OpenLiberty features repository-resolver install-map - maven

I am getting below error for both install-map and repository-resolver. Could you please provide any pointers to resolve this.

The install-map and repository-resolver debug messages can be safely ignored and there is no need to include the install-map dependency in pom.xml. Those artifacts are only needed if using an old version of Open Liberty (specifically, 18.0.0.2). The following issue will address removing/improving those messages: https://github.com/OpenLiberty/ci.maven/issues/1142
To use Liberty dev mode with a Spring Boot application, see the steps provided in https://github.com/OpenLiberty/ci.maven/issues/1143#issuecomment-845241015 which will be added to the documentation.

After few research on the net it seams that the CommandLineRunner Class isn't in the jar after the compile process.
But i'm not very comfortable with maven and the process of compiling web app.
So if you can explain me or just give me some link for explanation it would be great, thank you .

This will allow you to create a runnable fat jar with all the dependencies. You will get rid of the issue
It doesn't look like you have the spring-boot-starter dependency anywhere, or it's being transitively ignored by your vaadin dependency. You should explicitly include it (referenced by this example online):
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-boot-starter</artifactId>
</dependency>
Sorry for silly question, do you have a Class, with public static void main in it :) ?
I just made a Project with your pom, and it needed a Class with main Method to run.
It would help, if you would post your Project on github :)

You can specify maven source/target version by adding these properties to your pom.xml file
<properties>
<maven.compiler.source>1.6</maven.compiler.source>
<maven.compiler.target>1.6</maven.compiler.target>
</properties>
I think this means that
You are using JDK9 or later
Your project uses maven-compiler-plugin with an old version which defaults to Java 5.
You have three options to solve this
Downgrade to JDK7 or JDK8 (meh)
Use maven-compiler-plugin version or later, because
NOTE: Since 3.8.0 the default value has changed from 1.5 to 1.6
See https://maven.apache.org/plugins/maven-compiler-plugin/compile-mojo.html#target
<plugin>
<groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
<artifactId>maven-compiler-plugin</artifactId>
<version>3.8.0</version>
</plugin>
Indicate to the maven-compiler-plugin to use source level 6 and target 6 (or later).
Best practice recommended by https://maven.apache.org/plugins/maven-compiler-plugin/
Also note that at present the default source setting is 1.6 and the default target setting is 1.6, independently of the JDK you run Maven with.
You are highly encouraged to change these defaults by setting source and target as described in Setting the -source and -target of the Java Compiler.
<plugin>
<groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
<artifactId>maven-compiler-plugin</artifactId>
<configuration>
<source>1.6</source>
<target>1.6</target>
</configuration>
</plugin>
or use
<properties>
<maven.compiler.source>1.6</maven.compiler.source>
<maven.compiler.target>1.6</maven.compiler.target>
</properties>
This error might be also for plugin versions. You can fix it in the .POM file like the followings:
<build>
<plugins>
<plugin>
<groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
<artifactId>maven-compiler-plugin</artifactId>
<version>2.3.1</version>
<configuration>
<source>1.6</source>
<target>1.6</target>
</configuration>
</plugin>
</plugins>
</build>
Make sure you have following configuration in your pom.xml file.
<properties>
<maven.compiler.source>1.8</maven.compiler.source>
<maven.compiler.target>1.8</maven.compiler.target>
</properties>
For me the solution was to set the version of the maven compiler plugin to 3.8.0 and specify the release (9 for in your case, 11 in mine)
<plugin>
<artifactId>maven-compiler-plugin</artifactId>
<version>3.8.0</version>
<configuration>
<release>11</release>
</configuration>
</plugin>
This worked for me!!!!
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<project xmlns="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0 http://maven.apache.org/xsd/maven-4.0.0.xsd">

<artifactId>logback-classic</artifactId>

</dependencies>
<build>
<plugins>
<plugin>

<configuration>

</configuration>
</plugin>
</plugins>
</build>
</project>
In IntelliJ:
Open Project Structure (⌘;) > Modules > YOUR MODULE -> Language
level: set 9, in your case.
Repeat for each module.
There can be corrupted jar file for which it may show error as "ZipFile invalid LOC header (bad signature)"
You need to delete all jar files for which it shows the error and add this Dependency
<dependency>
<groupId>javax.servlet</groupId>
<artifactId>servlet-api</artifactId>
<version>3.0-alpha-1</version>
<scope>provided</scope>
</dependency>
I got this error: "Source option 5 is no longer supported. Use 6 or later"
after I changed the pom.xml
<java.version>7</java.version>
to
<java.version>11</java.version>
Later to realise the property was used with a dash insteal of a dot:
<source>${java-version}</source>
<target>${java-version}</target>
(swearings), I replaced the dot with a dash and the error went away:
<java-version>11</javaversion>
You need to set JDK 1.5 to your project and also all dependent project or jar file should also compiled with JDK 1.5

[ERROR] [Help 1] http://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/MAVEN/DependencyResolutionException
The same issue happens when I run it via jenkins.
I have tried doing the following:
Removed the .m2 repository and rebuilt
Freshly build the project after re-exporting in eclipse (though the problem is not with eclipse)
Forced update while build
Performed a maven update on the project
None worked!
I think in your pom artifactId is selenium-api it should be selenium-java.
Refer below:
<!-- https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/org.seleniumhq.selenium/selenium-java -->
<dependency>
<groupId>org.seleniumhq.selenium</groupId>
<artifactId>selenium-java</artifactId>
<version>3.4.0</version>
</dependency>
Here is the Answer to your Question:
The error says it all :
Failed to collect dependencies at org.seleniumhq.selenium:selenium-server:jar:3.4.0 -> org.seleniumhq.selenium:selenium-java:jar:3.4.0 -> org.seleniumhq.selenium:selenium-api:jar:[3.3.1,4.0.0)
As you are using the selenium-server dependency in your pom.xml as follows:
<dependency>
<groupId>org.seleniumhq.selenium</groupId>
<artifactId>selenium-server</artifactId>
<version>3.4.0</version>
</dependency>
The Selenium Documentation here clearly mentions that
The selenium-server artifact has a dependency to the servlet-api-3.1.0 artifact, which you should exclude, if your project will be run inside a web application container.
Adding the servlet-api-3.1.0 artifact will solve your issue.
Let me know if this Answers your Question.

Stackoverflow deploying webapp generated with spring-boot to jboss

I'm building a webapp with Spring-boot and running and testing it perfectly alright. I've also configured it to create a WAR file by following the instructions on their official documentation.
When I run mvn clean package it builds successfully and generates the war file. When I deploy the war file to jboss 6 however, I get this error:
DEPLOYMENTS IN ERROR:
