I have 2 virtual machines with CentOS. Both of them with the same version of Jmeter installed and working.
I am trying to run a distributed test, I have modified the jmeter.properties file (remote_host property and set the attribute #server.rmi.ssl.disable to true) I can make a normal ping between the machines and it seems that jmeter has access to the machines working as "slave" or load genarator but I get the following error:
[root#01 bin]# jmeter -n -t jmeter_script1.jmx -r

I have removed the firewall with sudo systemctl stop firewalld in both machines (master & slave) but I get a new error message:

------- Update 22-10-2019
Dmitri's comment was really helpful. He was right and the jmeter-slave machine was missing the Concurrency Thread Group. After I installed it, no more error messages, the test is starting properly and I get the start/finish info in the slave machine Jmeter Slave output.
I am using Taurus in order to execute the test and even if the test is running in the slave machines, no data is comming to the Taurus GUI. The Taurus GUI is up and running all the time even if the test was finished already in the slave machine (I need to kill it to stop it). Am I missing another pluging?
Most probably it's a networking or firewall issue.
Make sure to bind the JMeter slave machine to the given network interface like:
./jmeter-server -Djava.rmi.server.hostname=10.111.2.4
Make sure to allow the following ports in the firewall
the port you define as server_port, by default 1099
the port you define as server.rmi.localport
the ports you define as client.rmi.localport
Additionally you can force JVM to use IPv4 addresses by setting java.net.preferIPv4Stack property to true

I checked the items listed in http://wiki.apache.org/hadoop/ConnectionRefused.
On the exception, we can see that:
"Call From worker-3/ip to worker-1:50267"
Communication between workers on a unknown port (?) (50267)
And sometimes with:
"Call From master-node/ip to master-node:8020"
Communication in master on NameNode metadata service port (8020).
On another reference https://serverfault.com/questions/725262/what-causes-the-connection-refused-message, it says:
The message 'Connection Refused' has two main causes:
Nothing is listening on the IP:Port you are trying to connect to.
The port is blocked by a firewall.
Shouldn't this be handled by Dataproc?
Connection reseted by peer:
Failed on local exception: java.io.IOException: Connection reset by peer; Host Details : local host is: "<master-node>/<ip>"; destination host is: "<master-node>":8020;

My thoughts are that both errors are pretty generic and happened inside the Dataproc cluster, not related to my application. Am I correct? I'm using a retry aproach to resolve my problem right now. But I would like to understand why these errors occur in a Hadoop-based product like Dataproc and if I have a way to avoid them? Shouldn't Dataproc take care of all of it for the users?
I am trying to execute data import from Teradata to Hive using TDCH 0.15. The import is working fine while issuing a CLI command on namenode but failing with below error when integrated with oozie (using Java node). Is it because of missing library?

I am trying to set up Hadoop 2.7.2 on Ubuntu 16.04.
I have done the Hadoop single-node cluster; I'm now trying Hive with Derby for metadata.
I believe that I've supplied appropriate permissions on the localhost port in java.policy. I have Hadoop Services started.
However, when I try to run Hive $HIVE_HOME/bin/hive, it fails with following exception trace.
Any help is appreciated.

Your ubuntu server is refusing connections on port 1527. Either the derby server isn't running or you have a firewall rule blocking the connections. Run a lsof -i TCP:1527 to see if a process is running on the port. You can also try telneting to the port with telnet localhost 1527.
If you see a process on the port then the connection is probably blocked by a firewall rule or you have a stale process holding open the port. You can kill the PID and try restarting hive.
Start by debugging why the Derby server isn't starting by looking at the derby / hive server logs. These type of conditions are usually caused by permission issues on linux file paths or logs etc.
You may want to do some research on using mysql for your hive metadata if you plan on using this for more than a sandbox environment.
I get this error when I try to run hadoop jar to remote node, I have one master node and few slaves node in multi-cluster. I have two problems
When I run start-all.sh it ask me for password even though I create ssh auth and I can ssh to remote and localhost without password. For example if if run start-all.ssh, I get user#mycomputername: password, but when I keep hit enter, all the daemons will run after all.
is the below error.

When I run jps, I get:
32643 Jps
32041
31288 SecondaryNameNode
31445 TaskTracker
31353 JobTracker
31106 NameNode
I notice that the data node is missing (or blank). Any ideas on how to solve the problem?
