spring-cloud-starter-openfeign throwing build/resolve error for all other dependencies when added - spring-boot

I am new to Micro-services and was following a course on it. Adding spring-cloud-starter-openfeign maven dependency throws a build error and all the other dependencies start complaining about resolve issues. I am using latest Spring Boot- 2.6.0 version, so I am guessing there might me compatibility issue as the spring-boot 2.6.0 is quite latest.
It's only the issue with openfeign, as I created a micro-service with spring-cloud-starter-config, and wanted another micro-service to call it's api through openfeign, but unable to do so.
Any discussion on what's wrong would be helpful.
P.S:
I am bootstrapping the project from Spring Initilaizr
I am using spring-cloud-dependencies version 2021.0.0-RC1

Not sure if that fixes all problems, but in your pom.xml you refer to the EE Maven Repo with the name "camunda-bpm-nexus-ee":
<repository>

<server>
<id>camunda-bpm-ee</id>

<password>password***</password>
</server>
You need to choose the same id in both places. See also https://docs.camunda.org/get-started/apache-maven/#enterprise-edition-1

Basically the spring-boot-maven-plugin should be applied to only one project of which you want to create an executable jar. It must be removed from the other modules. To tell Maven to not build an executable jar for the Library project, you must remove the following block from the pom.xml created by the Spring Initializr.
For more details, see https://spring.io/guides/gs/multi-module/#initial
Just remove or comment out the block like following:
<!-- <build>
<plugins>
<plugin>
<groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-boot-maven-plugin</artifactId>
</plugin>
</plugins>
</build> -->
Alternatively, you could specify parent of the modules within the pom file with tag

Why Sleuth doesn't work with Log4j2 in my Spring Boot service

I really spent many hours to find solution for my problem. What should I do to use Log4j2 with Sleuth? Now Sleuth doesn't trace anything.
Thank you very much for your help.
Matthew
In your log4j2.xml, try to add following.
<PatternLayout pattern="[%d{yyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss:SSS}] [%X{X-B3-TraceId},%X{X-B3-SpanId},%X{X-B3-ParentSpanId},%X{X-Span-Export}] [%p] - %l - %m%n"/>
Then for some reason, specify the log4j2.xml path in your application.yml
logging.config=path/to/log4j2.xml
Good luck!

and I have run maven command: [mvn clean install spring-boot:repackage]
after that, moving to jar-installed location, I command [mvn spring-boot:run].
But it failed with errors.
Am I missing something?
You must not move to the jar installation package instead you must call
mvn spring-boot:run
in the directory where the pom.xml is.
If you want to run the produced jar:
java -jar <nameofyourjar>.jar

Spring boot with Spring Data Rest configuration error

I am working on a Spring Boot project and try to use Spring Data Rest.
I created the following interface:
package com.traders.diary;
import com.traders.diary.domain.Entry;
import org.springframework.data.repository.PagingAndSortingRepository;
import org.springframework.data.repository.query.Param;
import org.springframework.data.rest.core.annotation.RepositoryRestResource;
/**
* Created by mluecke on 12.01.16.
*/
#RepositoryRestResource(collectionResourceRel = "entry", path = "entry")
public interface EntryRepository extends PagingAndSortingRepository<Entry, Long>{
}
The problem is, that the import
import org.springframework.data.rest.core.annotation.RepositoryRestResource;
cannot be resolved, because package rest is not found.
my pom.xml does look like the following:
