How to load BLOB files from Oracle to Snowflake and download them from there - oracle

I have BLOB files (pdfs) on Oracle and I'm trying to migrate them all to Snowflake.
My goal is to be able to download the BLOB files (that would be the VARBINARY then) from Snowflake directly instead of just having the hex code.
I understand I'd need a Amazon S3 bucket or any blob storage but still, how from Snowflake could I have access to the pdf files as it is column-based relational database?
How would I do it?
Thank you

Copying JSON data from CosmosDB to Snowflake through ADF

**Hello,
I am trying to copy data from Cosmos DB to Snowflake through Azure Data Factory. But I get the error- "Direct copying data to Snowflake is only supported when source dataset is DelimitedText, Parquet, JSON with Azure Blob Storage or Amazon S3 linked service, for other dataset or linked service, please enable staging". Would that imply that I need to create a linked service with blob storage? What URL and SAS token should I give? Do I need to move everything to Blob and then move forward with staging?
Any help is appreciated. Thank You very much.**
Try it with a data flow activity instead of a copy activity

Load .DMP oracle file from local machine to RDS Oracle

I am wandering around and didn't get an answer to this question.
is there any way to import Oracle .dmp file stored on a local machine to RDS Oracle?
If Yes how to do it?
Else why it's not possible to do so as other databases gave the flexibility to do these kinds of imports through more than one way.
You can't do that. When you import data with Oracle Data Pump, you must transfer the dump file that contains the data from the source database to the target database**. You can transfer the dump file using an Amazon S3 bucket or by using a database link between the two databases.
If your local machine contains a database and you have a network connection between your on-premises database and your Oracle RDS , then you can use NETWORK_LINK, although I don't recommend it. It is much better to tranfer the file using S3 bucket.

how to connect to oracle database from snowflake?

I have to pull some data from oracle and update the data in snowflake. And ofcourse the size of the data is 5gb.
Is there any procedure to connect to oracle database from snowflake? OR
Do I need to connect them using a programming language as python?
You'll need to unload the data from Oracle and load into Snowflake, as there are no "direct connect" options I've ever heard about.
I'd use SQL*Loader to unload, push the files to AWS S3 (or your cloud vendor's storage), and issue Snowflake COPY INTO TABLE commands, it should be fairly straightforward.
There is no equivalent to Oracle database links in Snowflake. You would need an external process to move the data from Oracle to S3. Then you can configure a Snowpipe task to load from S3 into Snowflake. See Loading Continuously Using Snowpipe for more information.
I would suggest to use python programming to extract and load data from oracle to snowflake. Since your oracle table is being updated daily write python program to generate merge statement dynamically to load your incremental data from oracle to snowflake.
Snowflake supports Java script based stored procedure so you can use stored procedure to generate merge statement dynamically by passing table name as parameter and you can call it via python.
Initial load from oracle to snowflake may take time as you have 5GB data from your source system.

Backup Azure blob storage in line with SQL Azure DB

It is recommended that we store document information in blob storage. In our case the blob storage is related to the SQL Azure data, is the facility available to back up the blob storage in sync with the SQL Azure data ? What I don't want to see is a point in time restore of the SQL Azure data only to find we don't have the same snapshot of the blob data at that time :(
Does anyone know what is available
Interesting issue you have to solve. But there is no automated way to keep in sync BLOB and Azure SQL Database Data. You have to do manage this yourself. And here is not just about blob snapshots. How about your updated DB record refers to a new blob. What happens with the old one ?! This is all business rules to apply at application level. And you have to question yourself to what degree you want that backup of Blobs.
Here is an interesting blog post on Azure SQL and Storage backup. But again - there is no service that will keep for you in sync data between SQL DB and Azure Storage.

How insert mp3 file into oracle database

I'm useing java to write some programe,
I need to insert some file into database such as ".mp3, .wav" files.
by the way how insert these file into oracle database?
Have you considered just storing the MP3 metadata and file location. I worked on a image server years ago and we attempted storing the images inside the database. It was much faster to just hand off the file location to the server service requesting it, then it would fetch the file. It is possible to load the mp3 binary file into a the database as a BLOB if you really want to.
