Oracle driver not found while running spring boot simple app - spring

Question

I have went through the start.spring.io and got sample gradle app with web and jpa dependency added and then manually added Oracle dependency to maven local and added the same in build.gradle file. I am able to build the application using gradle task but while running it's say could not find the Oracle driver.
I have verified the final application jar for oracle jar file and found that it's present inside the lib folder C:\Users\abcd\sample-micro-service-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT\BOOT-INF\lib\ojdbc7-12.1.0.1.jar

I am getting below exception while running the spring boot java file

All - As I said earlier.... when I added com.oracle:ojdbc7:12.1.0.1 in build.gradle file I was able to run the build task and it's getting successfully run. The only problem was, when I tried to run the spring boot app java file, it was giving driver not found exception. After struggling alot, I finally went to Java Build Path option for the project and under Libraries tab, we can see all the dependencies we have for a project. I could see that, ojdbc7 jar WAS MISSING there. so I have manually added that dependency there as well and after that this driver error went away and I am able to run the application now. Now I am not able to understand, though we have specified the ojdbc7 in build.gradle file, it should be automatically added into Java Build Path right ?
