I am looking for the functionality to drag an attachment from one place and drag to text box
I am using
browser.action.drag_and_drop(src, tar).perform
to do the job but this method is just doing dragging the src element but not dropping to target instead the image is hanging around
Native drag and drop of html5 elements is broken in all of the major bowsers still. https://wpt.fyi/results/webdriver/tests/perform_actions/pointer.py
There are issues reported in chromedriver and geckodriver projects, but no progress for quite a while.

I am trying to add images for my app icon to my project using asset catalogs. My version of OSX is 10.9.3 and version of Xcode is 5.1.1. The Apple documentation states that you can drag and drop your images into the set boxes in the Asset Catalogs folder. However, many of my drag and drop boxes are cut off and I cannot horizontally scroll:
Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug? I couldn't find another way to add files to a specified size in an AppIcon set. Is there another way to do it?
Thanks!
You can simply fix this problem by hiding the side bar from the top of the screen. This will reveal all the image drops. Even so, just dropping the images in should auto-sort them into the right place
I currently have a series of 8 separate html files, with the idea that each one is a separate page in an iPad app. I have used jQuery Mobile to implement the page swipe between pages by using the 'data-next' and 'data-prev' attribute. However, the results are not great as i sometimes get a page flicker when i swipe, and css animations are very choppy when I test it on an actual iPad. I am also getting a 1 second delay before the actual swipe happens. I know JQM has a default delay of 300ms, but this is waaay longer! I have tried using the css 'translate3d' technique on animated elements, but it doesn't seem to fix it. I'm putting it down to JQM just being buggy as hell.
So my question is this..Is it possible to bring these files into Xcode, as separate independent html files, and implement the page swipe within Xcode itself?
No Not possible.
XCode allows you to create/edit UI and Transitions of cocoa touch controls only. However you can just edit these html/javascript files in XCode.
I am developing a website: http://www.techniquetolife.com
It's basically a div 5x as big as the window inside window sized div, with other divs within the large div, using the overscroll and scrollTo plugins to navigate.
The website works perfectly fine in Safari and Firefox for OS/X. But I am having serious trouble making it work in Chrome. I'm not sure if it's an Chrome OS/X only problem, but whenever I scroll over one of the inner divs within the large div, the whole browser slows down, this only happens in Chrome...
If I disable overscroll and use the scrollbars it works 100% fine, but I really want to use the overscroll drag to scroll plugin.
I am no good at coding so any help would be greatly appreciated.
All of the plugins / browsers are on the latest version.
Okay, well I posted an answer to a similar question that I think this might be related too. I could be wrong though, but you could test it.
See the full question and my full answer here: Chrome slow scrolling with fixed position elements
Problem and How to Monitor It
The reason for this is because Chrome for some reasons decides it needs to redecode and resize any images when a fixed panel goes over it. You can see this particularly well with
► Right Click Page -> Inspect Element -> Timeline -> Frames
► Hit Record on bottom
► Go back to the page and drag scrollbar up and down
This seems to just be a problem with the method Chrome is using to determine if a lower element needs to be repainted.
To make matters worse, you can't even get around the issue by creating a div above a scrollable div to avoid using the position:fixed attribute. This will actually cause the same effect. Pretty much Chrome says if anything on the page has to be drawn over an image (even in an iframe, div or whatever it might be), repaint that image. So despite what div/frame you are scrolling it, the problem persists.
The Easy Hack Solution
But I did find one hack to get around this issue that seems to have no downside as of now. By adding
-webkit-transform: translateZ(0);
To your fixed panel, putting that div in its own compositing layer.
I'm having some undesired behavior with movable panels in wxpython. I'm using the wxpython Cocoa build 2.9.2.3 for Python 2.7 on Mac OS X 10.6.7. I'm importing wx.aui and trying to create dockable panels.
I have a panel that I've created a wx.aui.AuiManager on and have added two panels, one on top and one on below. For both of them I have disabled the close button. Right now, the panels can be dragged into different dockable positions on the frame or off of the frame to create a floating window. This window shows up as the Mac native MiniFrame with a disabled close button. I do not want users to be able to separate the panels from the main frame.
I have passed .Floatable(False) to each pane's PaneInfo, but this won't allow the panels to be moved around at all, even if I pass a .Dockable(True)
Can I have panes in AUI that are dockable and movable, but not floatable?
I don't know if there's a way to do that or not. It may be a limitation of wx.aui. You should ask on the wxPython mailing list. Or you could try the mostly drop-in replacement: wx.agw.aui (http://xoomer.virgilio.it/infinity77/AGW_Docs/aui_module.html#aui). It fixes a bunch of bugs in the default wx.aui and is written in pure Python.
Update
Luckily, the code that WebKit uses to make this control draws onto a canvas using basic drawing operations, so it shouldn't be too hard to convert into a Cocoa control. This is what I have so far:Development progress so far http://img413.imageshack.us/img413/8418/capturedcran20100623074.png
I'll update here again once I get it finished.
Original question
I don't know what to call this sort of control, so I'll show pictures (from the iTunes dialog for a media player and the WebKit Web Inspector's Resource panel):
iTunes showing disk usage using this control http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/8245/capturedcran20100622144.png
Google Chrome's use of the control to show resource download speed http://img695.imageshack.us/img695/8245/capturedcran20100622144.png
I'm interested in using this sort of control in my Cocoa application. I've searched all over the Internets but haven't found much, seeing as I don't know its name - is there some sort of shared component that I can use for this?
Thanks!
On Safari it's implemented using javascript, see: SummaryBar.js.
That's a totally custom control, and I don't know of any open source counterpart (other than the one inside the Webkit source). Would you care to provide one? :)
