the document you mentioned and copy the whole message and paste it in the terminal. Then you can echo it (see it) by typing the following.
echo $COMPOSER_PROVIDERS
It should ideally return the same json file.
Then make sure that the compopser-rest-server is running with multiuser mode and authentication enabled in the same terminal where you echoed and saw the COMPOSER_PROVIDERS.
In browser now type
localhost:3000/auth/github
It should ask for authentication .Rest of the steps are listed in the document you mentioned.
Cheers!
I have a console application which hosts two WebApi applications using OWIN Self Host approach. One of the apps uses EF6 with Code First. When I run the executable from the bin folder and make a request to the WebApi, everything works like it should - if the database is already created it just returns the results, otherwise it creates the db first. But if I start the console app from Visual Studio (with debugging), I receive the following error:
Additional information: Cannot open database "{db name}" requested by the login. The login failed.
Login failed for user 'sa'.
Anyone has any ideas why this happens?
EDIT: Problem is not related to the self hosted apps. I referenced the dbcontext directly in the console app and the same issue happens. I also tried Integrated Security and it still fails with "Login failed for user '{DOMAIN\USERNAME}'."
EDIT 2: I fixed my problem by doing deleting the .suo file. That helped me find these two questions mentioning the same solution:
Login failed for user "xxx" Failed to open the explicitly specified database solution
EF 4.1 code first causes weird (login) runtime errors
Can anyone say the reason why the .suo file causes this?
I'm new to AppHarbour and I'm trying to deploy my MVC app on a free account.
I keep getting a 404 error.
The app is coming from Bit-bucket and it was deployed successfully.
In my Hostnames section i see the following
so i have added the following to the Hosts file in my machine:
176.34.122.158 camelotfaultmanagement.apphb.com
but i still get a 404 ..
What am i doing wrong ?
And a follow-up question how can i edit one of the files to be able to edit the connection ?string to my DB?
It looks like you may not have any successful builds yet - You have to push to Bitbucket to trigger your first build. You can see a list of builds on the app dashboard: https://appharbor.com/applications/camelotfaultmanagement
To use the built-in .apphb.com domain, you don't have to mess with any DNS setup.
