Telerik RadSpreadsheet to PDF - telerik

I’m currently using web forms and VB.NET I’ve tried following the examples and docs on Teleriks website, however the results are not as expected. It appears that Telerik is taking a screen capture and turning that into a PDF.
What I’m needing is to export the spreadsheet that is displayed in the RadSpreadsheet control into a PDF document such that the results are identical to what’s being displayed.
I’m starting to wonder if Telerik doesn’t actually do anything but take screen shots and save them as a PDF. Even their demo does that. Does anyone know how to go about exporting the Excel file into a PDF? Again their documentation to me isn’t really clear.

there are several libraries used to process documents. They are called Telerik Document Processing. You can use them to generate, modify or convert documents. You could use the RadSpreadProcessing library to export your grid data and then convert the Workbook to a PDF document. Here is the documentation of the PDF export feature https://docs.telerik.com/devtools/document-processing/libraries/radspreadprocessing/formats-and-conversion/pdf/pdfformatprovider
The PDF documents generated this way are not screenshot, they are real PDF documents.

Does summernote allow Microsoft word document upload

Does summernote allow Microsoft word document upload through it's UI just like image upload.
You can only achieve this by implementing a custom button/function. If you want to show a thumbnail of a file and a link to download the document you can do this by managing your html. If you want to show the entire document on summernote I think it's not so trivial, you will need to find third-party libs for converting word format to html.

Umbraco - how to insert clickable images into page?

I am a beginner with Umbraco. I am able to upload images to the Media Library and then put them onto the page, but for my sidebars I want the images to be clickable links to other parts of my site and other sites.
At the moment I am using the Rich Text Editor to write an anchor tag etc. but this seems ridiculous and I don't want content authors [attempting to be] writing HTML.
It seems like there should be a built-in data type for this, or a property on the image but I see nothing. Do I need to write my own Razor code as a DataType? This seems like such a common thing that I'm surprised there is not a built-in solution.
I'm using 7.2.8
If you're already using the RTE, you can just select the image and click the Link button, then whatever you have selected (in this case the image) should become a link. No need to make your own HTML :-)

How to compare the layout of pdf files programmatically?

It is possible to rip the text from pdf and comapre it. And here i need to compare if the layout of the pdf with another pdf file. Is it possible programmatically? There are third party tools to do that, but is it available for testing using selenium or any programming language?
I have gone through google, but couldn't find a solid solution for this yet? Any help appreciated.
With PDF Box of apache you should be among other things be able to extract the text from existing PDF documents.
ps: you probably have to create a custom program in jave to extract and compare and invoke it from selinium.

Show PDF saved as blob in oracle db in Birt report

I am designing a Birt report where we have a requirement of showing PDF which is saved as Blob in oracle DB. What tried to add it as dynamic image in my table column of report. But when i generate report i get output in some bytes format not as pdf. Is it possible to show a pdf in report which is saved as blob in DB table.
BIRT doesn't recognize PDF as an image format probably.
I don't think this is supported.
BTW, the BIRT ROM documentation does not say anything about which formats are supported.
Handling PDF like an image seems weird, anyway. A PDF can have multiple pages.
In our application, we use a post-processing tool (you could use iText for this) to append the PDF to the BIRT-generated PDF. However, this approach depends on the way you have BIRT integrated into your application.
For example, it will probably not work with the sample WebViewer.

Create PDF form-fillable fields from Visual studio

A bit of a Visual Studio 2010 newbie here, but I have developed a modest working knowledge of how to create report forms linked to a database, but I have come across something that I have yet to face.
I have created a report that has three tables on it. Tables 1 (equipment specs) and 2 (operation schedule) are linked to my database. Table 3 is a table (equipment performance audit) that will need to be populated by the people out in the field. They will have to populate these fields in a PDF editor (Adobe) while they are out in the field and simply save them to PDF file. I do not believe there is a plan to have them to be imported back into a database table (which I think we should, but I don't help make those decisions...yet), so we don't need to worry about that.
The problem that I am facing is that I have no idea how to generate the fillable (i.e. text box?) fields for the PDF in Visual Studio, I tried inserting text boxes, but that didn't work...
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Have a look at the ITextSharp library. It will allow you to create PDF files on the fly. I'm pretty sure that it is also able to create PDF forms as well.
ITextSharp is a port of the JAVA based IText PDF library. so most of the conceptual information that applies to IText will also apply to ITextsharp
