Issue displaying leaflet geoserver overlays after windows update - windows

I have a number of overlays for my leaflet web map that were working perfectly until this morning when my Windows 10 updated. Now when I check the box to turn the overlay layer on, the layer isn't added to the map. I haven't changed anything with the leaflet mapping code and I can log onto the geoserver from a different computer in my office so I'm assuming that it started up just fine. Am I missing something? Could the windows update have altered something that I need to switch back? Thought I'd ask this group since you all seem quite knowledgeable with troubleshooting strange issues.

Minmizing OpenGL app while preserving EGL Context results in HUGE PROBLEM

I'm using opengl es 3.0 API with the android studio ndk to create apps.
But I've encountered a very huge problem. I've created a demo app, all it does it change the background color of the screen from white to black and vice versa, every frame. And so when I go to minimize this app, I still see it rendering the background, mostly at the edges of the screen, and not in full color but still very strongly apparent. And it doesn't go away when I close the app, when I restart the device, or when I run "kill apps" on it. Only a factory data reset fixes the issue, so it's not easy for me to debug this.
This is the relevant code that I'm using for when the app is minimized and receives the APP_CMD_TERMINATE event:
eglMakeCurrent(engine->display,EGL_NO_SURFACE,EGL_NO_SURFACE,EGL_NO_CONTEXT);
eglDestroySurface(engine->display,engine->surface);
engine->display = EGL_NO_DISPLAY;
engine->surface = EGL_NO_SURFACE;
I've error checked that eglDestroySurface() is successful.
And I've put debugging messages in to make sure that the main draw loop is NOT executing when the app is minimized. But the problem persists and I don't know what to do about it. Thanks for any help.
UPDATE: well, no one has responded, and I still don't know what to do. Could it be related to threads?
UPDATE: Still can't determine what it is, but for some reason it's messing with the System UI. Willing to upload my entire source code somewhere if someone would be willing to go through this with me, as I'd really like to be able to continue working on my game engine.
Is it the "Strict Mode" developer option on the device settings, perhaps?
That one flashes the screen if an app is blocking.
It would explain why a factory reset changes behaviour.
The answer is not a solution here. The above comment by the user columbo was correct.
I've demoed switching from black to white at high framerates on 3 different android devices, and also my Linux Desktop, all via the openGL api, and it has exhibited this issue on all the devices. So what he said must be correct: this is a problem with LCD monitor technology itself. Interestingly, doing completely random colors does not cause this problem.

Windows Forms text grows too big when run on another PC

I've got a VB.Net Windows Form application containing several controls (labels, groupboxes, comboboxes, etc.) This application is deployed to several PCs running Windows 10. There are also Win10 tablets connecting to these PCs via Remote Desktop. The issue is that the text on the form sometimes gets resized and overlaps onto other controls when viewed on the tablet. In other words, the text becomes too big.
I thought this was only happening when using Remote Desktop but today I saw it happen on a PC too. This is the first time this has happened. One difference is that the PC was re-imaged in the field instead of being brought back to the office first. The monitors used between the two locations are different, and I'm suspecting this has something to do with it. I know there are DPI and resolution factors to consider but don't fully understand how to rectify them in this case, or if they're even applicable.
Here's how it looks as designed and running on my dev PC:
And here's how it looks when running on the production PC (sorry for the grainy image):
Of note is that some text doesn't appear to get oversized, for example the "Currently: 6 ft/min". All fonts are Microsoft Sans Serif.
Suggestions?
The answer provided here worked for me by changing the compatibility settings for the executable. Another method is provided here but I haven't had a chance to test it yet.

Laravel after upload weird look

I have a weird problem, everything with my Laravel app is setupped and was working fine both in local server and shared linux server, now in dedicated windows server some fonts has been larger and some functions are not working properly such as twitter bootstrap confirmation model, it reduces the background light but it doesn't show the pop up as well as footer items has no padding, it have came to the very top of the footer. I checked the inspect elements and everything is loaded. Have anyone faced the same problem?

Images a bit broken in Typo3

I have first experienced troubles with pictures when their size has been generated as 0 when inserted for example as a picture content element. Now I have started using RTE and when I try to insert a picture a windows pops up up with the list of available pictures but when I select one, the popped up windows goes blank and never recovers. When I deploy the app on the server everything works fine. What might be wrong with my local environment?

Silverlight 5: 3D with XNA on Macintosh

I have acutaly access to an closed beta of an online application developed with silverlight 5. Within there's a feature, showing some 3D scenes. There have been used XNA for the 3D. From a windows-pc all work fine. But when I test it from an Mac with OSX the Silverlight-App works fine, too. But not the 3D feature. In upper left corner there's a information showing: "Render Mode: Unavailable" and "Reason: "Not3DCapable".
So I pushed this example to my IIS. This time from Windows all is fine but when trying to access from OSX (Firefox) it starts to load Silverlight but after showing 100% nothing happens. The scene is not shown.
Does anyone has any clue, what to do to support mac?
Unfortunately I found some other websites like this Blog (see the 3. FAQ) and this Blog (see comments) whose say the same: 3D doesn't work on mac.
Sadly Microsoft seems to keep this fact officially secret. Found this Page where I had expected to read something like "3D not supported". Isn't this sad? I thought Silverlight should be platform independent? I hope they will change their mind and add a support for OpenGL or something like that.
