Hi I'm new to postman and I have this problem connecting to local host.
I made a POST request to localhost:3000 and it keeps showing error: connect econnrefuse 127.0.0.1:3000.
I have tried to check and uncheck the Use the system proxy and also add a custom proxy.
It still doesn't work.
Could someone please help me? Thanks

I'm following the steps in go quickstart gmail api.
On the function getTokenFromWeb, pasting either the long url
https://accounts.google.com/o/oauth2/auth?access_type=offline&client_id=abcdefg.apps.googleusercontent.com&redirect_uri=http%3A%2F%2Flocalhost&response_type=code&scope=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.googleapis.com%2Fauth%2Fgmail.readonly&state=state-token
or
http://localhost:8000
results in
This site can't be reached. localhost refused to connect. ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED
Following the same quickstart but for python works flawlessly.
If I get the token via python and use it in Go quickstart, it also works. So the issue is just on the token from web retrieval.
The issue you are having is related to the removal of oob. When that sample was originally created oob still worked. So it would display a nice web page for you where you could copy the authorization code.
That no longer works so we are forced to use http://127.0.0.1 or localhost. As your machine apparently does not have a web server running its displaying to you a 404 error.
However if you look in the URL bar you will find the authorization code you need in order to authorize your application.
The solution is to simply copy the code from the url bar. If you want to fix the 404 your going to have to figure out how to start a web server in order to host the http://127.0.0.1 from.
The python sample does this by running a local server
creds = flow.run_local_server(port=0)
Php can do it using something like this
php -S localhost:8000 -t examples/
Im not sure how that can be done with Go though.
I tried using postman to test my springboot project. When I sent the request, postman made a 503 error, but when I sent the request in the browser, it successfully got a response.
How to solve this problem?
I had the same issue I resolved it like this :
Postman settings
go to the top right of your postman window Settings > proxy > use the system proxy
for my case I added another proxy so I had to desable it when making a local api call. good luck !
503 Service Unavailable clearly states the server is overloaded, you may be running out of memory. Try again or try to restart the server. The post method will say bad request only. So you should try restarting the server if it is yours, or retry after sometime if it is a 3rd party service.
And also can you check and make sure your postman proxy is turned off. Even that causes problems like these sometimes. Check that in proxy tab.
while during load testing for one site through j meter getting below
error:Response code: Non HTTP response code:
org.apache.http.conn.ConnectTimeoutException Response message: Non
HTTP response message: Connect to 172.17.4.213:80 timed out
You most probably didn't configure the proxy for JMeter as per:
http://jmeter.apache.org/usermanual/get-started.html#proxy_server
Look at your browser (where request works) proxy configuration for the settings.
I think you should check your URL/ip address is pointing to your code properly by some online ping tool. And If it is working, check if your network is not blocking site access.
Anyone encountered this error? kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork error 311?
I wrote a simple cordova application running in iPad (iOS 9 up). This applications calls an HTTPS api but throws this error kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork error 311.
Pleas note that the HTTPS Server has a valid CA Issued SSL Certificate.
I googled a lot on this error but without any luck and only managed to found this cfStreamErrorHTTPSProxyFailureUnexpectedResponseToCONNECTMethod that has an int value of 311 and it says that
The HTTPS proxy returned an unexpected status code, such as a 3xx
redirect
Indeed the resource that i am invoking is returning a 302 which unfortunately i have no control of.
And to access the https server, i have to specifically connect to a wifi proxy where the IP address is whitelisted in the https server.
I hope someone from this great community could provide me some light on this error.
Thank you.
I also have received the same error. The problem is that you are accessing network through a proxy which needs to be authenticated before you send a request.
In your case, generally if you are accessing internet in the system browser, you might have proxy settings(along with authentication) in your browser or system preferences -> network -> Advanced -> Proxies.
In order to address the authentication issues while URL requests, Apple has given documentation in this regard - https://developer.apple.com/library/content/documentation/Cocoa/Conceptual/URLLoadingSystem/Articles/AuthenticationChallenges.html.
For a simple model implementation just refer to Simple example of NSURLSession with authentication
Hi i am using MSXML2.ServerXMLHTTP40 to get and post request to a url. When i post to http site it works fine but when i post to https site it throws me an error stating the operation timed out.I am not able to get the response.Kindly help me out. Thanks in advance
I Found the solution I have to set the ..setproxy and setproxycredentials along and also i need to get the session id .When i used all the three it worked fine.
By default HTTP will use port 80 but HTTPS uses port 443. Is it possible that you've got a firewall blocking port 443?
I'd suggest trying to connect to both sites from a webbrowser to make sure it all works.
