I need to compare 2 set of list of strings in JMeter and get the matched values from that list, for that I have used regular expression with Match No. as '-1' to get all the values from the response.
can anyone help me to achieve this using any beanshell scripting or any controller

foo_1=doorandframe

bar_1=08_08_22

and would like to get the list of project codes which are present in both extracted lists you can do it using a suitable JSR223 Test Element and the following Groovy code

I have an xml

I want to fetch the value from the XML based on the dynamic tag in ESQL. I have tried like this
SET dynamicTag = 'child_'||num;
SET value = InputRoot.XMLNSC.parent.(XML.Element)dynamicTag;
Here num is the value received from the input it can be one or two. The result should be value = ROY if num is one and value is VIC if num is two.

Because the names of the fields appear in the ESQL program, they must be known when the program is written. This limitation can be avoided by using the alternative syntax that uses braces ( { ... } ).
So can change your code like this:
SET value = InputRoot.XMLNSC.parent.(XMLNSC.Element){dynamicTag};
Notice the change of the element type as well, see comment of #kimbert.
Below is the code which i have been trying to address the below UseCase in JMETER.Quick help is appreciated.
Usecase:
A particular text like "History" in a page response needs to be validated and the if the text counts is more than 50 a random selection of the options within the page needs to be made.And if the text counts is less than 50 1st option needs to be selected.
I am new to Jmeter and trying to solve this usingJSR223 POST processor but somehow stuck at vars.put function where i am unable to see the desired number being populated within the V paramter.
Using a boundary extractor where match no 1 should suffice the 1st selection and 0 should suffice the random selection.

You cannot store an integer in JMeter Variables using vars.put() function, you either need to cast it to String first, to wit change this line:
vars.put("V", DesiredNumber)
to this one
vars.put("V", DesiredNumber as String)
alternatively you can use vars.putObject() function which can store literally everything however you will be able to use the value only in JSR223 Elements by calling vars.getObject()
Whenever you face a problem with your JMeter script get used to look at jmeter.log file or toggle Log Viewer window - in absolute majority of cases you will find the root cause of your problem in the log file:

I have tried using the regular expression extractor :

But the above regular expression works only if there are 16 values in the response. If the response contains less number of values, for example, "ACCOUNT_DETAIL_ACCOUNT_PRODUCT_SERVICES_EDIT_UPDATE_NameSpace.grid.setSelectedKeys(["BSS1","DS1"]);"
then the above regular expression doesn't work.
How can I extract the values in the response if the total count is unknown?
Also the double quotes in the response need to be omitted.
Is there any post processor using which dynamic values can be extracted?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
I believe it will be easier with some scripting.
Add Beanshell PostProcessor as a child of the request which returns aforementioned response
Put the following code into the PostProcessor's "Script" area:

data is byte array containing parent sampler's response data
vars is a shorthand to JMeterVariables class which provides read/write access to JMeter Variables.
As a result you'll have variables like:
Keys_1=BSS1
Keys_2=DS1
..
Keys_matchNr=X

I would expect TestDouble() to yield 1,23 in the XML. Can anyone explain why this isn't the case and, more importantly, how to make it so that it does?
It is because the conversion from double to string happens at different stage for each API. For the TestString API, double.ToString() is used to convert the number to a string using CurrentCulture of the current thread and it happens when the TestString method is called. Meanwhile, the double number which is returned by TestDouble is serialized to string during the serialization step which uses GlobalConfiguration.Configuration.Formatters.JsonFormatter.SerializerSettings.Culture.
In my opinion, both should use InvariantCulture. On the consumer side, the values will be parsed and be formatted with the correct culture.
Update: this is only used for JsonFormatter. XmlFormatter doesn't have such a setting.

It seems (decimal) numbers need special converter to make it culture-aware:
