Meshlab alignment issue - point-clouds

When I am trying to align two point clouds in meshlab, there is an error saying No successful arc among candidate Alignment arcs. And even though the point clouds after alignment can be seen in window, I cannot save it successfully. However I try, the ply file which I save always contains only the last layer, rather than all the layers. Dose the saving failure have something to do with the process error? How can I overcome this error? I work on Ubuntu 18.04 version.

Meshlab will only export one layer when you export to any output file format. If you have several layers that should be exported to same file you need to merge the layer with the filter Flatten visible layer.
To run this filter you can click with the right mouse button on the layer list, or find it in the menu Filter->Mesh Layer->Flatten visible layer

3D model scn file does not rotate or scale in AR kit

I started a new Xcode project with the ARKit template and simply replaced the "ship.scn" with my "test.scn" filename asset. The object is about 16.5mm wide and 4.8mm tall. The ship worked fine of course, but my test object that reads "test" does not rotate as I move around it, or scale when I move towards or away from it, yet it does track in one location.
I compared the ship and test attribute panels, and I can't find anything that is different about them, except that the ship is textured and my test text is not. What is inherently special about scn objects that would make them behave correctly in ARKit besides their size? I've read through the documentation about anchoring, but it seems like I wouldn't have to do this in code if it's already a scn object.
In case anyone wants to test the file I'm using in the ARKit template to see how it's behaving, the file is here: https://ufile.io/ey49t
I’m answering the question because I think it could help others that are making a similar mistake, but it can be closed if it doesn’t make sense.
The problem is that the size was much too large where I could not see scaling or rotation no matter how much I moved around the room. Compare the scaled size in the last attribute panel on the ship model - not its actual size. Then get the size of your own model scaled down enough so that it is actually resonable.

Codename one fly over animation

In codenameone, I have two container. One with the several images(source) and another with one image(destination). When i click a button i want the images from source to overlap in the image of destination. I tried using
findParentContainer().morphAndWait(findSourceContainer(), findDestinationContainer(),2000);
But it removes the destination container from its position then shows it in the destination container and make like the destination container is flying from source to destination.
I also tried by
1. adding another dummy container exactly like source container, alongside the destination container and then make that dummy container but it did not work.
2. also tried to make each individual image to morph but the image just went white after first image.
How can i make the images from source to fly over from their place to the desired contianer?
Components within the container are clipped to its bounds. To move a component from one container to another using an animation you need to create a faux layout within the layered pane and perform the animation there which is neither simple nor trivial.
There are some samples showing animations of this type specifically in the poker and solitaire demos where cards are moved to complex locations. Unfortunately at this time there is no "one size fits all" solution for animating from one Container to another.

Original skeleton position (Fbx import)

I was thinking that you need a deformer to read the clusters etc to be able to get the original (usually T pose) position of the skeleton.
Also FBX supports poses etc but never had a file that implemented it.
But my surprise was that importing an fbx file into 3dsmax without any mesh inside if I uncheck "animation" I get the T pose.
Any idea about it?
Thank you in adavnce
FbxCluster has GetTransformMatrix and GetTransformLinkMatrix. The former returns the original transform of the bone (that should be used to initialize the skinning), and the latter the corresponding orientation of the skinned node. Additionally, the skin node can also have "geometric rotation". I don't think there's anything more than that.

Mirroring a portion of the screen to an external display (in OSX)

I would like to write a program that can mirror a portion of the main display into a new window. Ideally this new window could then be displayed on an external monitor. I have seen this uiltity for a flightsim that does this on a pc (a multifunction display extractor).
CLick here for a screenshot of the program (MFD Extractor)
This would be a live window ie. constantaly updated video display not just a static graphic.
I have looked at screen magnifiers or vnc clients for ideas but I think I need to write something from scratch. I have tried to do some reading on osx programing but where do I start in terms of gaining access to the display? I somehow need to extract the graphics from a particular program. Is it best to go near the final output stage (the individual pixels sent to the display) or somewhere nearer the window management stage.
Any ideas or pointers would be much appreciated. I just need somewhere to start from.
Regards,
There are a few ways to do this:
Quartz Display Services will let you get access to the video memory for a screen.
Quartz Window Services (a.k.a. CGWindow) will let you create an image of everything that lies below a window. If you create a borderless, transparent, empty, high-level window whose frame occupies an entire screen, everything below it will be everything on that screen. (Of course, you could create a smaller window in order to copy a section of the screen.)
There's also a way to do it using OpenGL that I never fully understood. That technique is demonstrated by a couple of code samples, OpenGLScreenSnapshot and OpenGLCaptureToMovie. It's more or less obsoleted by CGWindow, though.
Each of those will get you an image that you can then show or write to a file or something.
To show an image, use NSImageView or IKImageView. If you want to magnify it, IKImageView has a zoomFactor property, but if you want nearest-neighbor scaling (like Pixie, DigitalColor Meter, or xScope), I think you'll need to write a custom view for that (but even that isn't all that hard).

Automatic selection of control points in Matlab

Is there a way to select the control points automatically in Matlab instead of manually selecting them by cpselect? Thank you very much.
I just recently worked on a project where I had to do the same thing -- eventually I found that you can select control points automatically, but only if you use automatic selection to find the control points for both the unregistered and the orthophoto. (The control points used to define image transforms are stored in matrices, so if you can get your automated system to output a set of point coordinates in matrix form you can pass them to straight to cp2tform and bypass cpselect entirely.) On the other hand, cpselect stores corresponding pairs of image points using some kind of special data structure, so that I was never able to just pass it a set of control points for one image while leaving the other image blank.
I don't have the Matlab Image Processing Toolbox, but I see from the documentation that cpeselect can be called with an argument specifying the initial set of control points. Can you reduce your task to automating the creation of that initial set?
