Get query string in laravel 6 - laravel

I have a problem here I send the date via url, so my url becomes like this
localhost:8000/info/transaksi/89?start_date=2019-09-20&end_date=2019-12-20
I want to take my time to be a variable containing something like this
$var = ?start_date=2019-09-20&end_date=2019-12-20
can it be posible?
or can I replace my web.php url request on the controller?
localhost:8000/info/transaksi/89?start_date=2019-09-20&end_date=2019-12-20
be like this
sandbox/synch/account/89?start_date=2019-09-20&end_date=2019-12-20
i'm only need start_date=2019-09-20&end_date=2019-12-20
i try with
$input = $request->all();
but it produces a different format because it becomes an array

Get query string:
$uri = \Request::getRequestUri();
$query = parse_url($uri)['query'];
$query is the query string.

get explicitly data.
$start_date = request()->start_date;
$end_date = request()->end_date;

Get raw query string:
$request->getQueryString()

How to get string value using eloquent query

I am trying to execute a query using eloquent, however it returns me an array. What I want is to only get the string value of my query.
This is what I get
[{"name":"hey"}] [{"name":"sdasdasd"}]
Here's my eloquent query:
$categoryName = Category::select('name')->where('id', request('category'))->get();
$subCategory = Subcategory::select('name')->where('id', request('subCat'))->get();
as per the Laravel Docs
Retrieving A Single Row / Column From A Table
If you just need to retrieve a single row from the database table, you may use the first method. This method will return a single stdClass object:
$user = DB::table('users')->where('name', 'John')->first();
echo $user->name;
If you don't even need an entire row, you may extract a single value from a record using the value method. This method will return the value of the column directly:
$email = DB::table('users')->where('name', 'John')->value('email');
so in your example maybe you need to do something like the following :
$subCategory = Subcategory::select('name')->where('id', request('subCat'))-> first();
echo $subCategory->name;
There are so many ways to achive your goal.
Solutions
Use pluck().
$categoryName = Category::select('name')
->where('id', request('category'))
->pluck()
->first();
Use model properties.
$categoryName = Category::find(request('category'))
->name;
If you take only name then follow the below code.
$categoryName = Category::where('id', request('category'))->first()->name;
$subCategory = Subcategory::where('id', request('subCat'))->first()->name;
echo $categoryName;
echo $subCategory;
If you take all columns in a row follow the below code:
$categoryName = Category::where('id', request('category'))->first();
$subCategory = Subcategory::where('id', request('subCat'))->first();
echo $subCategory->name;
echo $categoryName->name;
I hope this i may help you.Try this.
You can get the answer using
$name = DB::table('Category')->where('id','=',request('category'))->pluck('name')->first();
echo $name;
$name = Category::select('name')->where('id', request('category'))->take(1)->orderBy('id','asc')->first()->name;
echo $name;
OR
echo Category::select('name')->where('id', request('category'))->take(1)->orderBy('id','asc')->first()->name;

How to use search value contain in array field using eloquent in Laravel

I'm working on laravel array serialize. Below is serialize in controller.
public function CreateSave(CreateTestTopicRequest $request){
...code..
$testtopic->class_room_id = $request->classroom;
$testtopic->roomno = serialize($request->roomno);
...code..
}
Then, roomno will be saved to database like.
a:2:{i:0;s:1:"1";i:1;s:1:"2";}
I would like to get result. For example class_room_id = 1 and roomno only contain in roomno array. I may use command to get all as below.
$testtopics = TestTopic::where('class_room_id',1)->get();
But, I do not know to get record only class_room_id = 1 and roomno contain in array. Any advice or guidance on this would be greatly appreciated, Thanks
You can use like search in json fields
TestTopic::where('class_room_id',1)->where('roomno', 'like', '%"id": 1%')->first()
When checking for an array of values the whereIn method can be used:
$roomno = 'a:2:{i:0;s:1:"1";i:1;s:1:"2";}';
$testtopics = TestTopic::where('class_room_id',1)
->whereIn('roomno', unserialize($roomno))
->get();
Multiple where statements can be combined by passing an array:
$roomno = 'a:2:{i:0;s:1:"1";i:1;s:1:"2";}';
$users = TestTopic::where([
['class_room_id', '=', '1'],
['roomno', '=', $roomno],
])->get();

Codeigniter Query binding multiple fields with the same value

I'm in a situation where I'm doing a MySQL query with Codeigniter and where I have a lot of fields value request which are ALL the same.
Example:
$this->db->query('SELECT * FROM abc WHERE user_id = ? AND msg_from = ? AND msg_to != ?', [$id, $id, $id]);
This has just 3 question marks but the query I'm working on is HUGE and has 19 question marks WHICH ARE ALL THE SAME variable.
So I was trying to figure out how to tell Codeigniter all question marks are pointing to the same variable without having to fill an array with 19 times the same variable.
I thought of a for-loop but I wanted to know if a shortcut exist.
you should be able to do this with Codeigniters Query Builder pretty easily
Something like that should work:
$this->db
->select('*')
->from('abc');
$arrFields = array('users_id', 'msg_from', 'msg_to');
foreach($arrFields AS $val)
{
$this->db->where($val, $id);
}
$query = $this->db->get();

Using querystrings with Laravel

I have a URL www.mydomain.com/jobs?applications=2|4|6
I am trying to get the values to work with my Input::get but failing. I have tried using array but this doesn't work. Can anyone advise? I'm unfamiliar with using Laravel with this structure of querystring.
$applicationIDs = Input::get('applications');
$applications = Job::with('users');
if(!empty($applicationIDs)){
$applications->whereIn('id', $applicationIDs);
}
$applications = $applications->get();
Your applications parameter is just a string. Use explode to turn it into an array of ids:
$applicationIDs = explode('|', Input::get('applications'));

Laravel4 raw statement in the middle of complex where

I have a quite complex search method which handles the $input array from a controller, the thing is that I want to perform a custom SQL statement in the middle of it, for example:
$input['myField'] = array('condition' => 'rawStatement', value => 'AND WHERE LEFT(field,9) = 10`
and that would apply into my busy-conditions-method-builder
You can see the method at
http://pastebin.com/BNUKk2Xd
I'm trying to apply it on lines 52-54 but cant seem to get it working.
I know this is an old question but looking at your pastbin you have to chain your query like.
$query = User::join('user_personal','users.id','=','user_personal.user_id');
# Join user askings
$query = $query->leftJoin('user_askings','users.id','=','user_askings.user_id');
$query = ..........
$query = $query->orderBy('users.profile_score','DESC');
$query = $query->groupBy('users.id')->paginate(32);
return $query;
