I want to show "show more" in slack messages.
I use the slack web api to send messages.
If the number of characters is long, I want to use the "show more" button.
What I've found so far is using the text field of secondary message attachments.
But since this is legacy, they tell me to use the block kit, but I don't know how.

Using Block Kit, you aren't able to define where breaks/read more etc should occur. The theory is that you send the content as Blocks, and the Platform decides how best to render it for the device where it's viewed.
Instead of text fields you should send as attachments, then Slack should display a show more if there are too many attachments.

I'm planning to write a slack app, and I need to render messages depending on who read them.
I'm thinking something like: the App should have some options, and user's clients should render the messages depending on the options chosen by the user.
Is there a way to post a persistent message (I mean not an ephemeral message) which is shown only to a user (or a set of users)?
Or
Is it possible to post a message shown differently depending on the user who read it?
I don't need to send private or sensitive data, so if the solution to my problem is a message containing all the content for all the users in the channel, it is perfectly fine. It's just matter of user experience.
I have two constraints:
The user experience for those who don't use the App should not be impacted
I need the messages from the App to be rendered in reply to messages sent by the users, so solutions like "open a new channel" or "send direct messages" are not suitable for my needs.

This is not possible unless you create your own client to show/display the messages.
Custom slack apps usually augment to the existing functionality. How do you expect to override the functionality of Native Slack 'Desktop, Mobile & Web' Client.
I am happy to discuss this further, if you have some approach in mind.
My (editor-like) Windows desktop program can create a new e-mail with the current project attached using MAPISendMail. A customer wants the same functionality for Microsoft Teams.
For the web version, I think I can probably do that with Graph API.
But I can't find anything for the desktop app version. Is there a way to do that?

It would be great if the user could manually specify recipient + body text in Teams (and not in my program).
So you can't actually attach files to messages directly - you basically upload the file to a web location, and then provide a link to the file in the message. As an example, you can upload to the SharePoint document library that exists in the "Files" tab (something like this). Then, in terms of sending the message, you can send to a Team/Channel quite easily using a Webhook. This does not support #mentions the moment though. Another option is to use Graph to send the message.
If you're wanting instead to send a kind of 'private' message to the user, you'd need to look into creating a bot, and sending a 'Proactive' message
In a Slack conversation, is it possible to click on a button to send a message to the Slack channel?
The Slack conversation could be:
The user types a word (or message)
A slackbot shows some text and two buttons
The user clicks on a button to send a TEXT message to the Slack channel
The Slackbot reacts on the 'action' message.
It is not possible to create an REST service for my Slackbot, because the Slackbot is behind a firewall. So, registering commands is not possible.
So sending a message as the result of a button click is needed. The Slackbot can react on that message.
I read that attachments could be a good way to do this, BUT the is 'outmoded'.
I tried to send an secondary attachment, which is outmoded, but that was not possible.
The next approach was adding a webhook. So pushing a button resulted in using the url, but that is of course not possible because I cannot send a POST request via a simple (get) url.
Please give a short example.
This will not work.
Every interactive feature (e.g. buttons) require your app to be able to receive POST requests from Slack through the public Internet. Since you say you can not provide that (e.g. behind a company firewall) you will not be able to use any interactive features.

I have created a bot using Botkit and am working on creating an interactive message. What I want to do is when the user clicks on the button in the interactive message, a new message will be created pulling som info from the original interactive message, BUT WILL NOT BE SENT. I need to continue editing the message before choosing to send it. Does anybody know whether this is possible or not? I have been googling and searching slack's docs and botkit's docs, but haven't been able to find an answer.
If you want to let the user edit a message before sending you can use the Dialog feature from Slack. It will allow you to show an input text field, where the user can make his edits. I am not familiar with Botkit though and can not say if it supports Dialogs.
I am trying to send a rich text message via Twilio. I am able to send regular SMS messages, but I want to include a hyperlink in the body of the text.
I tried the twilio mediaUrl to include an rtf file, but that didn't work. Including html in the body of a message doesn't work as it just sends in plain text.
I'm posting via curl to the twilio endpoints, so i'd prefer not to have to get into PHP or some other language to achieve this. I just want to send raw data to twilio and receive a rich text message back, if it's possible.

Using Twilio you can send MMS messages to numbers in the US and Canada. When you pass a mediaUrl the file needs to be hosted somewhere publicly on the web and it will then be included within the message.
You can pass files of any of the mime types listed here, though when sending RTF the result will depend on how well the receiving device supports RTF files.
If you want to include a link, I'd recommend shortening the URL (using bit.ly or similar) and just sending it as part of the text. Most smart phones will auto link the URL. Built in SMS apps on phones don't support markup of any sort, which is why your attempt with HTML just showed the raw markup.
