Analysis Services with Visual Studio 2022

I installed visual studio 2022 with all the necessary extensions for the analysis service but when I want to create a project in visual studio I do not have the ability to create a tabular project. Do I need to install anything?
I have the same issue. Found this: docs.microsoft
The extensions for Analysis Services, Integration Services, and Reporting Services projects are not available for Visual Studio 2022 at this time.
By now, you can use the preview extensions for vs 2022, according to the link below.
Navigate to Tools > Options and then select Extensions and Updates under General. Under "Additional Extension Galleries", enter the following details: Name: Microsoft BI VSIX Preview URL: http://aka.ms/ProBI-VSIX2022 After entering these settings, your "Extensions and Updates" dialog will show updates for the extension when there is a new release candidate that you can install to provide feedback for a day or two before the VS Gallery VSIX is updated.
The extension is now released in Visual Studio Gallery at https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=ProBITools.MicrosoftAnalysisServicesModelingProjects2022.

visual studio 2019 open solution file incompatible

I think I was using visual studio 2017 and wrote a SSIS package. Now I installed visual studio 2019 and can't open the solution file. Error:
Unsupported This version of Visual Studio is unable to open the
following projects. The project types may not be installed or this
version of Visual Studio may not support them. For more information
on enabling these project types or otherwise migrating your assets,
please see the details in the "Migration Report" displayed after
clicking OK.
- ABC, "C:\Users\XYZ\ABC.dtproj"
Non-functional changes required Visual Studio will automatically make
non-functional changes to the following projects in order to enable
them to open in Visual Studio 2015, Visual Studio 2013, Visual Studio
2012, and Visual Studio 2010 SP1. Project behavior will not be
impacted.
- ABC_SSIS, "C:\Users\XYZ\ABC_SSIS.sln"
I tried "Right-click on the project and reload" - didn't work.
I tried to confirm SSDT is installed:
it is installed at the installation interface, but doesn't exist in extension manager:
SSIS is a seperate extension now in Visual Studio 2019. You can install that extension in Visual Studio market place. Choose Online tab and search for "SQL Server Integration Services Projects".Hope it can help your problem
1.Extensions -> Microsoft Reporting Service Project
2.and then close visual studio
3.VSIX installer will complete automatically
4.If your project unloaded, right click on project and reload
Today I faced this issue,
Cause
The reason for issue is,
I saw a yellow bg notification at the top of IDE showing performance issue , with option to "disable this" to improve the performance.
I chose disable, later next day when I opened the project, It showed the project is not compatible.
I did Repair SSIS, Uninstall and Reinstall SSIS, and also updated the SSIS to latest version. None of these 3 ways resolved the issue.
Solution
But, I found Manage Extension submenu item under Extension menu, Under installed tab, SSIS extension was in disabled status. I reverted to Enabled status. Sample screenshot of the same for reference is here. If it disabled, simply enable it. Then restart VS with SSIS project.
Enabling the SSIS in manage extensions solved this for me.
Extensions ... Manage Extensions
Online ... Visual Studio Marketplace
SQL Server Integration Services Projects
Download
Close Visual Studio and then run the download
When finished, open your existing SSIS project and right-click the project and select "Reload" or "Reload with dependancies"
You can also now start a new Integration Services project.

Web Developer Tools option must be installed

I have been working with Visual Studio Ultimate 2013. Today when I tried to open a solution, it tried to convert the solution and showed me error like
"The Web Developer Tools option must be installed prior to opening or creating Web projects. You can install this option by repairing your Microsoft Visual Studio installation and ensuring that 'Web Developer Tools' is checked in the list of optional components."
I goggled about this and tried to Modify the Visual Studio 2013 ultimate by enabling the Web Developer Tool. But here I am getting the other error like
Unable to Locate Package Source.
What should I do now?
Go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Select your Visual Studio Version and hit "Change"
Click MODIFY and enable Web Developer Tools
Enable Web Developer Tools
Click Update
Perhaps the installer file for Visual Studio was deleted and is no longer available to modify installations. If you can't locate it, you could just re-install Visual Studio, but that takes awhile.

Unable to open project in Visual Studio 2013 Pro - Marmalade Project

I'm unable to open Marmalade MKB Files in Visual Studio 2013 Pro, while my other class mates can with the exact same version of Visual Studio. I've tried multiple projects but unfortunately I'am unable to open any. I've already tried to reinstall Marmalade.
The error message I get is:
Unsupported This version of Visual Studio is unable to open the
following projects. The project types may not be installed or this
version of Visual Studio may not support them.
Sounds like you may have set the mkb to be opened by visual studio as default instead of Marmalade.
So instead of Marmalade taking the mkb and turning it into a visual studio project and then opening it Visual Studio is just trying to open the .mkb file it doesn't understand.
Try right clicking on the mkb and choosing Open in Hub (or similar) from the context menu. You should be able to then open in IDE from there and have it open your project in visual studio. If you still get the same error then it means the problem is probably something else. If it works you'll have to stop visual studio being the default that will hopefully let marmalade take over again
Good Luck

.csproj file unsupported in Visual Studio 2013

So I'm trying to do what I think is a very simple thing: generate a Windows Phone app with PhoneGap and open it in Visual Studio. On a totally fresh Windows installation (via Bootcamp), I've:
Downloaded Visual Studio Express 2013 for Windows (the very first download button: http://developer.windowsphone.com/en-us/downloadsdk)
Created a PhoneGap Windows Phone app per the Getting Started guide.
However, every time I try to open the csproj file, I keep getting this error:
Unsupported
This version of Visual Studio is unable to open the following projects. The project types may not be installed or this version of Visual Studio may not support them.
For more information on enabling these project types or otherwise migrating your assets, please see the details in the "Migration Report" displayed after clicking OK.
- HelloWorld, "C:\BodBot\BodBot-PG\BodBot\platforms\wp8\HelloWorld.csproj"
No changes required
These projects can be opened in Visual Studio 2013, Visual Studio 2012, and Visual Studio 2010 SP1 without changing them.
- HelloWorld, "C:\BodBot\BodBot-PG\BodBot\platforms\wp8\HelloWorld.sln"
No matter what I do. It works totally fine on Visual Studio 2012 for Windows Phone. I've tried it on VS 2013 for Desktop, and that doesn't work either. No clue what is happening here, and don't know even where to start to figure out what's wrong. I've Googled extensively to no avail; basically all instances of this error seem to have to do with previous version of VS. Pointing in any direction would be very much appreciated.
Turns out Update 2 wasn't getting installed correctly. I ended up installing Visual Studio and the Update 2 separately and Update 2 got installed successfully. Everything works now.
To build Multi device hybrid (Cordova tooling) apps with Visual Studio, you need to have Visual Studio 2013 Update 2 - Professional, Ultimate, or Premium.
