getting maven error when trying to build on IntelliJ - spring-boot

I am trying to work with Spring boot and Vue.
This is the tutorial(github repo: https://github.com/danvega/full-stack-java-vue/blob/master/pom.xml)
This is my pom file:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

this is the error I m getting:
When I try to run this command, I get the error above:
mvn clean package
I installed apache maven 3.8.1 and also added in my environment variables.
What am I doing wrong?
EDIT: I also tried first to google the problem and deleting .m2 folder did not help

Disable spotify docker-maven-plugin in parent pom

I am using a parent POM like below
<build>
<pluginManagement>
<plugins>
<plugin>
<groupId>com.spotify</groupId>
<artifactId>docker-maven-plugin</artifactId>
<version>${docker-maven-plugin.version}</version>
</plugin>
</plugins>
</pluginManagement>
<plugins>
<!-- for docker -->
<plugin>
<groupId>com.spotify</groupId>
<artifactId>docker-maven-plugin</artifactId>
<configuration>
...
</configuration>
</plugin>
</plugins>
</build>
I use M1 Mac, and spotify docker-maven-plugin has errors while build dockerfile.
So, child POM uses fabric8 docker-maven-plugin like below.
<project xmlns="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0 http://maven.apache.org/xsd/maven-4.0.0.xsd">
<modelVersion>4.0.0</modelVersion>
<parent>
<groupId>com.groupExample</groupId>
<artifactId>parent</artifactId>
<version>1.0.0-SNAPSHOT</version>
</parent>
<build>
<finalName>${project.artifactId}</finalName>
<plugins>
<!-- Docker maven plugin -->
<plugin>
<groupId>io.fabric8</groupId>
<artifactId>docker-maven-plugin</artifactId>
<version>0.40.3</version>
<configuration>
...
</configuration>
<!-- activation -->
<dependencies>
<dependency>
<groupId>javax.activation</groupId>
<artifactId>activation</artifactId>
<version>1.1.1</version>
</dependency>
</dependencies>
</plugin>
</plugins>
</build>
</project>
But when I use commands like mvn clean install docker:build docker:push, maven uses spotify docker plugin, not fabric8 docker plugin. So, it makes errors and dockerfile failed to build.
I applied solutions in this site also, but it does not work neither. Such as,
<plugin>
<groupId>com.spotify</groupId>
<artifactId>docker-maven-plugin</artifactId>
<executions>
<execution>
<id>default</id>
<phase>none</phase>
</execution>
</executions>
<inherited>false</inherited>
</plugin>
<configuration>
<skip>true</skip>
</configuration>
How can I build dockerfile without changing parent POM at M1 Mac?
<build>
<plugins>
<!-- Docker maven plugin -->
<plugin>
<groupId>io.fabric8</groupId>
<artifactId>docker-maven-plugin</artifactId>
<version>0.40.3</version>
<executions>
<execution>
<phase>package</phase>
<goals>
<goal>build</goal>
<goal>push</goal>
</goals>
</execution>
</executions>
<configuration>
...
</configuration>
<!-- activation -->
<dependencies>
<dependency>
<groupId>javax.activation</groupId>
<artifactId>activation</artifactId>
<version>1.1.1</version>
</dependency>
</dependencies>
</plugin>
Finally, I found the solution to build dockerfile.
It should skip execution by spotify and also execute fabric8 plugin.
<build>
<plugins>
<!-- disable spotify -->
<plugin>
<groupId>com.spotify</groupId>
<artifactId>docker-maven-plugin</artifactId>
<configuration>
<skipDocker>true</skipDocker>
</configuration>
</plugin>
<!-- Docker maven plugin -->
<plugin>
<groupId>io.fabric8</groupId>
<artifactId>docker-maven-plugin</artifactId>
<version>0.40.3</version>
<executions>
<execution>
<phase>package</phase>
<goals>
<goal>build</goal>
<goal>push</goal>
</goals>
</execution>
</executions>
<configuration>
...
</configuration>
<!-- activation -->
<dependencies>
<dependency>
<groupId>javax.activation</groupId>
<artifactId>activation</artifactId>
<version>1.1.1</version>
</dependency>
</dependencies>
</plugin>
</plugins>
</build>

The problem was resolved after a proper rollback and splitting nexus server ids

Can we write simple boot application with using "spring-boot-starter-parent"

I have starting working on Spring-boot. I was trying to check whether "spring-boot-starter-parent" is mandatory to include as a parent in our pom,xml or not.
I tried to use to "Spring-boot-starter-web" as parent pom but it's still giving some error regarding filtering resource which may be due to inability to find out application.properties.
Is it mandatory to have a parent in pom file ?
Thanks
Yes you can, but you need to manage things at your own.
Like
* Turn on filtering by default for application properties,
* Apply more sensible defaults for user projects(test configs.. etc)
* Spring boot plugins etc
Here is parent pom file of 1.5.6

you can see it setup spring-core, application properties and another common required plugins, which is basically required in any spring application,
If you don't want this default stuff then no need to add starter parent. (It totally depends on your application, if you don't required them just leave it, but if you required them you don't want to suffer to your self manage all stuff your own, stater parent pom is best friend for it )
You include spring-boot-starter-parent as parent and spring-boot-starter-web as dependency;
<parent>
<groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-boot-starter-parent</artifactId>
<version>2.0.0.RELEASE</version>
</parent>
<dependencies>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-boot-starter-web</artifactId>
</dependency>
</dependencies>

Not sure how to proceed.
There is an order requirement for the maven-shade-plugin here that isn't specified in the doc - it needs to be first, before the azure-functions-maven-plugin.

Wildfly 10: Failed to execute: javax.ws.rs.NotFoundException: RESTEASY003210

I am trying to use wildfly-swarm with a hello world web project (having a single index.html file) already running on glassfish. Here is my POM.xml:

I am having this exception:
2016-09-01 16:37:10,543 ERROR [org.jboss.resteasy.resteasy_jaxrs.i18n] (default task-1) RESTEASY002010: Failed to execute: javax.ws.rs.NotFoundException: RESTEASY003210: Could not find resource for full path: http://localhost:8080/MongoDBDemo-web/index.html

at org.jboss.resteasy.core.registry.RootClassNode.match(RootClassNode.java:48)
at org.jboss.resteasy.core.ResourceMethodRegistry.getResourceInvoker(ResourceMethodRegistry.java:445)
I am running it using:
mvn wildfly-swarm:run
I don't know why I can't see any output on my browser, not even exception. Could you please tell me why its assuming index.html as a JAX-RS resource instead of a physical HTML file?
index.html is in src\main\webapp folder
By default WildFly Swarm doesn't add a context path to your application.
Have you tried accessing http://localhost:8080/index.html ??
