iCloud document sharing open in app on macOS - macos

We have a macOS app, SheetPlanner, that supports sharing a document with other people for collaboration, via iCloud Drive.
When someone shares a document in Apple Pages, e.g. via email, and someone else clicks the link to open the document, the panel offers to open the document "in Pages", and opens the document directly in the app:
But when we do the same with a SheetPlanner document, it is missing the "in SheetPlanner" part, and instead displays the document in the Finder:
What are we missing? How can we get the iCloud sharing mechanism to offer to open in the app?
Here's a video that demonstrates this.

How to open Apple Music (iTunes) links in new Music app (MacOS Catalina)

I have a web app that uses the MusicKitJS together with Apple Music's API to display information about music releases. The behaviour since MacOS Catalina has changed due to the introduction of the Music app and removal of iTunes. Links like this one, that did open the album in iTunes, don't open in the Music App:
https://music.apple.com/us/album/incredible-vice-ep/1491161925
I've done some digging on the above URL's page source, and noticed that if the https:// is replaced with itmss://, then the album does open in the Music app:
itmss://music.apple.com/us/album/incredible-vice-ep/1491161925
However, the behaviour seems to be broken:
If the Music app is already open on the machine, then the clicking the above link from a browser will put the focus on the Music app, and then properly redirect to the relevant album.
If the Music app isn't already open, then clicking the above link from a browser will launch the Music app, but it doesn't redirect to the relevant album.
Is there a way to both open the Music app if it isn't already open, and open the relevant album inside the app?
You should use the musics:// scheme and add app=itunes as query parameter.
Taking your example this would result in:
musics://music.apple.com/us/album/incredible-vice-ep/1491161925?app=itunes

Google Drive: Open share dialog

I want to open a share dialog (pick user's to share with and so on, standard Drive share dialog) in my desktop app. I have a browser integrated in my app, all I need is point out a URL to open the dialog. How can I get it? Can find in the doc.
Here is share dialog documentation for you.

Buying iTunes content from desktop app

I have a desktop application running on OS X and Windows. I'd like users to be able to buy iTunes content from within the app, and I'd like to earn via the affiliate program.
Is this allowed, and if so, how do I do it? The documentation states:
The use of the affiliate program inside apps is perfectly acceptable
and in fact encouraged behavior for app developers.
but it's not clear if this only applies to iOS apps, or desktop apps, too. Furthermore, I don't know how to pull it of in practice: It seems I am supposed to open a certain URL*. I believe on iOS, this is intercepted, and the user is taken to the App Store. On OS X (or Windows), it seems that this would flash a browser window before opening iTunes, which I'd like to avoid. I'd like to directly open iTunes with the purchase option. Or do I have to embed a browser frame in my app and use some kind of web interface?
*) There is some redirecting, and I can improve the user experience with 'short links', or by handling the redirection manually in the background, but in the end there is always an openURL call.
www.apple.com/itunes/affiliates/
the program applies to most content types, links can be on a website or within an app. essentially anywhere a iTunes store is: Mac: iTunes and Mac App Store. and on iOS: app store, itunes store and iBookstore. and Win: Itunes Store.

Interact with Google Chrome bookmarks from a Cocoa App

I am trying to write a Cocoa App that needs to manipulate Chrome Bookmarks. What is the best way to get access to Chrome bookmarks to allow insertion, deletion, updating.
Chrome stores its bookmarks in a simple text file called Bookmarks which (on OS X) is stored in the user home directory, $HOME/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome/Default/Bookmarks. It's a JSON file for which I guess there are several libraries API available. (like this one)
If you mean to directly manipulate the bookmarks stored in Google cloud, check this link.

WP7 Extras Menu, What is it for?

I'm trying to find out about the Extras menu on windows phone. Extras.xml. Here is what I've found (there isn't much out there)
Adding extras.xml to your app will put it into the 'extras menu'
Extras menu is available in your media library
you can send media to your app via extras menu
What else is this used for? Where else can it go? Can you use extras menu in your app or is it an OS only menu? Is it limited to media?
You can use Extras in order to further integrate your app into the OS. For example, a user can view a picture from the Pictures Hub. If your app uses the Extras file, then it'll appear as an option from within the Pictures Hub. The user can then tap on your app (from the picture's menu) and your app will launch, with the OS passing the picture to your app as a parameter. Your app reads in the image and performs some sort of function on it. Using the Extras file is very easy as demonstrated on this MSDN page.
The Mango update will further enhance this by providing the Extras menu from within Bing search results. The demo shown recently showed the user searching for a movie in Bing. Straight from the results, the user can launch the IMDB app (or any other app that uses Extras) and have the system automatically send in the details of the movie they searched for. Within the IMDB app, they could see trailers, info etc...
