After I updated my MacBook OS BigSur to Version 11.3 I receive to following error message when I try to start XAMPP (VM):
Error starting „XAMPP“ stack
Details: cannot calculate MAC address: hv_vm_create unknown error -85377023
I tried different XAMPP versions (7.3.27, 7.4.16, 8.0.3) but it´s all the same.
It would be great if somebody had an idea!!!

I have been trying to install VirtualBox on Mac os High Sierra but installation is failing. I tried all the steps provided here Virtualbox not installing on High Sierra but nothing worked for me. Basically, while installing, it is not asking me if I should allow outside app from Oracle or not. After the failed installation, I see that the VirtualBox still got installed but when I start a vm, it errors out and gives all sorts of other errors. Any thoughts?
I am new to Docker. So please pardon if the question appears fundamental.

[Update]
Bug was submitted to Apple bug report, it's status is now closed.
This one bit me during a server upgrade. Moving to El Capitan and Server 5.1.5.
Xcode refused to work telling me I needed to upgrade to the latest versions of Xcode and Server, which I was already using, error message as above.
The only way around it was to run
sudo xcrun xcscontrol --reset
this solved the problem.
HOWEVER!
Make sure you backup before you run it as it will get rid of everything associated with the Xcode server, including any repositories. Check in /Library/Developer/XcodeServer/ for anything you need to save.

When I start MAMP Pro 2.0.3 on Mac OS X Lion I get the following error:
Apache wasn't able to start. Please check log for more information.
When I look at the Console it says:
kernel: nstat_lookup_entry failed: 2
Anyone know what I need to do to fix this?
Thanks,
Dan
I am trying to install Mac OSX on Windows XP using virtualbox and keep getting this message: BSD root: disk1s3, major 14, minor 3. I have assigned an 80gb virtual hard drive and have tried other iso files, but get the same message.
Technically installing MAC OSX on a virtual machine is against the EULA. That being said it's not a trivial operation to get OSX running on a VM. You might want to check out The OSX86 Project
