Intellij - upgrade Spring starter version and compile no longer finds #Service - spring-boot

Question

I've been trying to upgrade an existing Spring Boot project in Intellij to use the latest Spring Boot versions.
Ever since I've upgraded the Maven file, in the Intellij IDE and maven compile I get an errors on things that should be working - like the "#Service" which is reported as as unknown annotation, as shown in the screen shot below
The pom file is shown below. Any suggestons?
