Cannot unlock Metamask - metamask

I cannot unlock my Metamask. When trying to unlock, I get this message "network request failed. What should I do? I tried the other suggestion that I found online like switching to another network but have not had success.

Why am I stuck on a sign-in page while setting up a Proxy on FireTV 4K

I've got a problem proxying traffic on Amazon FireTV 4k Stick, I'm using the following command to push the cert.
adb push charles-ssl-proxying-certificate.pem /storage/emulated/0/Download
Then I use this to install the cert.
adb shell am start -a "android.intent.action.VIEW" -d "file:///storage/emulated/0/Download/charles-ssl-proxying-certificate.pem" -t "application/x-x509-ca-cert"
all good it presents the sign-in page to re-authenticate the user, I enter my credentials nothing happens? I'm on this screen for ever until screen saver or something kicks in and I'm back to home screen. My networking is working, I'm able to play videos on prime. I'm able to download apps. But somehow Amazon doesn't allow myself to authenticate. I even disbaled 2fa. I've reset to factory defaults many times.
what am I missing? please can you help?
Apparently there appears to be a bug in FireOS6, that does not allow clicks on the sign-in button. As a workaround use scrcpy on the same network.
With your remote control, select the password field and then use adb to run the command:
adb shell input keyevent 66
Answer based on hitting the same issue and overcome it using the instructions provided in this link:

Install Cypress via "npm" works but not login via GUI

At my company we had some proxy settings which restricted the installation of cypress via CMD->npm.
After some discussions with the network guys we added *.cypress.io and registry.npmjs.org to the proxy settings and after that "npm install cypress" worked perfectly. The message "Finished Installation" is shown and I could also open the Cypress GUI by typing "node_modules.bin\cypress open" in CMD.
But when the GUI was opened I tried to click on the LogIn button I get "Cannot connect to API server"
"We tried but failed to connect to the API server at https://api.cypress.io/"
Any idea why I cannot connect to the api server when I just did the whole installation without any problems?
I'm not sure why you're getting this error - my best guess is that the request for api.cypress.io is also hitting another server that isn't allowed through your firewall. Most likely this is Github, as the only option for logging in is by connecting your Github account.
That said, unless you're using the dashboard service, you don't actually need to log in to run tests. If the Log In button works properly, you'll get a message that looks like this:
Logging in gives you access to the Cypress Dashboard Service. You can set up projects to be recorded and see test data from your project.
This message is accompanied by a button prompting you to log in via Github.

Can't use bitbucket any more. Your connection is not secure

I've been using Bitbucket for 2 years on my Macbook. Today I went to view one of my depots but I am getting the error message, Your connection is not secure. All other sites works, it's only Bitbucket.org that is giving me this error. I've tried using Safari and Firefox, neither work. I also can not connect using SourceTree. I am able to connect on my Windows computer so that rules out my router. I've deleted all expired certificates in Keychain and deleted cookies and cache. Does anyone know what the issue might be?
The Macbook's clock is set automatically and is displaying the correct time. In Firefox, when the website fails to load, I can see these 3 messages by clicking the Advance button,
bitbucket.org uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is only valid for search.dnsadvantage.com
Error code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN.
If I click on the last error, it opens another page which displays, https://bitbucket.org/ Unable to communicate securely with peer: requested domain name does not match the server's certificate. HTTP Strict Transport Security: true HTTP Public Key Pinning: false.
Is there somewhere else I need to go to locate more information about the error?
Looks like you've picked up a virus and/or malware:
http://www.fixingvirus.com/always-redirected-to-search-dnsadvantage-com-how-to-stop-it/
That link is for Windows machines so maybe check this for Macbook?:
https://www.fixyourbrowser.com/how-to/remove-adware-mac-osx-safari-chrome-firefox/
Note I don't vouch for above links but first ones that came up when I Googled for "search.dnsadvantage.com". Seems a common problem.

FTP is not allowed for this user account Error 530

Hi this may sound silly but honestly it should be a simple fix but can't figure out why this isn't working.
I have just setup an FTP account on Serv-U application and on testing, I am getting the following error:
**530 ftp is not allowed for this user account**
No logs anywhere, reset account password - same issue, my IP is allowed still same issue. Anyone come across this before?
OK silly me :), I managed to fix the problem. Basically if you using Serv-U as your FTP/FTPS/SFTP 3rd party application, then you run into this issue in future, go through the following steps to fix the problem:
- Open the properties of the affected account
- Click on Limits & Settings tab
- Locate the section 'Allow FTP and FTPS connections' and ensure the value is set to 'Yes'
There you are, issue fixed. Sorry for taking your time, i should have known this.

Browsing UNC Paths with a Mobile Emulator/Device

What would cause an emulator unable to view the network UNC shares? When attempting to open any computer on the network via 'Open Path' or Internet Explorer, I am tossed "The network path was not found." followed by "Network resource cannot be found or you do not have permission to access the network." Things to note:
Connecting to the IP address does not work.
I am able to browse the internet via the emulator.
ActiveSync has been configured appropriately and I have installed the needed drivers for the adapter, and the emulator is cradled.
Firewall disabled/setup with correct forwardings.
Network folder permissions are setup properly.
What strikes me as odd is I have also attempted to browse UNC shares on a physical Windows Mobile 5 device, with the same issue. This leads me to believe something within our network settings is causing this but I'm not sure where to start. People have recommended checking ActiveDirectory security policies, but what policies affect UNC shares? This has turned into a rather serious issue because until I am able to resolve this, I am unable to go through with setting up merge replication. Has anyone experienced this and successfully resolved this issue?
Your network is looking for authentication.
I get that here at my work place, too.
As long as your network key is entered correctly, you should be able to try browsing to that same path 2 or 3 more times, still getting those same obnoxious ("The network path was not found." followed by "Network resource cannot be found or you do not have permission to access the network.") messages.
At one of those times, a login box should appear where you type in a Username, Password, and Domain.
You will also have the ability at this point to save your password so you are not prompted for it every time you attempt to access something across your network.
Now here's the real crapper: After you save your Username/Password combination, there does not appear to be any mechanism within the Windows Mobile device to change that password after it expires on your network. You will never be prompted again to change that password, either. You will only get one of those silly messages above because your password is incorrect.
The only solution to this seems to be to reset the device. I have had a question open with Microsoft for about 3 years now, and it has been passed from one forum to another. I've finally just decided that it must not be able to be done, but Microsoft has never written back to tell me that.
