get local ipv4 or device identity of client device in oracle apex

I want to fetch anything unique to a device such as mac address or imei in case of mobile device in oracle apex.
the problem I'm trying to resolve is there are few manufacturing machines that have been assigned with a tablet device.
so whenever the user gets login to a particular tablet than time for according machine should get calculate.
we dont want any input from end user that he is working on XX number of machine.
Anything we can get like ip or mac or imei it would be great.
PS. I'm using oracle cloud apex so database context is no use for me as it returns only public address.

Can data source be changed for OBIEE 12C RPD?

I'm new to OBIEE. I have version 12.2.1.4 installed on a Linux server. I installed the client tools on my Windows PC. Using the Administration tool I created a simple RPD which uses only two tables. For this I had to first create an ODBC DSN to connect to my DB/2 database.
Next, I uploaded the RPD to the OBIEE server using the datamodel cli tool. When I go to the http://hostname:9502/analytics page and select to create a new analysis, it shows me the name of the repository and the two tables. I selected a couple of columns and clicked on the Results tab.
At this point, I get an error message: ODBC error state: IM002 code: 0 message: [DataDirect][ODBC lib] Data source name not found and no default driver specified
I had used the em console to create a JNDI connection to DB/2. But, from the message it seems that it is trying to use the ODBC connection that was used when creating the RPD on my PC.
How do I change the connection that the server is using?
The server needs to be able to reach the data source. EM JNDI connections have nothing to do with it, but rather the server (server OS - not the application) has to reach the source.
You need to update your ODBC settings on the Linux server: https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/DocContentDisplay?id=2570997.1

Facing issue while trying to record a mobile native application using Loadrunner with VPN

I'm facing an issue while trying to record a mobile native application using Loadrunner (Remote application via Loadrunner proxy).
I am using a client provided laptop / mobile devices for testing.
Initially, I was not able to record the mobile app via LR proxy using the client's laptop, but I was able to do the recording using my personal laptop. After raising tickets and having multiple sessions with the helpdesk team, we figured out that we are able to record the mobile app by disabling the VPN on the client laptop, but fail when the VPN is enabled (as the IP address is being changed to the VPN network).
Disabling the VPN is against the client security policy and I don't even have the admin rights to disable it.
As suggested by the helpdesk team, I have tried installing pulse secure and connecting the mobile device to the VPN (so that the mobile and laptop would be under the same client network), but it failed to record.
Network team wouldn't work on the issue as it is not related to network elements (routers, switches and firewalls, etc.), but to the user end-point.
I am not able to do recording with Jmeter or capture traffic using Fiddler as well with the VPN being connected in the laptop. All of the mentioned tools were able to do the recording from my personal laptop.
We are now stuck without any option to proceed further.
Please comment if anyone has faced the issue or has insights on the next steps that I need to approach this.

Creating an android studio project to run queries on a google cloud sql server using jdbc driver

I have an cloud sql instance up and running and have made a link using a jdbc driver to the instance ip using android studio project. I can successfully run queries from an ip address that I insert manually into the google cloud sql settings and not any other network. This makes my app accessible only from certain ip addresses. Is there a way i can authenticate my google cloud sql to all ip addresses. I do not wish to use the google app engine if possible as I believe it will only complicate my application. My app works well enough is there an easy way to access my sql from any network having supplied my username and password in the code itself?
You can use the console to authorize 0.0.0.0, which will allow connections from any IP address. However, this is not necessarily a good solution. If you embed your database's username and password in your Android app, it can be found by someone else taking apart the apk. If they do that, they will then have complete access to your database. It is more complicated, but you should put some kind of server in front of your database, and have the user authenticate with that server/application, and only have that server communicate directly with your database.

Windows Store App, VPN, RAS Api

Our windows store app allows user to manage (create or dial) VPN profiles.
For this functionality we use
RAS Api (create and dial VPN profile)
RAS Api
Wlan Api (listen to wifi networks) - will be changed to classes with Windows.Networking.Connectivity in windows8
Wlan Api
We face following troubles for Windows Store application:
RAS API functions don't work properly under windows store application template (as example RasEnumDevices return error code 5 - Access Denied).
However it works good from desktop application launched on windows 8.
Question: how we could get RAS API to work under window store applications? If that is absolutely impossible - is there any other way to create VPN connection in app developed for Windows Store?
All user's VPN profiles stored by Windows OS in "..\Microsoft\Network\Connections\Pbk\rasphone.pbk", file could be found on file system manually, but we don't have access to this file via API, either we can't access it directrly. Current workarround uses own created PBK file located in users profile folder.
Question: how we could get access to system VPN connections stored in OS.
Thanks.
