How to enable coloring text on Sublime - sublimetext

I downloaded an install Sublime editor. I want to color the text when writing in specific programming languages, so that I can copy/Paste to Word. I followed this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7Gv77BkTlE but nothing worked on me. Does anyone know how do I enable text coloring on Sublime? Otherwise is there any other editor that I can use in order to get colored text so that I can Copy/Paste it to Word?

Pasting from VSCode to word keeps the formatting and colors for me. You do have to make sure you paste with source formatting.

I just found out that there is an option at the bottom right of the Sublime Text to select the programming language. The menu to select other languages opens up when you click on it (C++ on the screenshot). This is on version 4143

Sublime doesn't recognize extension

I've started having this problem recently.
Whatever document I open in sublime, it seems not to recognize it's filetype (php, html, blade, js etc):
I have to manually change the file-type in the bottom right-hand corner every time (here i've changed it php and all worked fine after that):
QUESTION: who can I make sublime detect file type as it did previously?
The answer is very easy. In the same right hand bottom corner, where I was changing the file-type, there is an option at the top "Open all with current extension as...". There you have to choose the filetype and sublime with remember it.
Here is the same question already answered:
How do I set sublime text to auto detect a file type after setting it once?

Keyboard Shortcut Ctrl+B and Ctrl+I in RMarkdown and RStudio

When writing reports in RMarkdown I realized that hitting Ctrl+B for bold or Ctrl+I for italic won't emphasize the text marked. Many other Markdown editors (for example the editor on StackOverflow) do this job.
For the moment I work with Shift+* after marking the text I want to show in bold which returns *text* which would be displayed in italic. However for making something bold I need to do this twice. And returning the action (removing the **) is not possible with this procedure.
Is there a hidden button somewhere in RStudio where I can turn this option on? Or is there some other solution to this problem like a package who does the job?
One way to do it is installing the addin remedy remotes::install_github("ThinkR-open/remedy") and then to map your preferred key combination to the bold formatting offered by the addon.
So, it's a two-step process. First, install remedy, and then modify the keyboard shortcuts (Tools > Modify Keyboard Shortcuts...).
After installing remedy, there should be a 'bold' option for you in the shortcuts' list to make the binding.

Is it possible to visualize tabs and spaces on Cloud9 IDE?

On Sublime Text you can visualize a tab (as a line), and space (as a dot) - as per this StackOverflow forum.
Please is there something similar for the Cloud9 IDE?
e.g.
Many thanks!
In order to view invisible characters within the Cloud9 Editor, please visit the preferences panel (Cloud9 > Preferences), then click on User Settings, and then Code Editor (Ace) within Editors. Enable 'Show Invisible Characters' and you should be all set.

AppleScript prettify for Sublime Text

I am looking for a way to prettify my AppleScripts when working in Sublime Text.
When working in the Script Editor, compiling the script (Cmd + K) also takes care of setting the correct indentation for the script.
Does anyone know a way to do this in Sublime Text as well?
According to Sublime's documentation, you can set your indents any way you like, and specify them according to whichever syntax you desire. Post back if you have difficulties managing your settings.

How to prevent Firefox from copying numbers or #'s when copy and pasting on a Mac?

When I copy and paste from a website that formats their text using <*li>, I get numbers or #'s when I paste into any text editor on my Mac (running Snow Leopard). Is there anything I can get that is equivalent to Windows Notepad, that will NOT copy the formatting, and just give me the text? Example of a site that I copy/paste from that gives me #'s or numbers:

Use Paste As Plain Text in Word or Open Office or use a pure text editor like SciTE.
Most Cocoa applications that have a text editing interface have a Paste and Match Style option in the Edit menu. This will paste the text without pasting formatting.
