I have created a QML file which is a speedometer. This file includes several .png images which I have provided the path in QML file and it works fine. But is there any possible way to embed these images permanently? As I want to use this QML in a QT C++ UI file using QQuickWidget which only loads the QML file without images.
For getting images we have to add resource file to project.Follow below steps to add images to the
Resource file.
1.Right click on resources in project>>add new>>Qt>>Qt Resource File>>choose
2.Location-name>>next>>finish
3.add prefix>>prefix-/img
4.Add files>>image.png
5.Build. Images will be added to resource.
Images are added to the Resource file

My application has one of these files but it doesn't seem to do anything and when I click on it, then it shows as empty.
That is an Asset Catalog Image Sets
Asset Catalog Image Sets - Use Asset Catalog Image Sets to manage and
group all version of a given image asset required by an app.
You can add images to your iOS solution, using Resources, or creating a Catalog Image Set.
You can read the official Apple Documentation
There is no default file called Styles.xcassets in the iOS project. And I think this is a normal Asset Catalog Image Sets file created by someone.
In an iOS project, the is a default Asset Catalog Image Sets called Assets.xcassets file and manager your image there.
Also, instead of using the Assets.xcassets, you can create more ....xcassets to manager your images. It can be more clear and is easier to distinguish different kinds of images.
For example, if there is a Styles.xcassets, you can put all images of style into this file. You can also create a Home.xcassets there to put all images in the homePage there.
Hope you understand What's a Styles.xcassets file in the iOS project used for now.
Is there any way to use images in the format .png or another format, and then compile these images so that they are not within the folder Resource of this project? I've seen several programs using many of the images as icons but when you open the folder resource the only image I see is the icon of the program.
If items such as standard system icons are used you only need their paths (since they would already be installed), otherwise the image files need to be included in the project.
Is there a way I can customize (replace with another GIF image) the loading image in Siebel Open UI in IP16 version? The current loading image is an red colored, oval shaped, oracle provided one, but i do not find the corresponding image in images folder. Any leads?
The animated icon may be stored in css files.
Try to search in your css files for something like
.siebui-mask-outer
timer
It may not be an actual gif but an css transformation.
(btw. You can run your Chrome Developer tool and examine the source of the icon)
The standard GIF file must be in public/enu folder (for english application) on the web server. On your local installation, it will be in C:\Siebel81\16.0.0.0.0\Client\PUBLIC\IMAGES\
There are multiple gif files there used for different applications.
my question is quite simple.
I have a Qt application with a Gui developed with QML.
My back-end side generates and saves jpg images in a folder called /images .
I am able to send from C++ to QML the strings holding the name of the images that I want to show. Sadly my QML Image object doesn't display anything.
It seems that if an image can be displayed only if it has been previously declared in the qml.qrc file.
Sadly, again, qrc files do not support wildcards yet!
https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-1400
Is there a workaround?
The name of the images are not fixed, they are generated with certain runtime values i.e. timestamp.
Thank you
By default it will search the image source in the qrc file. To make it go to the actual file system, prepend a file:/// to the path.
I have a project which is loading images using:
imgwrc1.Picture = LoadResPicture(115, 0)
Now how do i add my image and give it id 116, 0 in the argument shows that it is a bitmap but there are no bitmaps in the project folder. So from where is the image being loaded.
I want to display this image in dialog
from addin manager got to load the VB Resource editor add in then, add the image to the resource file then acccess it using LoadResPicture function.
