I am having problems with Desktop Outlook Add in on Windows, it does not work at all and it is blocking my appointment to be created. On the web it works perfectly and I investigated versions that support the onSend feature on this link:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office/dev/add-ins/reference/requirement-sets/outlook-api-requirement-sets
I am using Microsoft 365 subscription with version 2008 (build 13127.21348) which support Requirement sets 1.9 (from my understanding) and therefore it should support the onSend functionality, however it doesn't. Is there anything I need to allow or modify in order to work on Windows Desktop?
Thanks in advance

The on-send feature was officially released in requirement set 1.8, not 1.9. However, the feature's support matrix is a superset of the requirement set's. So, you need to make sure the Exchange server supports this feature as well. From your posting it is not clear which Exchange server version is used. Is it Exchange Online?
Anyway, I'd suggest testing a sample add-in first to make sure the issue is not brought by your manifest or JS code. Read more about the On-Send event in the On-send feature for Outlook add-ins article in MSDN.
The Outlook-Add-in-On-Send sample project is a good way to start. If it doesn't work, I'd suggest using Fiddler to see what is going on under the hood and whether any web calls are made to your web app.

I am working on initiative to create Microsoft Teams Bot (Teams App) for internal use. However, I am lacking information on how to host Teams App/Bot On-Premises. Also, if it is possible, how would it work? Would Client interactions would directly trigger API calls to On-premises services OR would Client interactions send A call to Microsoft Services from which it would trigger On-premises severs? Can I avoid having my On-Prem services publicly exposed and use tools like Microsoft Gateway?
It would be really helpful if Microsoft would provide more videos or material on this framework, as it is really powerful tool.
Also, I hope that this framework will not be replaced with "no code" solution like Power Virtual Agents (those are great, but code based solutions are always better).

Context
I am looking to identify the app package names of trial versions of Microsoft Office applications without having them installed on my machine. These trial versions are downloaded from the Microsoft Store and are listed separately from full version Office 365 applications.
Reiterating Question
Without having the trial versions of the apps installed on my machine, where can I find the app package names for the Microsoft Store, free trial versions of Office 365 applications? (E.g., without using get-appxpackage since they don't exist on my machine)
You cannot find these package names. They are inaccessible.

For Outlook on Mac, on every Outlook startup, my add-in disappears, even though it is visible on OWA. To make the add-ins visible again, i go to managed add-ins in OWA and turn them off and on again. They immediately appear on Outlook, but they disappear again at the next startup.
This issue started a few weeks ago and works fine on windows.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this or why is this happening?
You need to allow Optional Connected Experience in your Privacy Preferences.
Restart Outlook. It should work now.
I am using office 365 for business (I think it's the enterprise edition). We have some add-ins automatically deployed by the admins to all users, and users can choose whether to install some additional ones.
My pain was that I couldn't use Jira for Outlook on mac (add-in worked fine in iPhone, windows client and web).
I needed to do two things to enable the add-ins in outlook for mac. I had to quit any office application, not just outlook for the below to function.
As mentioned in another answer, you need to enable the "optional connected experiences" from Preferences -> Privacy. This will enable the store icon to appear again after you restart outlook, but add-ins were still unusable for me.
After I quit the application, I reset my outlook preferences with the OutlookResetPreferences tool, downloaded from here.
Voila, add-ins reappeared (both admin and user managed).

When I start kibana, I got the following exception:
LicenseExpiredException[license expired for feature [shield]]
I checked the document and only found that:
The first time you start up the node, a 30 days trial license will
automatically be created which will enable Shield to be fully
operational. Within these 30 days, you will be able to replace the
trial license with another one that will be provided to you up on
purchase.
Isn't shield a free software? Where Could I purchase the license? I can't find it in the document.
I contacted ElasticSearch to know how I could get a license for a personal use. I just have a single server, and want a simple security realm (3 users : admin, logstash, kibana).
Well, the good point is that they called me back one hour after the form submission.
But, the bad point is that they have no plan for personal usages, they just have (for now) a single bundle with everything included:
Professional support (ticket, phone)
License for every software (Marvel, Shield, Watcher)
Tons of cool features
Unfortunately, it fits perfectly for professional usage, because plans are about 1600 $/year/cluster.
I told the support that having no plan for developer was a bad thing, but the only thing she said is "sorry".
So I'm heading toward SearchGuard because it is free.
You can request for the subscription using the following link:-

Is it possible to employ Business Contact Manager 2007 without running Outlook in Cached mode?
According to all the reasearch I have done this is a prerequisite, and certainly upon installing and testing it seems to be the case, but keeping local copies of inboxes is simply too large a security hole for us, I find it difficult to believe that this is a requirement!
Thanks in advance for your responses!
The answer on the most basic level here is No.
But the security hole created by storing copies of Mailboxes on workstations can be worked around, it is as simple as moving the local mailbox storage file (.ost file) to a secure server then re wiring outlook to find it in its new location.
Hope this helps someone!
