Get value in some column into one column using query in spreadsheet? - google-sheets-formula

I expect to spit number and dot based on some columns into one column as shown in picture.
I want to use query but I am difficult to find best formula.
The picture with green color below is what I expected to.

If you're only going to have one name per timestamp row, a simple approach would be:
=arrayformula({"Name";if(A2:A<>"",regexextract({D2:D&E2:E&F2:F},"\d\.\ (.*)"),)})

Writing a formula in a cell in Google Sheets that averages the results from a column derived from expected values in multiple columns

I'm an average user of Google sheets and I've tried writing/looking up the formula I'm going for, but I haven't had any luck yet.
I have a spreadsheet that details multiple values that I need to display in a single cell the average of a certain set of values derived from a specific set of those values from multiple columns.
The flow of information would look something along the lines of:
if value in Column D=L
then
if value in Column J<$1.20
then
Find Avg of all Values in Column N
I'd need the formula to narrow it's field of data each time so the final result was the average of all the values in Column N that had a value in column J<$1.20 with a value in Column D=L.
I feel like a dummy over here because I just can't narrow down how I should write this flow and get it to work right without adding multiple extra hidden columns. Can anyone help on this one?
I've tried writing the formula multiple different ways but haven't kept it written down to pass on.

Multiple Search Key in a Matrix

I'm trying to solve this problem since some days now but it seems I have reached a dead end. Maybe someone would be able to help me.
I have two sheets. The first one contains the list of my clients and their delivery number depending of the weekday.
In my second sheet I would like to get the delivery number of the client (red cells) depending of the weekday I select (yellow cells).
I tried VLOOKUP formula, INDEX/MATCH, QUERY but I wasn't able to find a way to get the delivery number depending of the client's name and the weekday. I think the main issue is that in the first sheet the weekday is a column title.
Maybe the solution is simply to build my tables differently...

You can try something like this, assuming A2 and B2 the cells of first name and first day to look:
=INDEX(Sheet1!$1:$1000,MATCH(A2,Sheet1!$A:$A,0),MATCH(B2,Sheet1!$1:$1,0))
Or, if you want this same formula for the full column:
=byrow(A2:A,lambda(each,if(each="","",INDEX(Sheet1!$1:$1000,MATCH(each,Sheet1!$A:$A,0),MATCH(offset(each,0,1),Sheet1!$1:$1,0)))))
Also doable (are perhaps more simply) using a MAP/FILTER; with your 'Caption 1' table in Sheet1!A1:D4 and your 'Caption 2' table at the top-left of Sheet2, the following in Sheet2!C2 gives you the delivery number for a many names/days as you enter in the columns alongside:
=map(A2:A,B2:B,lambda(name,day,ifna(filter(filter(Sheet1!B2:D4,Sheet1!A2:A4=name),Sheet1!B1:D1=day))))
N.B. The IFNA blanks out errors for those rows where a Name/Day pair hasn't been entered yet. Extend the ranges in the filter to suit your real data.
all you need is simple vlookup:
=INDEX(IFNA(VLOOKUP(A9:A11&B9:B11,
SPLIT(FLATTEN(A2:A4&B1:D1&"​​"&B2:D4), "​​"), 2, )))

Power Query - conditional replace/clear entire cell in multiple columns

I'm trying to clear the entire cell if it doesn't contain a given keyword.
I've managed to do this for one column:
Table.ReplaceValue(#"PrevStep",each [#"My Column"], each if Text.PositionOf([#"My Column"],"keyword")>-1 then [#"My Column"] else null,Replacer.ReplaceValue,{"My Column"})
The problem is I need to iterate/repeat that step for a number of columns... the number of columns may vary and column names also may be different every time. I can have all those column names put into a list but I'm not able to use it.
The solution I'm looking for may look like this
for each ColNam in MyColumnsList
Table.ReplaceValue(#"PrevStep",each [#"ColNam"], each if Text.PositionOf([#"ColNam"],"keyword")>-1 then [#"ColNam"] else null,Replacer.ReplaceValue,MyColumnsList)
next
but this is not the VBA code but Power Query M - and of course the problem is with #PrevStep as I would see it like a recursions... again... do not know how to process.
Is the path I follow correct or should it be done some other way

Unpivot your columns to turn all the columns into two columns. Apply your replacement to the single value column then pivot it back into the original format

ArrayFormula column disappears when sorting in a filter view in Google Sheets

I'd like to use ArrayFormula to populate a column in spreadsheet, but when I Sort A->Z in a filter view, the ArrayFormula column vanishes. In some cases, the column includes a #REF! error about the range, and in some cases the column is just blank after the Sort. The following is a simplified version of what I'm trying to do (in my actual application, I'm doing a Vlookup to another sheet):

The column 3 header uses an ArrayFormula to copy from column 1. If you go to the Filter 1 filter view, you'll note that column 3 is blank except for an error. This happens after I try to Sort Z->A on column 2. In my more complicated use-case, involving a Vlookup, after a Sort the column disappears entirely (leaving no #REF! error). Before sorting in both cases, everything is fine.
How do I make ArrayFormula values persist in filter views after sorting?

I'm guessing that, because your references are normal (relative, not anchored/absolute), the range A2:A10 after sorting down turns into something absurd, like A7:A4, depending on actual sorted values.
Also, if you hover with your mouse on the #REF error, what does it tell you?
Anyway, try using absolute references in your formula:
=arrayformula({"Column 3"; A$2:A$10})

Fascinating. It's the first time I see this type of error. Taking it at face value, it seems that it's a limitation of Google Spreadsheets - you cannot use ARRAYFORMULAS spanning multiple rows inside sorted filter views, because, like I sort of guessed, it messes up the ARRAYFORMULA's range (as indicated by the fact that the formula is now in C4 instead of C1).
But that gives you also the solution: do not include the cell with the arrayformula in the filter view. Instead of making your filter view's target range A1:C20, make it A1:B20. Then the arrayformula in C1 will be untouched by the filter and will indeed continue to work.
I have found a solution for my usecase, in your case, it could be:
=arrayformula(if(row(C:C)=1;"Column 3";A:A))
But you'll need to consider the whole columns in your formulas.

Have you tried A2:A?
If you don't put an ending row, means the end of the column.

Qlik sense - Rank() within a specific dimension when you have multiple ones

I am new to Qlik and trying to solve the following issue.
I have a table with two dimensions, one with the entry's unique ID, and one with a category, as in the example below.

My goal is to create a new column with a ranking of 'Score' - my measure - per category:

If I use the expression
Rank(Score)
I get a column of ones, as the command takes the most granular dimension (Unique ID) as the default one. If I use
Rank(TOTAL Score)
It obviously returns a ranking regardless of all the dimensions. By reading the documentation and similar questions asked by other users I reckon that it should be possible to specify which dimension to use for TOTAL, with the following syntax:
Rank(TOTAL <Category> Score)
Yet, the formula returns an error and only null column values. I've tried different syntax, use of brackets but I still cannot grasp what I am doing wrong.
Please note that I cannot create the ranking column when loading the data.
I would immensely appreciate if someone were so kind to help on this!
Try with
=aggr(rank(sum(Score)), Category, UniqueID)
