I have a dockerized spring boot application running on EC2. An Elastic File System is mounted with my EC2. I am trying to save downloaded files and the files are saving in docker vm file system, i mean file is downloading inside docker container. But i want to save downloaded files in my elastic file system(efs) mounted with my ec2 machine.

I configured the laravel application in the docker container on the Ubuntu server. Files uploaded with laravel file storage and linked php artisan storage:link. Files uploaded to laravel storage are available in both container and host.
Doesn't that mean duplication of the uploaded files, for example it
exists in docker container also in project source code in ubuntu
server?
I know that best way of storing uploaded files is some external space like aws s3, digitalocean spaces...
No there is no duplication. The files only exist once on the host machine and are mounted in the container as views (read/write)

You can add a mount point using "volumes" in the docker-compose file that will point to a folder in the host system. By default, docker isolates the container from everything else.
I am running robot framework (Selenium based) testing inside a Docker container. But I need to access files outside the Docker container (in Mac).
I have tried providing absolute path of the Mac but Docker refers it's core folder as the root folder.

one approach is copy your files inside docker container at creation time, but if your files updates by another service on host, and it needs to access them too, just mount it like below.
docker run -d --name your-container -v /path/to/files/:/path/inside/container containername:version
this way files on the host machine mounts into docker container and the user inside container can access them.

Basically I want to create a "snapshot" of my current Ubuntu box, which has compiled binaries and various apt-get packages installed on it. I want to create a docker instance of this as a file that I can distribute to my AWS ec2 instances which will be stored on S3 bucket that will be mounted by the ec2.
Is it possible to achieve this, and how do you get started?
You won't be able to take a snapshot of a current box and use it as a docker container, but you can certainly create a container to use on your EC2 instances.
Create a Dockerfile that builds the system exactly as you want it.
Once you've created the perfect Dockerfile, export a container to a tarball
Upload the tarball to S3
On your EC2 instances, download the tarball and import it as a Docker container.
Are you planning to use something like s3fs to mount an S3 bucket? Otherwise you can just copy the tarball from your bucket either as a userdata boot script or during a chef/puppet/ansible provisioning step. Depends how you want to structure it.
