Vue & Laravel problem with loading the components - laravel

I have a problem with my simple application using Vue 3, Vue router 4 & Laravel 8, my problem is that the main component is not loading I need to Ctrl + R to be able to see the main component and for the other component using Vue router nothing is loading properly this is my full code after downloading all the packages and run npm install , npm run dev & npm run watch :
app.js
require("./bootstrap");
import { createApp } from "vue";
import Main from "./components/App.vue";
import router from "./router";
const app = createApp({});
app.component("main-app", Main);
app.use(router);
app.mount("#app");
router.js
import { createRouter, createWebHistory, routerKey } from "vue-router";
import Home from "./components/pages/Home.vue";
import About from "./components/pages/About.vue";
import NotFound from "./components/pages/NotFound.vue";
const routes = [
{
path: "/Home",
name: "Home",
component: Home,
},
{
path: "/About",
name: "About",
component: About,
},
{
path: "/:catchAll(.*)",
component: NotFound,
},
];
const router = createRouter({
history: createWebHistory(process.env.BASE_URL),
routes,
});
export default router;
// export default createRouter({
// history: createWebHistory(),
// routes,
// });
welcome.blade.php I named app.blade.php
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="{{ str_replace('_', '-', app()->getLocale()) }}">
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">
<title>Laravel</title>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="{{ mix('css/app.css') }}">
</head>
<body>
<div id="app">
<main-app />
</div>
<script src="{{ mix('js/app.js') }}"></script>
</body>
</html>
App.vue
<template>
<h1>Hello from the main app</h1>
<div id="nav">
<router-link to="/Home">Home</router-link> |
<router-link to="/About">About</router-link>
</div>
<router-veiw />
</template>
<script>
export default {};
</script>
About.vue, Home.vue & NotFound.vue
They have the same code so no need to write them again in each file I change x
<template>
<p>Hello from X component</p>
</template>
<script>
export default {};
</script>
and finally web.php
<?php
use Illuminate\Support\Facades\Route;
use App\Http\Controllers\Back\DashboardController;
/*
|--------------------------------------------------------------------------
| Web Routes
|--------------------------------------------------------------------------
|
| Here is where you can register web routes for your application. These
| routes are loaded by the RouteServiceProvider within a group which
| contains the "web" middleware group. Now create something great!
|
*/
// Call main path
Route::get('/', function () {
return view('app');
});

Vue 3 router with Laravel

I am new to Vue JS and I installed vue 3 with laravel and it shows 404 Not Found. I tried a lot but could not find out the issue.
app.blade.php
<div class="min-h-screen bg-gray-100" id="app">
<!-- Page Content -->
<main>
{{ $slot }}
</main>
</div>
app.js
import { createApp } from "vue";
import router from './router'
import CompaniesIndex from './components/companies/CompaniesIndex'
createApp({
components: {
CompaniesIndex
}
}).use(router).mount('#app')
index.js
import { createRouter, createWebHistory } from "vue-router";
import CompaniesIndex from '../components/companies/CompaniesIndex'
const routes = [
{
path: '/welcome',
name: 'companies.index',
component: CompaniesIndex
},
]
export default createRouter({
history: createWebHistory(),
routes
})
ComponiesIndex.vue
<template>
Hello world
</template>
<script>
export default {
}
</script>
web.php
Route::get('/{any}', function () { return view('app'); })->where('any', '. *');
welcome.blade.php
<body class="antialiased">
<h1>Welcome to Laravel Vue 3</h1>
</body>
I'm not sure, but there is maybe an error in your routes/web.php in where statement, because . * regex should match any string and this is .* without whitespace. Please try:
Route::view('/{any}', 'app')->where('any', '.*');
If you are creating SPA your app.blade.php should not contain any markup, it should be blank HTML template with required script with your app:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="{{ str_replace('_', '-', app()->getLocale()) }}">
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">
<meta name="csrf-token" content="{{ csrf_token() }}">
<script src="{{ mix('assets/js/app.js') }}" defer></script>
<link href="{{ mix('assets/css/app.css') }}" rel="stylesheet">
</head>
<body>
<noscript>
<strong>We're sorry but this app doesn't work properly without JavaScript enabled. Please enable it to continue.</strong>
</noscript>
<div id="app"></div>
</body>
</html>
Then you just mount your Vue app to #app div, which seems to be good in your app.js.

My Vue root file/component is not showing up in Laravel

I'm following this simple Crud tutorial for Vue + Laravel and everything in Laravel part seems fine (from creating controllers & models) seems fine but I can't make vue show up in Laravel welcome blade. Here's my code:
app.js file
require('./bootstrap');
window.Vue = require('vue');
import App from './App.vue';
import VueAxios from 'vue-axios';
import VueRouter from 'vue-router';
import axios from 'axios';
import { routes } from './routes';
Vue.use(VueRouter);
Vue.use(VueAxios, axios);
const router = new VueRouter({
mode: 'history',
routes: routes
});
const app = new Vue({
el: '#app',
router: router,
render: h => h(App),
});
App.vue file:
<template>
<div class="container">
<h2>Vue app</h2>
<router-view> </router-view>
</div>
</template>
<script>
export default {}
</script>
and this is the welcome.blade.php
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="{{ str_replace('_', '-', app()->getLocale()) }}">
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">
<title>Laravel</title>
<style>
body {
font-family: 'Nunito', sans-serif;
}
</style>
</head>
<body class="antialiased">
<div id="app"> </div>
<script src="{{ mix('js/app.js') }}" type="text/javascript"></script>
<h2>The welcome blade</h2>
</body>
</html>
edit: answer added below, basically followed another tutorial
Looking at the code after composer require laravel/ui and php artisan ui vue I see small change that may affect the execution of code.
Originally the Laravel setup creates window.Vue = require('vue').default;, but your code has window.Vue = require('vue')
Firstly, try this:
<script src="{{ asset('js/app.js') }}" defer></script>
Secondly, you may need a router view element inside the div with id app. I can't say for sure since I don't know your routes. If the change above doesn't solve the problem, add router view like
<div id="app">
<router-view />
</div>
UPDATE
Another thing to try. Remove these lines
import VueAxios from 'vue-axios';
import axios from 'axios';
Vue.use(VueAxios, axios);
because you have axios on bootstrap.js file.
And make sure there is no error message on the console.
So it must have been something wrong with my installation process because I followed another tutorial and now it's working video

Vue2 / vue-router / Laravel - router-view not showing a Vue Component

I'm running into a problem where my Vue component isn't showing via router-view, there are no Vue warnings or errors in the console.
Here's the git: https://github.com/woottonn/fullstack
Here's my code:
web.php
<?php
Route::any('{any}', function(){
return view('welcome');
})->where('any', '.*');
welcome.blade.php
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="{{ str_replace('_', '-', app()->getLocale()) }}">
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">
<title>Full Stack Blog</title>
</head>
<body class="antialiased">
<div id="app">
<mainapp></mainapp>
</div>
<script src="{{mix('/js/app.js')}}"></script>
</body>
</html>
app.js
require('./bootstrap');
import Vue from 'vue'
import router from './router'
Vue.component('mainapp', require('./components/mainapp.vue').default)
const app = new Vue({
el: '#app',
router
});
router.js
import Vue from 'vue'
import Router from 'vue-router'
Vue.use(Router)
import myFirstVuePage from './components/pages/myFirstVuePage'
const routes = [
{
path: '/my-new-vue-route',
component: myFirstVuePage
}
];
export default new Router({
mode: 'history',
routes
})
mainapp.vue
<template>
<div>
<h1>VUE Componenty</h1>
<router-view></router-view>
</div>
</template>
myFirstVuePage.vue
<template>
<div>
<h1>This is my first page...</h1>
</div>
</template>
Am I missing obvious something here?
--- EDIT: Going directly to the URL (/my-new-vue-route) throws an error, so that's not working either. ---
In routes/web.php, add this:
Route::get('/{vue_capture?}', function () {
return view('welcome');
})->where('vue_capture', '[\/\w\.-]*');
This helps the Laravel to capture URLs generated by Vue and is a solution for routing when history mode is set, as you seem to have.
export default new Router({
mode: 'history',
routes
})

vuejs-laravel js not working after component switching

I have a JS script declared on my laravel view, below the app.js containing all the vuejs components.
In this script I have elements like charts or a script allowing me to change the monthly price to annual.
And when I switch component, the js doesn't load, while when I refresh the page, it works.
There's probably an option I don't know, which would avoid that?
Thank you in advance.

import '../../public/css/custom.css';

And I switch to another component with router link to="my_component"

Components do not render through <router-view /> in Laravel 5.8 with Vuejs

I'm trying to create an SPA using Vuejs and Laravel. I've installed vue-router to accomplish that. The component that has to be rendered inside the
<router-view />
tag is not rendering.
I've tried creating a new project and installing npm and vue-router again.
It still does not work.
Laravel Version : 5.8.18
vue-router : 3.0.6
welcome.blade.php
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">
<title>Laravel</title>
</head>
<body>
<div id = "app">
<router-view></router-view>
</div>
<script src = "js/app.js"></script>
</body>
</html>
app.js(./resources/js/app.js)
import Vue from 'vue'
import VueRouter from 'vue-router'
import routes from './routes'
Vue.use(VueRouter)
const app = new Vue({
el: '#app',
router: new VueRouter(routes)
});
routes.js(./resources/js/routes.js)
import Home from './components/Home'
export default {
mode: 'history',
routes: [
{
path: '/',
component: Home
}
]
}
Home.vue(./resources.components/Home.vue)
<template>
<p>Home</p>
</template>
<script>
export default {}
</script>
web.php
<?php
Route::get('/{any?}', function () {
return view('welcome');
});
Your code works for me. Remember to use
npm run watch
