Failed to run "electric builder" on kylin - electron-builder

There are two "kylin" computers made in China. Their CPU models are different. One CPU model is "physium, ft – 2000/4 (64 bit, 4-core)", which can run "electric builder" normally. The other CPU model is "64cores physium, ft – 2000+/64 64bit". When running "electric builder", it will download (more like updating) the current version of electric (my electric version is 11.3.0) from github, Then the compilation fails, and one of the error prompts is exited with code err_ electron_ builder_ cannot_ Execute, should I upgrade the version of Electron in this case? Which version do you need to upgrade to? Thank you, please tell me
Since the node version was 10.16 at the beginning, after updating it to 10.24, the same error will still be displayed when running "electric builder"。

Sample executable hanging after fresh Windows OMNeT++ Installation

I was trying to use OMNeT++ earlier today but I was unable to get any simulation to run. I tried numerous model simulations but they began hanging at the same place during initialization. I deleted and re-installed OMNeT++, but the problem persists. So even after a fresh install of OMNeT++ v5.5.1 on a Windows 10 v1903 machine, I am unable to run any simulation. This is what I saw when I ran the Aloha sample simulation executable directly after following all the OMNeT++ installation steps:
The Qtenv simulation window starts up but it's completely blank, and I can't actually focus on it, which leads me to believe there's something up with Qt. The program hangs indefinitely at this point. OMNeT++ was configured using the default values found in configure.user.
Any suggestions?

Did you connect additional monitor to your computer? Sometimes Windows remember position of an application on non-existed screen. Try to change your screen properties or connect second screen and look for Qtenv window of Aloha simulation.
Besides the above, delete .qtenvrc from samples/aloha.

Manufacturing date of computer running on Windows 7 onwards

I am working on an application for our IT support team. For one of the requirement, I need to find out the manufacturing date of a laptop (and some desktops). I did some googling and found some solutions but none of them are feasible in my case:
Serial Number : get the serial number from the back of the machine and access the vendor's site with given serial number and get all the details.
-> This is not going to work because there are hundreds of machines and from many vendors like Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc.
Operating System : I can extract all the OS level info by using "systeminfo.exe". There is a field called "Original Install Date" which will give a date when OS was installed on the machine.
-> This is also not going to work for me because whenever a laptop is assigned to a new user, it is being formatted and fresh OS image is being deployed so everything this date will change.
BIOS : In one of the articles it is being stated that because BIOS is installed as soon as the assembly is finished so it can provide the most accurate date when the machine was ready to end user use after installing OS. So I have used "Win32_Bios" WMI class to extract this data.
-> The problem with this approach is whenever any BIOS version upgrade happens, this BIOS date is also getting modified, so I cannot get the real manufacturing date of the machine.
Last approach, I thought if I can get the processor manufacturing date then I might get some approximate date when the machine came into existence. I checked Device Manager --> Processors --> Properties.
-> Problem with this approach is, I am seeing the version and date of the processor driver and not the real processor and this date is showing way back from 2006
I would really appreciate if someone please share their views or experiences regarding the above situation.
I know this kind of the question has been asked before and it has been closed down because people thought it is not very interesting topic to discuss so I really request to all please do not close this question. Let's give a chance to everyone to share their views.

RAD studio takes very long time to open

I was using RAD 10.1 (Berlin) with no problem until now... Last month I applied Windows Creator Update and was occupied by other businesses... Now, each time I start the IDE, the loading progresses quickly up to "All design time packages loaded". At this time RAD studio sits on its splash window and consumes ~25% CPU. It takes at least 10 minutes before the IDE appears...
I've installed RAD 10.2 (Tokyo) and all provided patches, hoping for a fix... But the problem remains the same.
I can't go back to previous version of Windows 10 (more than 10 days after install).
I've already searched for an answer and Matthias E suggested that it was linked to https://quality.embarcadero.com/browse/RSP-17972.
But, in my case, the (very) long period stands only for IDE loading even when there is no project to (auto)load. I'm not talking about the time-period to load the project or to start project execution or even to start the application execution. Once the IDE has been loaded (after ~20'), everything (editing, compilation, building, debugging, execution) is working quickly...
I have become accustomed to never close the IDE once opened but this is particularly disturbing.
Could you help me ?

Debugger problems with Tokyo/Berlin and Creators:
App takes a long time to load with modules loading and unloading and re-loading many times
IDE freezes
Memory consumption of bds.exe explodes, sometimes (> 3GB)

Thanks to Lieven Keersmaekers's suggestion to use procmon, I was able to find the cause of the problem. RAD studio was heavily trying to access an enormous (128 GB) zip backup file (see : qed-electronic.com/Download/170808-ProcMonTrace.jpg ). I've simply moved the backup file to another location and RAD studio now starts as before. I have no idea why RAD wanted so much to access this file : none of my project files were located in this zip. The Windows Creator Update was apparently not guilty...

To run quickly without entring TaskManager and change Setting CPUAffinity,
just create a batch file on the desktop:

start /affinity 1 bds.exe

Xcode Server Bots not running tests

I'm trying, but failing to setup a reliable continuous integration environment using Xcode server.
I have a git repository on a headless mac mini server running the Xcode server service, the server has a separate development user account with administrator privileges that is used by Xcode.
I have setup my schemes, with testing included and shared them to the repository.
The bots run, check out code, build, analyze and archive, but only seems to run tests when it feels like it, which is almost never. I've checked the schemes and they have not changed since Xcode ran the tests and when it didn't.
On first setting them up, tests wouldn't run at all, until I added administrator privileges to the development account, then the tests ran a couple of times, before Xcode server decided to stop running them again.
I don't seem to get any reason why the tests aren't run, sometimes the bots fail to run because of some crash during the setup, and an error is reported, but mostly the bot seems to run, they just don't execute the tests, and no error is reported.
I've logged in remotely to the server, and the simulator is running, but never seems to do anything.
Here's a screenshot of an example bot, you can see the tests used to run, it sees I've reduced my warnings and got rid of an analysis issue. You can also see where no tests run, and no kind of warning or error is given as to why.
I've tried restarting the server, nope.

It's really frustrating and can't find any recent issues that offer a proper solution to this. The server is in constant use running backups and other tasks, so I'd rather not have a solution that involves me logging in to the server and restarting something every time there's a problem, which is always, it makes the whole point of bots useless if I'm spending more time logging in to my server trying to get them to work than they are at actually running.
Anyone have similar issues and a solution?
Edit: Noticed that my memory usage was very high on the server, memory pressure was practically always amber, so went out and got some memory today, increased the mac mini's memory from 4GB to 16GB, and now the tests have started running again. Also, the whole process is much faster (less than surprising i guess).
Could it just be low memory causing problems with the simulator? I've only just installed the memory and restarted, so I'll give it a few test runs before I confirm this solution, it's stopped working before...
Seems that this may be a memory issue, I upgraded the servers memory from 4GB to 16GB as my Activity monitor was showing significant memory pressure.
Since doing this, the bots started running tests again, and the total running time for the bot is a quarter that it was.
As per my edit, I've been running the bots for a day now, including bots that run on multiple simulators, and everything seems to be fine.
It's not very good that no obvious indication is given in xcode as to why the tests didn't run.
For reference and to see if this might fix your problems, original server specs were :
Mac Mini Server edition (late 2012)
2.3 GHz Intel Core i7
4GB memory
2x1TB drives
Replaced the 2x2GB memory sticks with 2x8GB sticks (The maximum allowed for the model)
EDIT : After a month of running with no problems, increasing the memory has solved the problem permanently.

New Python Install; Scripts Running very Slow

Current Python Version 2.7.10 - I have tried a straight download from python.org and the Anaconda distribution.
Previous Python Version was 2.7.x (don't remember) - I know it was an Enthought Canopy distribution.
I just 'upgraded' windows from 7 to 10pro. I reinstalled everything on my computer for a fresh start. I installed the most recent version of Python 2.7.10. I am now running a script that I was running just yesterday on my Windows 7 OS, and it is running incomprehensibly slow now, and I have no idea why. It is a script that is based on the code from a tutorial found here:

It has a lot of data that is loaded, and it wasn't running super fast before, but now it takes so long, it looks like it's frozen. Any thoughts? I thought that it had something to do with packages that I had installed on my previous Python environment, like a C-compiler or something. The output is nothing, because it just hangs for a long time and slowly moves through the script. It isn't broken, there isn't a loop it's stuck in. If I wait long enough, it will start showing me the correct output. When I hit 'Ctrl-C' this is what I get.

The problem may be caused by a misconfiguration of virus checking software on the problem machine. Some virus scanners have been known to introduce startup overhead of two orders of magnitude when the scanner is configured to monitor all reads from the filesystem. Try checking the configuration of virus scanning software on your systems to ensure that they are indeed configured identically. McAfee, when configured to scan all file system read activity, is a particular offender.
Unfortunately, I don't have a quick way to test whether disabling file system protection will help, so I hope it will solve your problem and will be glad to hear from you.
