Using xamarin forms, I am trying to create an app for android tablet with layout navigation structure which should have
left side menu items and right side its pages in the same screen (no overlapping menu panel required in ux)
Master detail page is a option but it will create fly layout appearance and ux will not match upto the requirement.
I need mvvm structure on viewmodel navigation to its pages.
Any help would be appreciated on this.

I am using master detail page. In iOS when I click hamburger icon the master page slides the detail page to right in iOS. I want when we click on hamburger icon the master page should come over detail page like in android. The detail page should not slide to right, it should stable and Master page should overlap it in ios. In android its working fine. How can I achieve it in ios also?
In your Master Detail Page Xaml or CS file you need to set the attribute MasterBehaviour to be equal to the type Popover.
You must then on pressing the hamburger icon change the IsPresented variable from false to true or the reverse if you would like to slide the drawer out or back in.
Xamarin.Forms currently (v3.40) have a pretty terrible implementation of the MasterDetailPage I have raised issues on GitHub and I am currently working on a pull request to fix their bugs for them.
The issue I need to create left and right side menu without using a plugin in Xamarin forms but right side menu is not supported.
can I create layout contains main content, left and right drawer using xamarin native and use this layout as the master layout in Xamarin forms?
If you want to have both menus, you can use the following:
Use a layaout for the main content and add two buttons (one for display right menu, the other for the left).
Add a layout after the main for the left menu and set visibility to hide
Add the code that when the user tap the button, changes the visibility of the layout created in 2.
Repeat for the right menu.
This is a easy way to achieve it. I hope this can help you.
you can use slideoverkit, if you want to with the plugin. This will help you otherwise it will take a lot of time for some perfect solution.
I'm using Xamarin Forms with Prism and I need to create a layout with a sidebar menu and a fixed bar at the bottom of the screen with quick actions like instagram app for iOS and Android.
I was thinking in use MasterDetail but how can I add that fixed bar at bottom of the Detail controller and keep it when detail page changes?
And the second thing is that I have a specific page that has form sections separated by tabs, so how can I render tabs at the top of the page for iOS (like Android)?
Something like this:
Im new in Xamarin, for the last couple of days i've been doing some searching on Side menu panel that supports both Xamarin.iOS and Xamarin.Android and can include an image at the top of it like the screenshot shown below.
Side menu screenshot
Any components in mind? if there is no component how can i do it by myself?
Android has the Navigation Draw for side slide out menus.
For iOS there are quite a few components such as Flyout Navigation, ActionTray and Sidebar Navigation
Is there any way to create ios like navigation drawer in android using xamarin
Master and Detail page should slide from left to right and should not overlap detail page
Master page should occupy full height (either after notification bar or including notificationbar)
