How to use two data source for same entity in spring boot application running on tomcat - spring

I have one micro-service named order-service in spring boot.
:: Spring Boot :: (v2.0.5.RELEASE)
in that micro-service, in service layer I have 2 service class 1. OrderManagerService and OrderService. From OrderService I call Repository Interface IOrderRequestRepository which extends PagingAndSortingRepository interface. so The call is basically OrderManagerService -> OrderService -> IOrderRequestRepository.
Right now I am using one data source for the micro-service. Now my requirement is I have to use 2 data source because in OrderManagerService there is one method getCustomerVisitsForMonth(Long customerID) which frequently used and we don't want to give load on prod DB server. Instead we will use prod-replica server for this one particular method.
I have googled a lot of blogs and tried to implement but ending up getting different exception.
below are exceptions:
could not execute query; SQL [SELECT * FROM ....(this is the actual query)]; nested exception is org.hibernate.exception.SQLGrammarException: could not execute query",
Could not open JPA EntityManager for transaction; nested exception is org.hibernate.TransactionException: JDBC begin transaction failed:
Below are my sample code:
application-env.properties

I have checked manually in both Database for the query I am running. Data is present. But when I am running from postman to test
for replica, I am getting
Method threw 'org.springframework.dao.InvalidDataAccessResourceUsageException' exception. caused by org.hibernate.exception.SQLGrammarException: could not execute query
for main, I am getting
Transaction was marked for rollback only; cannot commit; nested exception is org.hibernate.TransactionException: Transaction was marked for rollback only; cannot commit
When I am using one datasource, the query is working fine.

The issue was with Entity class column name mapping issue, previously we were not mentioning #Column(name="column_name") , once I added the annotation, it started to work. But still I am confused how it is working fine when using single Data source

Detecting the insertion of data into the table and calling the method

I have an issue with detecting adding a new row to the table. I want to trigger a method from some service (Spring boot) when somebody executes an insert query on the database (Postgres)
Somebody told me I can use #Scheduled annotation and check if something was added using a repository. I have to make some changes instantly (by using another method). The scheduled method should run every 5 seconds to do this instantly. Of course, this is a really bad idea because it will kill the database someday and it's not efficient.
How can I do this better?
You can write concrete implementer of org.hibernate.integrator.spi.Integrator. and give it to hibernate.integrator_provider
From ServiceRegistry we can get EventListenerRegistry and then append listener of type EventType.POST_INSERT. More events here.
Main Reference Hibernate Integrator Ref
As per the query, I have also added how to call the service method from the listener class.
Here is how I have done it:

The answer from #silentsudo is the best one if you only ever use JPA to update the table in question, and if you only have one process updating it.
The issue is that since you are being notified via the JPA interceptor, you won't be notified of any updates that happen outside of your JAP repository.
If you need these other notifications, then you can use Postgres' LISTEN/NOTIFY without polling by using an alternate postgresql JDBC driver, pgjdbc-ng, which implements async notifications.
With this method, you create a trigger in the database to send the notification, so you will be notified of other's updates as well. See https://www.openmakesoftware.com/postgresql-listen-notify-events-example

The repository :
package com.app.dao;
//import java.util.List;
import org.springframework.data.jpa.repository.JpaRepository;
import org.springframework.stereotype.Repository;
import com.app.model.Admin;
#Repository
public interface AdminsRepository extends JpaRepository <Admin, Long>{ }
And my model :
package com.app.model;
import java.io.Serializable;
import javax.persistence.*;
import java.sql.Timestamp;
import java.util.List;
#Entity
#Table(name="admins")
#NamedQuery(name="Admin.findAll", query="SELECT a FROM Admin a")
public class Admin implements Serializable {
private static final long serialVersionUID = 1L;
#Id
private int id;
#Column(name="created_at")
private Timestamp createdAt;
private String email;
private String login;
private String password;
private String name;
private String surname;
// ... getters and setters + delegated methods
}
When I start running the application and open the browser I receive an error message:
No qualifying bean of type 'com.app.dao.AdminsRepository' available:
expected at least 1 bean which qualifies as autowire candidate. Dependency annotations:
{#org.springframework.beans.factory.annotation.Autowired(required=true)}
G'day David,
Just breaking down the answer moiljter already gave you.
You can only #Autowire objects that are declared in packages being scanned for components.
Currently, your #ComponentScan annotation only includes your controller package:
#ComponentScan("com.app.controller")
Broaden the search slightly like so:
#ComponentScan("com.app")
Then it should pick up your AdminsRepository and hum nicely.
Cheers,
ALS
You need to add "com.app.dao" to the list of packages that Spring will scan for components (and maybe also "com.app.model" if any of those annotations are Spring ones), or just change it to scan "com.app" (which will include everything in your app.

Error creating bean, Injection of autowired dependencies failed - 500 Internal Server Error

I have created a new Spring project and I have some trouble when I run the application. I am new to Spring development and I thing that the annotations are not placed properly. Any detailed explanation would be great for me for better understating. I am currently reading Spring in action, but if any other book or tutorial seems more accurate, please leave me a comment :)[this is the error that I am getting - 500 Internal Server Error].

As I understand, #ComponentScan scans and creates beans for the classes annotated #Component, #Service, #Controller,#Repository.
#EntityScan annotation is used to identify JPA entities(persistent classes).
Can you try by adding #EntityScan("org.npst.mb.entity")?
