Laravel Dusk - Check box not clicking - laravel

I'm developing a few browser tests using Laravel Dusk for my VueJs/Laravel Application.
I'm trying to "check" a checkbox but I'm having issues. I managed to wait for its parent element to be visible, but when I check the checkbox and assert value to see if it's true, I get an error.
My test file
$this->browse(function ($browser) {
$browser->visit(route('login'))
->assertPathIs('/login')
->type('email', $this->user->email)
->type('password', 'password')
->press(trans('auth.login'))
->assertPathIs('/dashboard')
->visit(route('settings.edit', $this->customer->uuid))
->assertPathIs('/settings/edit/'.$this->customer->uuid)
->whenAvailable('#switch-input-tfa', function() use ($browser) {
$browser->check('switch-input')
->pause(2000)
//This fails
->assertInputValue('switch-input', true);
}, 4)
->press(trans('nav-side.logout'))
->assertPathIs('/login');
});
Vue JS File
<div class="flex">
<h3 class="flex-grow text-lg leading-6 font-medium text-gray-900 mb-2">
{{ __('settings.2fa_global') }}
</h3>
<switch-input
dusk="switch-input-tfa"
v-model="form.tfa_enabled"
#change="settingChanged($event,'tfa_enabled')"
show-icons
:inactive-value="false"
:active-value="true"
inactive-icon="times"
active-icon="check"
:show-on-right="false"
/>
</div>
Switch-input component
<div>
<input name="switch-input"
class="w-full h-full absolute inset-0 opacity-0"
type="checkbox"
#change="handleChange"
ref="input"
v-bind="$attrs"
:class="[$attrs.disabled ? '' : 'cursor-pointer']"
>
</div>
The error message
Expected value [1] for the [switch-input] input does not equal the actual value [on].
Failed asserting that 'on' matches expected true.
I also tried with the "uncheck" function ,but I still get the same error that actual value is ON

Alpinejs property bound to x-show not defined

I'm building a form in Laravel's Blade syntax, and using AlpineJs for some interactivity stuff like showing and hiding content.
My code is here:
<div class="flex items-center" x-data="destinationBuilder">
<x-label required="true" class="mr-5">Destination:</x-label>
<x-basic-input #change="handleDestinationChange" ::value="destination" placeholder="https://google.com"/>
<x-buttons.primary class="ml-5" #check="validateDestination">Check</x-buttons.primary>
</div>
<div class="mt-4">
<button type="button"
class="p-5 w-full text-sm grid grid-cols-[min-content_min-content_auto_min-content] items-center gap-x-3 font-light text-gray-400 hover:bg-gray-300 rounded-full"
#click.camel="toggleAdvancedOptions">
<i class="lni lni-cog"></i>
<span class="whitespace-nowrap">Advanced options</span>
<div class="h-px w-full bg-gray-400"></div>
<i class="lni lni-chevron-down"></i>
</button>
<div x-show="advanced" x-transition x-cloak>
{{-- <x-links.get-parameter-form/>--}}
</div>
</div>
#push('footer-scripts')
<script>
document.addEventListener('alpine:init', () => {
Alpine.data('destinationBuilder', () => ({
destination: '',
advanced: false,
handleDestinationChange() {
if (this.validateDestination()) {
// emit constructed destination up
}
},
validateDestination() {
// check url is in a legit form (with https)
// basic is just url input
// advanced dropdown with get parameters, fragment, http protocol and port
},
toggleAdvancedOptions() {
this.advanced = !this.advanced;
}
}));
})
</script>
#endpush
I'm using a property named advanced to bind to x-show for another component.
When I look in my browser I get the following message: app.js:434 Uncaught ReferenceError: advanced is not defined
I'm not sure if this is due to a weird collision with blade or if I'm missing something fundamental with Alpinejs. I tried renaming the variable to showAdvanced but that didn't work either. I would expect advanced to be recognised as a property and bind to x-show as expected. What am I doing wrong here?
You have the following HTML structure:
<div x-data="destinationBuilder">
...
</div>
<div>
<div x-show="advanced">
...
</div>
</div>
As you see, the second div is not a child element of the first one where the x-data is defined, so it's outside of the scope of destinationBuilder component. Just create a common div (or similar) element that embeds both divs and apply the component x-data there, so each div will have access to the component's scope.

Error while making a multiselect using vue-select

I am using vue-select in my project along with tabulator. I was able to fetch data from json file and view it. But when selecting the options i get an error saying " Component emitted event "option:selecting" but it is neither declared in the emits option nor as an "onOption:selecting" prop. ". I could not resolve this error after multiple try. Below is the code.
**<template>
<form>
<div class="container h-25 w-10/12 mx-auto pb-3 border 2 border-gray-300 flex flex-col rounded-md items-left bg-gray-100" >
<label class="px-3 py-1 w-10/12 text-xs text-black font-medium">Employee</label>
<div class="px-2">
<v-select v-model="Selected" multiple :options="options" label="Employee" placeholder="---SELECT---" class="style-chooser"></v-select>
</div>
<!-- <span>Selected: {{ Employee_Id }}</span> -->
</div>
</form>
<!-- <ul><li v-for="item in datas" :key="item.Employee">{{ item.Employee }}</li></ul> -->
</template>
<script>
import dataset from './dataset.json'
export default {
data(){
return {
openCard: false,
Selected: ""
}
},
computed: {
options: () => dataset
},
methods:{
open(){
this.openCard = ! this.openCard
},
},
}
</script>**
Your help is highly appreciated la.

Console Errors: [Vue warn]: Property or method is not defined on the instance but referenced during render

Firstly I'm Laravel Spark and have successfully integrated into the mix installation so my js is being deployed into app.js already
I am getting errors when I setup a new component for a project;
blade file
#extends('spark::layouts.app')
#section('content')
<div class="container">
<!-- Application Dashboard -->
<div class="row">
<div class="col-md-8 col-md-offset-2">
<div class="panel panel-default">
<div class="panel-heading">Sprints</div>
<div class="panel-body">
<os-sprints></os-sprints>
<input type="text" v-model="newSprint">
<button #click="addSprint">add</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<template id="my-sprints">
<ul class="list-group">
<li class="list-group-item" v-for="sprint in sprintlist">
<a :href="'/sprints/' + sprint.id">#{{ sprint.title }} #{{ sprint.id }} </a>
</li>
</ul>
</template>
#endsection
and my js
Vue.component('os-sprints', {
template: '#my-sprints',
data() {
return {
sprintlist: [],
newSprint: ''
};
},
created() {
this.getSprints();
},
methods: {
getSprints() {
axios.get ('/api/team/sprints')
.then(response => {
this.sprintlist = response.data;
});
},
addSprint() {
alert("hit");
// this.sprintlist.push(this.newSprintname);
// this.newSprintname = '';
},
}
});
The errors I'm getting in console;
app.js:42229 [Vue warn]: Property or method "newSprint" is not defined on the instance but referenced during render. Make sure to declare reactive data properties in the data option.
(found in <Root>)
warn # app.js:42229

I'm getting a sprintlist data fine but even without the text field and button I'm getting errors and my button method never hits.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated
Chris!
This type of warning is usually caused by a variable not being defined yet. (I know, not very helpful). What I mean:
You passing a variable from one component A to another component B
While a variable is still being passed (have not reached the desired component B), component B is already being mounted
since a component B is already mounted, it is trying to use a variable that hasn't reached yet (ta da -> a warning)
Then a variable reached, Vuejs reacted and updated the view accordingly
This warning can be avoided by adding a v-if to an element or a wrapper
That's because you reference your data object properties and methods of a child component in parent component.
Move
<input type="text" v-model="newSprint">
<button #click="addSprint">add</button>
into your child component's template and you should be fine.
Ok I worked it out, I had tried to do what MatWaligora had suggested previously but the issue was I didn't realise I needed a single "parent" within the template. After I changed it to the below I got the functionality working. I'm still getting Vue warning messages as above but the page works.
<template id="my-sprints">
<div>
<ul class="list-group">
<li class="list-group-item" v-for="sprint in sprintlist">
<a :href="'/sprints/' + sprint.id">#{{ sprint.title }} #{{ sprint.id }} </a>
</li>
</ul>
<input type="text" id="sprinttext" v-model="newSprint">
<button #click="addSprint">add</button>
</div>
</template>
For me it was an extra closing tag in the loop.
<div v-for="(item, index) in items" :key="index">
<a :href="item.url">{{ item.name }} </a>
</div> // <- the issue
</div>
Double check all tags if other answers didn't help you.

Getting TokenMismatchException in VerifyCsrfToken.php line 53 in Laravel 5.1 while using csrf token

I am getting TokenMismatchException in VerifyCsrfToken.php line 53:
I am using {!!Form::open()!!}
{!!Form::close!!}. When I click the add Button in my form with empty field for the first time, it shows me error as I set the validation rule. But when I click the Add button again without refreshing the page, it shows me the TokenMismatchException error. I have checked with dd() and it shows me the token like this:
array:3 [▼
"_token" => "5dXwRHbz4GNY1tx9OVeWPcOkirVIm0YtpkZufFbr"
"menu_name" => ""
"menu_price" => ""
Here is my form code:
{!! Form::open(array('route' =>'upcoming.store', 'method'=>'POST')) !!}
<div class="col-lg-6 col-sm-offset-3 top-spacing">
<input type="text" name="menu_name" placeholder="Menu Name.." class="form-control">
</div>
<div class="col-lg-6 col-sm-offset-3 top-spacing">
<input type="text" name="menu_price" placeholder="Menu Price.." class="form-control">
</div>
<div class="col-sm-2 col-sm-offset-8 top-spacing">
<button class="btn btn-success">
Add +
</button>
</div>
</div>
{!! Form::close() !!}
Here is my controller store function:
public function store(Request $request)
{
dd($request->all());
$this->validate($request, array(
'menu_name'=>'required',
'menu_price'=>'required',
));
$upcoming = new Upcomingfood;
$upcoming->menu_name=$request->menu_name;
$upcoming->menu_price=$request->menu_price;
$upcoming->save();
Session::flash('success','Food Menu Added Successfullly');
return redirect()->back();
}
Can anyone help?
I have solved this problem by going to
`VerifyCsrfToken.php`
and then I have changed
throw new TokenMismatchException;
by
else{
return redirect()->back();
}
But I am not sure am I right or wrong to apply this way. will it bring any problem in my future work in this project. anyone please make me sure. please.
Try add {{ csrf_field() }} inside the form.
I really recommend that you read official documentation https://laravel.com/docs/5.4/csrf

angularUI select dropdown displays data only after entering a character

I am using AngularJS v1.2.15 and angular-ui / ui-select. My select HTML is:
<div class="form-group col-md-3">
<div class="input-group select2-bootstrap-append">
<ui-select ng-model="modelOwner.selected" theme="select2" class="form-control">
<match placeholder="Select Owner">{{$select.selected.name}}</match>
<choices repeat="item in owner | filter: $select.search">
<span ng-bind-html="item.name | highlight: $select.search"></span>
</choices>
</ui-select>
<span class="input-group-btn">
<button ng-click="modelOwner.selected = undefined" class="btn btn-danger">
<span class="glyphicon glyphicon-trash"></span>
</button>
</span>
</div>
</div>
My call in controller is:
$scope.modelOwner = {};
OwnersFactory.query({}, function (data) {
$scope.owner = data;
});
My service code:
bootstrapApp.factory('OwnersFactory', function ($http,$state,serviceUrl,$resource,$log) {
return $resource(serviceUrl + 'owner/:id', {}, {
show: { method: 'GET', params: {}, isArray: false }
})
});
Now, in my form i can view the values only after entering at least a single character. I want this select dropdown to display values just by clicking on the dropdown (not by entering any character.)
Possible Solution: if i could load my state only after all the AJAX calls have been made.
Please help me out here.
if you are using ui-router you can use resolve on each state, so that the call is resolved before initializing the controller
https://github.com/angular-ui/ui-router/wiki#resolve
