Introduction
The project was newly created and there was no change in the project.
The build of the application when running the application in JetBrains Rider IDE was executed.

I was facing the same issue when I changed IDE from VS to Rider. The problem was that I had a project with the same name in VS and it had been previously built, but I could not have found the deployed application. So I looked up for this VS project, built it, and then I deleted the application with the VS solution together. After this, I could run my Rider project with the same name without any errors.

I'm using a TeamCity build server to try and build an Outlook Addin, I can build & test the code using TeamCity, but when it comes to publishing the app to a folder I get the following error.
Obviously the build server is missing some SDK components to complete the package\publish step.
Does anyone know which Windows SDK I need to get installed on the build server?
Nothing to do. None of the projects specified contain packages to restore.
XXXXXXXX.Outlook.csproj(331,3): error MSB4019:
The imported project "C:\Program Files\dotnet\sdk\7.0.102\Microsoft\VisualStudio\v17.0\OfficeTools\Microsoft.VisualStudio.Tools.Office.targets" was not found.
Confirm that the expression in the Import declaration "C:\Program Files\dotnet\sdk\7.0.102\Microsoft\VisualStudio\v17.0\OfficeTools\Microsoft.VisualStudio.Tools.Office.targets" is correct, and that the file exists on disk.
Build FAILED.
I have Visual Studio 2019 .Net Core 3.1 Project which can be deployed to my server fine using Web Deploy on my Windows 10 Machine.
But I cannot do Web Deploy on Mac M1 for the same project.. is Web Deploy only available on Windows OS ?
Error I get when trying to Publish using same Web Deploy profile on Mac M1:

I'm getting this error when running a built project in Visual Studio 2017:
------ Deploy started: Project: myProj, Configuration: Debug Win32 ------

I found something online saying uncheck Deploy from Build, Configuration Manager... but it is already unchecked.
If I try to run it again, it will load and run. But I'd like to be able to release code that works the first time. What else might I try? TIA.
Odds are you have a post build event in your project. When you first build it the post build event fires and attempts the deploy. The second time you go to build the project is already 'up to date' so it is not built and the post build event does not fire.
You can view your post build events by right clicking your project and choosing properties, expanding build events and then expanding post build.
You can also check if anything is defined under custom build steps.
Solved the problem by opening the .sln file of the problematic solution with a text editor. I've found there the following lines for different configurations:
{GUID}.Release|x86.Deploy.0 = Release|Win32
After deleting all these lines for different configurations, I didn't get the error anymore.
This worked for me :
GOTO "Project Property Page"
click "Project Dependencies"
Select your main project in "Project:"
Add the dependency on the project that gives you the deploy error.
Save ALL
Recompile
I'm having trouble deploying my first MVC6 app to Azure from Visual Studio online. I've created a build definition that creates a deployment package and an "Azure app service deploy" task to deploy that package. The deployment task reports this error:
Failed to deploy App Service.
Error: (2/17/2017 9:09:59 AM) An error occurred when the request was processed on the remote computer.
Error: Source (sitemanifest) and destination (contentPath) are not compatible for the given operation.

I can build an deploy the package from within Visual Studio. I have built and deployed a handful of MVC5 apps successfully with the same technique. I've never had a problem, so I'm not sure where to start figuring this out. Any ideas?
Thanks!
I have to automate the way we build and deploy our SSIS projects.
We use VS2013, SQLSERVER2014 and TFS2015. I'm already aware of two solutions:
1) MSBuild: I followed this blog https://speaksql.wordpress.com/2013/06/07/a-journey-to-db-deployment-automaton-ssis-build-using-msbuild/ and it works fine for VS2010 but unfortunately not for VS2013.
The error I'm getting is:
Project "SSISTest\SSISTest\SSIS.MSBuild.proj" on node 1 (SSISBuild target(s)).

2) devenv: works fine but our projects are all protected with a password, and everytime you try to build it prompts the dialog to insert the password.
Is there any other way I can automate this in VS2013?
I'll answer myself. After adding the proper dll references (expecially the Microsoft.SqlServer.ManageDTS one) for VS2013 to the http://sqlsrvintegrationsrv.codeplex.com/SourceControl/latest project, generating the .dll allowing MSBuild to build SSIS project as suggested by https://speaksql.wordpress.com/2013/06/07/a-journey-to-db-deployment-automaton-ssis-build-using-msbuild/, worked just fine. I'm now able to automatically build SSIS projects with MSBuild and deploy them to a SQL Server 2014 instance.
