maven/pom build error due to SSL issue/corp Non-resolvable parent POM - maven

I am facing below :
Project build error: Non-resolvable parent POM for XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX .Failure to transfer org.springframework.boot:spring-boot-starter-parent:pom:2.1.8.RELEASE from https://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2 was cached in the local repository, resolution will not be reattempted until the update interval of central has elapsed or updates are forced. Original error: Could not transfer artifact org.springframework.boot:spring-boot-starter-parent:pom:2.1.8.RELEASE from/to central (https://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2): proxy.example.com and 'parent.relativePath' points at no local POMJava(0)
I am on corp/work network, using visual studio code for a basic Springboot project.
How can I make it work?
What I tried?
used the working pom file for another project,It works as expected. (However this has corp internal repositories)
I also tried importing the ssl certs for this "https://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2", howevever i don't have permissions to do that, since I am using Enterprise machine.
Also I did try many other solutions(tweaking the pom) suggested here, but doesn't seem to work.

Unable to use maven in Eclipse IDE

I am trying to create Maven project in my eclipse IDE after choosing File->new->other->Maven Project-> maven-archetype-quickstart version 1.1 and i am getting this error
Could not resolve archetype org.apache.maven.archtypes:maven-archtype-quickstart1:1 from any of the configured repositories.
I tried many methods but the error still exist. I also uninstalled eclipse and installed couple times and this error is still existing. Can someone help me out in this situation.
Following is my error trace

Assuming it's not a proxy issue, you might want to try a couple of things:
Add the https://repo1.maven.org/maven2/archetype-catalog.xml as a remote catalog. When you are in the archetype step in the New Maven Project window, select Configure...->Add Remote Catalog..., paste the URL, and give it a name.
Delete your local Maven repository which, by default, is in the .m2 directory of your user home directory.
If you are using a proxy, you can configure it in the preferences (General->Network Connections).

I have already checked some questions here -
My project's pom.xml error
My project's pom.xml error
But none of these resolved error.
Could you please help me on this
Basically, Your imports are corrupted most probably due to some internet connectivity issues. So if your ide gives you Invalidate Cache and Restart option you can try that.
Best Way is to execute this command from project terminal command line - mvn clean install -U
Or you can Delete the related artifacts (or the full local repo) from ~.m2\repository by hand.
Go to ~/.m2/repository and delete that net/bytebuddy/byte-buddy folder. Maven is sensitive with such thing when you maybe have trouble downloading the jar, and the consequent run it is cached.
Or you can try to run maven with -U parameter to force update.

Project build error: Non-resolvable parent POM for everything is right from my side

I'am unable resolve this issue. As soon as I imported the existence spring boot project or created by myself using spring initializer or using sts tool, Ia'm getting the error in POM.xml. I donnot why its giving the error. I have seen all the related issues in stackoverflow. Some said proxy should be added in setting.xml, other said internet connection but I have 40 mbps speed internet.
**ERROR : ** Project build error: Non-resolvable parent POM for com.techprimers:transactionality-demo:0.0.1-SNAPSHOT: Failure to transfer org.springframework.boot:spring-boot-starter-parent:pom:1.5.15.RELEASE from http://server:8081/artifactory/libs-release was cached in the local repository, resolution will not be reattempted until the update interval of central has elapsed or updates are forced. Original error: Could not transfer artifact org.springframework.boot:spring-boot-starter-parent:pom:1.5.15.RELEASE from/to central (http://server:8081/artifactory/libs-release): server and 'parent.relativePath' points at no local POM
As from error, it is clear that maven is trying to download jars from http://server:8081/ and it couldn't able to access it
If http://server:8081/ is custom repository, try to check whether your are able to access it.
If you have no idea about http://server:8081/ server. Then check your ~/.m2/settings.xml or /%maven_root%/conf/settings.xml.
Settings.xml has to be configured with accessible repository or try to setup new maven from https://maven.apache.org/download.cgi

How to force Jenkins' Maven to update Maven dependencies after they had been cached with errors

I'm having a problem where I tried to run a Maven job on Jenkins, but during the execution, the firewall was blocking access to the mvn repositories; this caused an error when Maven was updating the dependencies, and it cached those errors.
Now, even after the firewall issue was resolved, the job keeps displaying this error:
[FATAL] Non-resolvable parent POM: Failure to transfer org.springframework.boot:spring-boot-starter-parent:pom:2.0.2.RELEASE from http://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2 was cached in the local repository, resolution will not be reattempted until the update interval of central has elapsed or updates are forced. Original error: Could not transfer artifact org.springframework.boot:spring-boot-starter-parent:pom:2.0.2.RELEASE from/to central (http://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2): repo.maven.apache.org: unknown error and 'parent.relativePath' points at no local POM # line 14, column 10
I do know that if I was using the command line, it would be possible to use mvn clean install -U to force the update, but how would I do that on Jenkins?
As per Jens' suggestion, adding -U to the to the goals/options field solves the issue.

Creating Maven Project in Eclipse Neon2 encountred a issue : Could not resolve archetype

I have the same problem before. I found the solution from this Maven error "Failure to transfer...", hope it can help you.
Anurak Th.
You can resolve this problem removing .m2 folder from C:\Users\{user name}\.m2. Then recreate your maven project and right click on your project > maven > update project.
Initially, maven looks for libraries and dependencies in the local repository. In case, they are not in its local repository it will look for the remote ones. But in this case, it didn't look for the remote repository. So need to update the project for future conditions.
