I created new subdomain on GoDaddy and compressed my project file as zip and uploaded to public_html/subdomain_name and I modified sub-domain document-root to /public_html/subdomain_name/public and when I am trying to reach 'www.my-project.com/subdomain_name' I just see this
Create a .htaccess file inside of your projects root directory and insert these lines into that .htaccess file. (Example path: C:/xampp/htdocs/blog_project_root/.htaccess)
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
<IfModule mod_negotiation.c>
Options -MultiViews
</IfModule>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f
RewriteRule ^ ^$1 [N]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} (\.\w+$) [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ public/$1
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^ server.php
</IfModule>

<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
<IfModule mod_negotiation.c>

</IfModule>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond $1 !^(blog)
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f
RewriteRule ^ ^$1 [N]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} (\.\w+$) [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ public/$1
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond $1 !^(blog)
RewriteRule ^ index.php
</IfModule>
it is not excluding blog directory as I have deployed wordpress in blog folder and want to have wp from that directory seprately i.e. my-domain.com/blog
Any suggestion would be really appriciated.
Thanks.
my website can not access images from the storage folder, I have deployed my Laravel project in godday.
this is my htaccess file
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
<IfModule mod_negotiation.c>
Options -MultiViews
</IfModule>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f
RewriteRule ^ ^$1 [N]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} (\.\w+$) [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ public/$1
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^ server.php
</IfModule>
Run php artisan storage:link and everything should be ok after that.
I have a default laravel 8 project. I can only access my files if i use '/public/' to acess the route,and i do NOT want that. i just want to go 'localhost/ProjectName/Route' and not 'localhost/ProjectName/public/Route'.
I have tried changing .htacess, sending it to root,renaming server.php to index.php and a million other solutions i have found on the web.
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
<IfModule mod_negotiation.c>

RewriteRule ^ %1 [L,R=301]
# Remove public URL from the path
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/public/

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^ index.php [L]
</IfModule>
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^(.*)$ public/$1 [L]
</IfModule>
this is my htacess
Make sure your webs server configuration has the public directory set as the root folder rather than the root folder of the Laravel project.
Replace your .htaccess file with following code. Please note, you don’t need to rename server.php to index.php or anything to remove /public name. Just using following code in your .htaccess file and you are good to go.
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ public/$1 [L]
</IfModule>
Result:
website.com/public/route to website.com/route
If you are trying to run laravel project in sub-folder within the root directory, above code won't work. Instead, use following code in your .htaccess file.
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
<IfModule mod_negotiation.c>
Options -MultiViews
</IfModule>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f
RewriteRule ^ ^$1 [N]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} (\.\w+$) [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ public/$1
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^ server.php
</IfModule>
Result: website.com/sub-project/public/route to website.com/sub-project/route
I want to ask about deploying laravel to apache server, this is the link when it is on local https://intranet.xxx.net.id/beranda-hc, now after deploying it becomes https://intranet.xxx.net.id/portal -hc / homepage-hc file and it becomes inaccessible or your routing problem, are there any suggestions when deploying the application to the server? This I move the public file to the root
Create .htaccess file and paste this code and make sure you have server.php file on your root folder
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
<IfModule mod_negotiation.c>
Options -MultiViews
</IfModule>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f
RewriteRule ^ ^$1 [N]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} (\.\w+$) [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ public/$1
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^ server.php
</IfModule>
I am storing all of image at custom directory at laravel project root folder.
Custom directory means i have created new folder like "upload_files" at root directory.
whenever i am calling any files from this directory url be like "http://domainName.com/upload_files/folderName/fileName.jpg
But it's loading at web view.
Note : Image are loading from public directory.
Here is my .htaccess file code below
Note : I created new .htaccess file at root directory instead public folder .htaccess both file are exisiting at the project
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
<IfModule mod_negotiation.c>
Options -MultiViews
</IfModule>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f
RewriteRule ^ ^$1 [N]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} (\.\w+$) [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ public/$1
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^ server.php
</IfModule>
# Deny index view Options -Indexes
# Deny view a specific file <Files .env> Order allow,deny Deny from all </Files>
Before these lines
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} (\.\w+$) [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ public/$1
Try to add this
RewriteCond $1 !^(upload_files)
This will allow access to upload_files
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
<IfModule mod_negotiation.c>
Options -MultiViews
</IfModule>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f
RewriteRule ^ ^$1 [N]
RewriteCond $1 !^(upload_files)
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} (\.\w+$) [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ public/$1
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^ server.php
</IfModule>
# Deny index view Options -Indexes
# Deny view a specific file <Files .env> Order allow,deny Deny from all </Files>
this should fix the problem
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ public/$1
means all your request going to the public folder. so here are we are excluding the request for the upload_files
RewriteCond $1 !^(upload_files)
