I am new to GeoServer, I wanna access my MSSQL server Database in GeoServer so that I would be able to share my Spatial Data directly from SQL Server. But Whenever I try to create the DataStore in GeoServer
It generates an error
Here are the parameters I am giving to create the datastore and error is also listed in picture 1.

the port number in 3 is same as I found in 4
Kindly let me know whats wrong with this procedure...
Anxiously waiting for good response from your side
I solved the above mystery by changing the 'hostname' as 'localhost' instead of my current SQL Instance 'SQLEXPRESS'.

I'm trying to create a link between my local database and my oracle 11g school database. I've finished the link creating between two databases and I tried to run a simple statement from my local database and to see if I can access the data from the remote database. However, there was an error message keep showing on the output section.
I've tried to google the error, but none of the solutions helps.
Can anyone help me with this issue?
I launched my database in EC2 and my web-service is running locally.
The cloud-watch shows a successful database connection. But the table content information is not able to retrieve properly and it doesn't show any error message.
How can I fix this?
Try to connect database from local machine with native database tool and run the sql to check if you can see the content of the table in sql prompt or how fast the data can fetch.

I have successfully installed Oracle REST Database Services version 3.0.4.60.12.48. I am able to access Oracle Apex but when I create a web-service and click on test button I get this error.
Error during evaluation of resource template: GET hr/employees/,
SQL Error Code: 28000,
SQL Error Message: ORA-28000: the account is locked
I have tried connecting to Oracle_apex_public user and every other user to check if any account is locked but I am able to connect to these account with SQLDeveloper.
I have also tried reinstalling and changing default tablespace inside ORDS configuration files, but still it's not working.
If anyone has an idea what is going wrong, please help.
Thank you for the response.
I manage to solve the issue, the cause was i was using same Passwords for all apex public and sys changing th
I'm trying to load data from Oracle table to Cassandra table by using Pentaho Data Integration 5.1(Community Edition). But I'm not getting whether connection has been established between oracle and cassandra. I'm using Cassandra 2.2.3 and Oracle 11gR2.
I've added following jars in lib folder of data-integration
--cassandra-thrift-1.0.0
--apache-cassandra-cql-1.0.0
--libthrift-0.6.jar
--guava-r08.jar
--cassandra_driver.jar
Please anyone can help me to figure out how to check whether connection has been established in Pentaho.
There are some ways to debug if a connection is established to a database, I don't know if all of them are valid for cassandra, but I'll add a especial one for that.
1) The test button
By simply clicking the test button on the connection edit screen.
2) Logs with high details may help
Another way to test is running you transformation with a high detail log:
sh pan.sh -file=my_cassandra_transformation.ktr -level=Rowlevel
3) The input preview
For cassandra, in especific, I would try just to create a simple read operation using Cassandra Input step and clicking in the 'preview' button.
4) The controlled output test
Or maybe you can try with a simplier transformation first, to make sure it's running fine. Eg.
I have a spreadsheet located on a centrally hosted server. Each day, a view on my Oracle database exports a report to this excel. To access the document, various users across a number of locations can login and review the doc. However, for no obvious reason, a number of locations have started being requested for the server name. Most of the locations have the 3 fields filled in by default, but in the problem locations they have to enter the server name each time.
Does anyone have an idea how I can solve this? No configuration changes have been made recently, and I am fairly new to the system as a whole, and cannot come up with an explanation.
See attached screenshot for what I mean.
Thanks!

I browsed to Admin Tools > Data Sources (ODBC) and created a File DSN. From here I was able to specify the following:
[ODBC]
DRIVER=Microsoft ODBC for Oracle
UID=xxxxxxxxx
PWD=***************
server=xxxx.xxx.xx
This meant creating new database queries inside excel, I could point to this as reference and connect externally. But more importantly for my issue, remote users could now access a server based excel, without being prompted for the server-name. I still don't know how they lost this functionality in the first place, but this solved my issue. :)
Turns out this doesn't work - I was opening a different version of the file. Still no sure how the connection box with excel is populated from!
