I have this problem that I show you in the picture
How I can add a string in the request?
This is my method in SpringBoot
This is the error
I edit the question to show this important picture. This is my table and "matricula" is a String and it is my ID
I need help to know how I can to add a String ID in the Postman request.
Thank you. Sorry for my English level.
Greetings.
For path /resource/{variableName}, the variableName must be same as the method parameter name or same as the alias in #PathVariable("variableName").
In your case, just change the mapping to #GetMapping("/coches/{matricula}"). And you should not use "" in request path. Request with /api/coches/1234ABC instead.

I have encountered an issue regarding Laravel 8 routes.
And I am unable to find a solution to this problem.
For example, I have this route format in Laravel:
$domain/password_reset?$email
Where it will look like this:
http://test-website.com/password_reset?test#gmail.com
I am aware that query parameters have ?key=value format. However in my case, the provided route format is what is expected (by client). Not the conventional key=value way. Also, the url link is clicked from an email. Wherein the link in the email uses the exact route format given (not url-encoded).
The sample request query that is fetched in the controller is as follows:
If you would notice, the email became a key (which is expected). And since it is a key, . has been changed to _. Instead of gmail.com it became gmail_com.
Would there be a better solution to get the exact email address from the url (not url-encoded) in this route format? Hopefully someone can help me with this. Thank you very much in advanced!
You should get the request query and parse it yourself:
[$path, $query] = explode('?',$request->fullUrl())
In the exemple above $query should hold everything after ? on the URL.
Alternativelly you can just get the key of the array you already have:
$email = array_keys($request->all())[0]
I went through so many links like How to show all controllers and mappings in a view and How to configure a default #RestController URI prefix for all controllers? and so on.
I want to get the Request Mapping URL at Filter interceptor
Ex: This URL I configured at REST controller method, and naturally we will pass /employees/employee-names/John to get the Employee John.
/employees/employee-names/{employee_name}
Now, when somebody hit /employees/employee-names/John I want to get the value of actual mapping url if REST controller /employees/employee-names/{employee_name},
Any pointers how to get that ?
Spring MVC sets the attribute HandlerMapping.BEST_MATCHING_PATTERN_ATTRIBUTE, which you can use to get the pattern that was used to match the incoming request:
String matchingPattern = (String) request.getAttribute(HandlerMapping.BEST_MATCHING_PATTERN_ATTRIBUTE)
That would return /employees/employee-names/{employee_name} in your case.
I was able to solve this issue using below code. AntPathMatcher is the perfect way to identify if the incoming request and URL you configured in the property file matches exactly. This solution works greatly for me.
AntPathMatcher springMatcher = new AntPathMatcher();
Optional<String> antMatch = props.getMapping().stream()
.filter(//Perform Some Filter as per need)
.map(Mapping::getVersion)
.findFirst();
return antMatch.isPresent() ? antMatch.get() : null;
I've developed a Spring API /getFileData, which accepts three URI parameters viz. businessDate/fileName/recordId. It is possible to have any of them can be passed as null. But I still want my API to be working in this case also. How can I achieve this?
I've tried using #GetMapping("getFileData/{businessDate}/{fileName}/{recordId}", "getFileData/{businessDate}//", "getFileData/{businessDate}/{fileName}/")..so on like this for all possible combinations.
#RequestMapping(value = "/getFileData/{businessDate}/{fileName}/{recordId}", method = RequestMethod.GET)
I want this API to be working for all the combination of URI parameters if something get missed out. for example someone requested,
/getFileData///22 or
/getFileData/22Dec2018/ or
/getFileData//treasure/22
You can do that with a #RequestParam of type java.util.Map.
With your design, you will have various #PathVariable params in the controller method as well as the order of path variables /{var1}/{var2}... constructs the url so I don't think it would be possible to skip a path variable in the url and still call the same controller method.
I got a big search module in my Codeigniter project. Well simply I am passing variable to a view like
<a href=<?php echo site_url('controller/view/1'); ?>>View List</a>
And fetching its data in controller like
$id=$this->uri->segment(3);
For pagination
http://wwww.site.com/controller/view/<filter id>/<page from>
This is working perfectly in the case of simple query.
Now I got some more filter quires like
Country
State
City
Customer type
etc etc
then the url should be
http://wwww.site.com/controller/view/1/id2/id3/i4/id5
Is this the correct way to do the process ? If not please give a little advice...
I am new to codeigniter
The problem you are facing i have recently found a solution for this.
When you are first sending parameters through url use POST instead.
When you get the parameters you can pass them to session in a variable
type. Next time when you paginate get the type value from session and
put it in your query to get the desired result.
If you have more than 1 parameters you can put them in sessions and
unset them on certain conditions so that they are not called in every query.
I think the best approach here is to create another method in the controller something like filtered_view that accepts a filter_id and a page number, and that methode will fetch the data from the database with the provided filter and you'll use your pagination class as usual.
Hope this help.
I am using struts 1.3.10. I need the query string from the request to use with the input attribute of the action mapping so that when validation fails, the forward goes to correct page without any null pointer exceptions. how can I do this? I do have the entire forward(myAction.do?foo="bar") as a form property posted throught he jsp. Plesae let me know if I am not clear on the problem definition.
Have you tried request.getQueryString()?
Example:
String queryString = request.getQueryString(); //where "request" is "HttpServletRequest"
